Fried chicken takeaway
Hot-Star is a renowned stall located in the Shilin Night Market in Taiwan, known for serving some of the best deep-fried chicken cutlets, also known as jipai. The stall attracts long queues due to its massive and flavorful chicken cutlets that are the size of a person's face. Customers can choose between spicy or plain flavors and enjoy the crispy and well-seasoned taste.
Love Hot-Star so much, it's my go to every time I visit Taipei. I have lost count the amount of times I have had it. Its always has the crispiest/crunchy outer coating, super juicy inside and has the best flavor. The consistency over the years is simply amazing!
Kris T — Google review
XXXL size fried chicken chop. Tender. Crispy. But the chicken was too big (in a way) we were so stuffed after eating just one of this. The staffs worked efficiently. There were staff members dedicated to keep the queue on line. Overall, worthwhile to try but I don’t think I will go back to frequent this often.
Ky Y — Google review
Definitely a must try if you visit Taipei/Shilin Market. The chicken is so huge. Every chicken served is always fresh and hot out of the deep fryer. You have an option if you want it spicy or not. There are other Hotstar branches in different country, but having it in Taiwan will definitely complete your whole Tiawan experience!
Luigi S — Google review
Super huge chicken fillet, super juicy & good protein. You can tell this is fresh chicken, not the frozen thingy. The favor & crunch is just right. The zie-zag queue also super long if you go for it afyer sunset. My recommendation go earlier around 5 to 5.30om & continue your exploration through Shilin night market.
Justin W — Google review
Saw all the hype for XXXL Taiwanese fried chicken, so decided to head to Shilin Night market. The chicken stand is close to the street and there a huge queue but it moved quickly. Order the spicy version. The chicken cutlet is huge and very reasonably price. Its crispy and tender but most of the flavor is in the seasoning they sprinkle on at the end, in my case spicy chili pepper flavor that mostly coated on the outside breading. Its still super hot as it came right out of the fryer. The chicken itself is on the bland side. Visit for the novelty and the experience but in terms of taste, there are more tasty fried chicken out there.
Lam T — Google review
📍Place: one of the most popular place for fried chicken, it's basically a food stall at the side entrance to Shilin Night market. 🍛 Food: I am not a big fan of chicken thighs (even if it's bonless), but this one was amazing. Super crispy on the outside and very juicy on the inside, well spiced making it slightly hot, but it is just adding to the taste. Occasionally you can find some small bones in it, but overall it's perfect. 👩🏻‍🍳 Service: prepare for a long queue, it is very popular, I was waiting 15 minutes, but it's worth it.
Viktor L — Google review
Hot Star chicken refers to a Taiwanese-style fried chicken from the Hot Star Large Fried Chicken chain, known for its extra-large, flattened chicken cutlets. The chicken is typically a butterflied chicken breast, battered with a mix of potato and tapioca starch for a crispy, yet tender, result, and then deep-fried. It is a popular street food from Taiwan's night markets, available in various seasonings and styles. The large fried chicken cutlet is its signature feature, often described as being larger than a person's face. The menu also includes other fried items like popcorn chicken bites, fries, and fried oyster mushrooms, as well as drinks. In my opinion, it’s fried chicken! How can you not love this stuff. I don’t understand the 1 star reviews. For the price you’re paying especially when you’re a tourist it’s a lot of protein at $3 and change Canadian. It’s so big you can literally share it with another person.
Eddy W — Google review
Hot Star chicken in Shilin Night Market. The queue was long. But the servers were very efficient and did a great job. Big chunk of deep fried chicken; crispy batter & moist chicken. The spicy one is saltier & tastier than the original one. Although there was no bone on the top part of the fried chicken, there were some bones at the end of the chicken pieces.

When in Taipei, make sure to visit SHI YUN Taiwanese Fried Chicken Main Store for a delightful culinary experience. The most popular item on the menu is the salt pepper chicken, which comes boneless and generously portioned. While the seasoning leans towards the lighter side, the overall flavor is satisfying. The fried calamari and sweet potatoes are also available but may not be as impressive as other offerings. For a fun dining experience with friends, consider trying out their variety of fried items served on paper.
Been here countless times during my stay in taiwan few years ago, and just came here again recently. The food taste didn’t change at all, it’s still one of my favorite comfort foods (unhealthy one😂). Best part is that you can add your own extra seasoning to make it more salty and spicy. Loveee the soft tofu and chicken the best. Should definitely come here if you haven’t already been before !
