**“Our stay at the Golden Suite Hotel in Delhi was extremely disappointing in every sense. The reception, rooms, restaurant, security, and overall cleanliness were all far below the standard expected, let alone from a so-called 5-star property. The entire place smelled of dampness, felt unsafe, and was very poorly maintained.
When we arrived, the first room we were given didn’t even open — staff had to call an employee and then a locksmith to fix the lock, and it took 20 minutes before we could get inside. Once we did, the room was in terrible condition and had a horrible smell, so we had to move to a second room. Unfortunately, that second room was also uninhabitable: full of dampness, bad odor, dirt, missing amenities and towels, and not properly prepared. Completely exhausted, we had to wait until around 9:30 p.m. for a manager to finally take us to a third room, only after our travel agent called to complain. By then, we were worn out from the journey and frustrated to have to move our luggage once again.
The location is isolated, far from everything, and gives a neglected and unsafe impression. The extra bed for our daughter was unacceptable — very small, hard, unstable, and uncomfortable, making it unusable. The dining experience was equally poor: we waited 45 minutes for two sandwiches and some fries, which were extremely overpriced. On top of that, we were forced to pay immediately (something unusual, as we normally settle bills at checkout), and no invoice was provided.
Breakfast was another disappointment: dirty tables, poor service, limited options, and low quality. When we asked for a clean table, the staff simply wiped it with a napkin and turned over the dirty placemat. The dining room, curtains, and doors all looked old, dirty, and uncared for.
In summary, this hotel is not 5-star by any means. It is poorly run, unhygienic, uncomfortable, and unsafe. We did not feel well or welcome at any point during our stay, and we would not recommend this hotel to anyone.”**
