Went during the last weekend of June and the hydrangeas were in full bloom! I preferred going during the day because the flowers looked naturally vibrant. For the night light up they use blue lights which gave the flowers a bit of an artificial looking tint. It gets crowded so I'd recommend going early. If you're going to the night light-up get there by 6:30.