Mugsey — Google review
We ordered through Uber Eats and it took a while to arrive, which may skew the rating a bit due to fried food should be eaten hot. Nonetheless, some of the items we’d ordered were good and others were so so. The egg tofu (just a name as there was no egg in it), the sweet rice stuffed in pig intestines and cucumbers (yes, you’ve read that correctly and we didn’t know you can deep fry cucumbers) were very good. I guess the old saying “it’s true that anything deep fried is good” has some truth to it. Others such as tempura and chicken were just okay.
Big C — Google review
This one is 100% recommended & must try!! They sells Taiwanese fried chicken and the other fried stuff. The squid and chicken taste really good. Besides, they also sell a tasty curry rice! If you buy the curry rice, they provides a free drink.
Gede D — Google review
Excellent fried chicken and other fried companion food was also tasty. The freshly chopped, deep fried garlic lifted the taste by a notch. Strongly recommended. Service can be a bit slow but mostly because they made every single order a fresh batch. Worth the wait.
Nancy B — Google review
Unknowingly ordered 300NTD worth of food here. It is very easy to over order if you want to try a variety of items. Chicken was good, though not the best. Love the french beans and shisamo.
RCSC — Google review
Got the fried chicken (no bones) and the fried calamari (squid?) And fried sweet potatoes. Overall, seasoning was nice but maybe on the lighter side. Chicken was yummy and the portion for 60NT was big. I would skip the squid next time, it's like a huge chunk of squid and not tentacles and thus tastes really bland like chewing an eraser. It seems like a lot of fun eating a bunch of fries stuff on a piece of paper with a bunch of friends in their sitting area. 😍👍
Vivian S — Google review
I think this restaurant just a normal Taiwan style fried chicken stand...not many differents to others, but the foods are still great! Highly recommend curry rice with fried chicken if you want to fill up your belly,or you can grab some chicken pop corns for a snack
詹皇誠 — Google review
The best item here is the fish balls. They are huge and substantial. Close seconds are the glutinous stuff: sweet taro mochi and sticky rice sausage. The skewers have the perfect amount of breading, and always come out hot and fresh despite the crowds. They are not saucy but more the dry and crispy type which they do so well. You can switch it up with a side of curry to soak up the grease. Green beans are the best vegetable pairing imo. There is downstairs seating with stools at a couple high tops/bar.

Taiwanese restaurant
French restaurant
Tairroir, located in Taipei and holding two Michelin stars, is the brainchild of Taiwan native Kai Ho. Having honed his skills at Guy Savoy's Singapore branch, Ho now applies French techniques to Taiwanese ingredients. The lunch and dinner set menus are reasonably priced and feature his signature dish: a luxurious twist on the local 'tea egg.' Additionally, during colder months, guests can inquire about an off-menu version of Taiwanese beef noodle soup.
3 stars Taiwanese fusion - overall we enjoyed but not sure if this is worthy of 3* Love their signature taro puree, sweet corn squid, crab and scallop. My least favourite would be the lobster which I feel it doesn’t go well with the green sauce.
ShuZhen C — Google review
Had the festive holiday menu. To be honest, not sure how it’s a 3-star restaurant. The food was quite mediocre. Most of the things weren’t anything special, the ribeye (main course) was quite lackluster. The desserts were also quite forgettable. The sommelier wasn’t very helpful in picking wines. There was 1 very interesting Taiwanese white wine though: lychee aroma but very crisp on the palette. The best thing was the celery foam on top of a warm nut-based soup. The food looks pretty though (photos attached). Also, the space was pretty small and I was surprised how close the tables were. It didn’t feel intimate, rather it felt like you could hear everyone’s conversations…
Edward H — Google review
Loved this place!!! Definitely is a three star experience Each dish was well done and the flavors fit together deliciously The server was very knowledgeable as well and able to explain each dish extremely clearly She was also very attentive by noticing that we were left handed and put our utensils on the left side for us without us mentioning These little details made the experience especially special for us There is also a pairing that you can do We chose to try the non alcohol wine options There are 3 drinks that are non alcoholic but made from wine We strongly recommend the Pinot Noir!! Our favorites were the appetizers and desserts at the end However for us it is definitely a lot of food We were quite full by the end of our meal Tastes almost the same as red wine Make sure to make a reservation in advance!!!
