We only had TWD1,000 with us, so the change should have been TWD900. While we weren't familiar with Taiwanese currency, throughout our trip, we never had a single miscalculation when paying at restaurants, bars, convenience stores, or taxis. Taiwanese people are friendly and trustworthy. We immediately went back to KEBUKE and explained to the man that we had received less than TWD500 in change. He denied that we paid with LinePay, then claimed that we paid with cash when we showed him the receipt, and finally asked to check the POS register. Without hesitation, he then retrieved TWD500 from the POS register, but he didn't offer an apology.