Kai W — Google review
It's only fitting that Tairroar is located right next to where Chef Andre's RAW used to be. The baton was passed to Chef Kai as far as the innovations techniques. The design is modern yet simplistic, bright yet calming, small yet cozy. We were seated next to the kitchen and we could glimpse into the heart of the restaurant through a glass window. The service was immaculate, our server was very accommodating, she explains each dish in both English and Mandarin. The pace of each course is spot-on, the entire 7 course Menu "Pong Pai" took under 3 hours. The appetizer starts with a bang, each element is visually striking: the gourd is refreshing, the clam pastry has unique texture, the bottarga is mild, the star jelly packs a punch. The octopus and asparagus dish feels like a drop from the apps in my opinion. I wonder if the sesame tofu fits the rest of the ingredients, it's too overpowering. The tea egg and congee is a simple Chinese breakfast but with French techniques elevate it to new heights. It tastes familiar but sophisticated. The flounder topped with a crispy layer of bread is not your regular fish sandwich casse croute snack. It's prepared at the perfect temperature without over cooking the fish. It's light and satisfying. The darling of the menu is decibel the lamb trio, prepared from 3 different cuts: saddleback, sirloin and filet. Great execution, the lamb does not taste gamey. The journey ends with a pear dessert which is a great fusion of Taiwanese and French influence. Al in all, it's a great experience. One suggestion would be to share the stories that tie the entire course. It would allow us to understand the inspiration of the menu.
Carl W — Google review
Absolutely earned its Michelin stars. Amazing story through Taiwanese food prepared with many classic French techniques. This is not Taiwanese street food, so please don’t expect that. There were an element or two in a few of the dishes that were less connected than others, but at this level of food that is pure subjective opinion. Exquisitely prepared. Wait Service was beyond reproach, sommelier could have been stronger in providing recommendations.
Evan B — Google review
It is a three star michelin, so I came here with the highest expectations. I had already had all of the dishes in the menu, so I was looking for their best version in the world. They were basically not, just one of them was "WOW", but the rest was just good. I, moreover, have a several small complains: - They asked us if we wanted to have an additional dish for 880 NTD. I am already paying 10000+, don't try to get easy additional money please! - We were two, so I am expecting I don't have to share the dish by myself, but to have single portions. - The service is pressing too much to bring the next dish, not letting you finish the course that they are bringing the next. - Gold is good electrical conductor, but it has no taste. At the end I believe it was more a 5000NTD than the 10k. (Water should be included in the price if you are already paying this much.)
Daniele C — Google review
Definitely not 3 star caliber. They made a big deal of me want more tea. No refill?!?!?! In the beginning they didn't ask for any special occasion celebration so during dessert I asked for a candle for birthday celebration and they couldn't accommodate. Service is lacking for this level of execution. Decent food for a one star level. Beautiful presentation, balanced flavors. It doesn't have the wow factor from what I expect for a 3 star.
Walo W — Google review
I took my mom and brother to dinner at Taïrroir: the service was excellent, but I was not impressed with the food. The appearance of some dishes was not enticing, and the food tasted bland. Of the six main dishes, only two stood out in flavor, presentation, creativity, and originality: the smoked pigeon and the pu’er tea organic egg. For dessert, the salted pineapple was exquisite in its combination of textures and flavors. The place is cozy and intimate, only 8 tables with a private dining area. 2 Michelin star restaurants are labeled as “Excellent cooking, worth a detour.” Maybe in the past, Taïrroir fit this description, but the current menu doesn’t live up to expectations.

Fuzhou Pepper Buns, also known as hu jiao bing, is a popular Taiwanese night market snack. These baked buns feature a crispy outer shell with sesame seeds and are filled with peppery marinated pork and scallions. The stall at Raohe Market in Taipei is the first one you'll encounter when entering from the northeast side.
It was tasty! Lowkey cheap as well. Make sure to bring cash. Even just the flaky bread itself was tasty. I’m not a fan of black peppers but this was still really good. I would definitely recommend to at least try. There wasn’t much of queue around 6 PM on a Friday night.
Blessy C — Google review
Wanted to love it but I did not. These buns have been featured in Michelin guides in that past and still get hype to this day. While the bread is good and served fresh, I did not enjoy the filling. The flavor wasn’t appealing to me and I either encountered some pieces of fat or soft bone. Glad I tried it though, it’s difficult to skip out on these while in Taipei given the love it gets. If you decide to try it, don’t be discouraged by the long line! It goes by quick.
Nik — Google review
Keeping the best memory of this place from my food tour in Taiwan !! Super strong and tasty flavors, buns made right in front of you. The bread is moist with a crusty shell - meat is perfectly seasoned with a strong taste of pepper but nothing spicy. 🍢 a street food really worth a try !! ⭐️
Sigrid R — Google review
We walked into Raohe Night Market without reading any reviews and were immediately greeted by a long line for the famous black pepper meat bun. Don’t be discouraged—the line moves quickly! The buns are baked fresh on-site, so they’re piping hot and flavorful when you get them. I personally wished there was a bit more meat in the filling, but the seasoning was well-balanced and not overpowering. Overall, we all enjoyed it—definitely a must-try when visiting Raohe Night Market!
Teadrinker — Google review
Food: taste was really good, well cooked, fresh and steaming hot. You can see their entire team preping for customers Service: was super fast and easy, but pls prepare cash for payment Atmosphere was great, they are just at the main entrance of the Raohe St. Night Market, you will feel curious the moment you see the long queu
Julius T — Google review
Fuzhou Pepper Pork Bun – Raohe Night Market, Taipei We visited the Raohe Night Market in Taipei early in the evening and were lucky to catch the Fuzhou pepper pork bun stall while they were busy baking fresh buns in a traditional clay oven (similar to a tandoor, though it’s properly known as a “tunnel oven” or “tonneau oven” in some Chinese street food settings). We ordered a few for takeaway and they were absolutely delicious. The buns were freshly baked with a beautifully crisp exterior, and the peppery pork filling was full of flavour, fragrant, juicy, and packed with just the right kick of spice. Definitely a worthwhile stop if you’re visiting the market. A simple yet satisfying treat that lives up to the hype!
Melissa H — Google review
The meat was super juicy, and the bun was very crispy on the outside but soft and chewy on the inside. They are super super generous with the filling and add a lot of spring onions to cut the greasiness of the meat. The first bite is genuinely sublime.
Jade L — Google review
A must try when you go to Raohe Night Market, located right at the entrance. There was a line when we visited, but it moved quickly. The pepper bun was hot, crispy, meaty, and tasty. The price is fair for what you get but it’s only for takeaway.

Hot Star Large Fried Chicken is a must-try when visiting Taiwan, particularly at its bustling Ximending location. The super-sized fried chicken boasts a crunchy breading and well-seasoned taste, with the inside turning out juicier than expected. While some find it less spicy than before, others appreciate the toned-down spice for tourists. Despite mixed reviews on dryness, many enjoy the crispy texture and non-greasy flavor.
Not sure about the low rating but the fried chicken was juicy, hot and delicious, there’s constantly ppl ordering, so need to wait awhile while they are frying fresh batches of chicken. There’s no spicy option now, so just one original type. Closes quite late, so definitely a good supper option.
Jerald K — Google review
I have been waiting for years to try Hot Star and I finally got my chance. It was HUGE, as big as your face, piping HOT, and NOT boneless. Majority of it did not have bones until near the end of the piece. It's super juicy and very tasty. Definitely very inexpensive for this much chicken. Would definitely come again and it is recommended. Just wished it was boneless.
T T — Google review
Fresh and crunchy! What The big piece of chicken! It was really good. I believe it was a piece of chicken breast/rib combo because the bottom part of the chicken was the bone part. So if you think the whole piece is a chicken meat, sorry. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I actually appreciated the bone part of the chicken as well. I love that it was freshly fried. For being freshly fried it didn't feel oily and was very crunchy. It definitely was hot and you need to nibble at it first. There was a lot of the seasoning, whatever the seasoning was, it was GOOD!! Environment This was in Ximending street. It is a stall and there is no seating available. you order and find your seating. It could get busy and chaotic. Niceness of the staff He just wants to take my order and fulfill my order. Let's say that's as far as it went Dollar It was very cheap comparing tot he US. Yes Definitely yes. Worth the hype.
Wendy C — Google review
Worth the experience. Super-sized fried chicken on the go, super hot & crispy on the outside & inside was a lot juicer than expected. One order was plenty for 2. Order the chicken first as you can get a discount coupon for the Juice & Tea shop next door. We got the Juice b4 the fried chicken.. should've known!
J K — Google review
One of the best friend chicken to try on. Their fried squid is tasty. They charged 2NT for a take away bag.
Kristoffer S — Google review
Huge Taiwanese Fried Chicken! Better flavor profile than their competitor (M). Looks affordable also. However, customer service needs improvement. The one selling is a little short-tempered (in the morning!?) 😂😂😂
Anthony A — Google review
Fooled by the Q, should have check the review before buying. The chicken is indeed large at TWD 100 but it is tasteless and dry. Thick coated flour makes everything worst. Taste: 1/5 Portion: 2/5 (60% flour) Price: 1/5
Byean — Google review
I'm not sure how the original stall in shilin tasted but food from this particular store wasn't good. I picked to eat the fried chicken pieces and tofu. Neither of it was good because they were hard and coarse. I didn't like the chicken texture. The fried tofu had more batter/flour then the tofu. Both items were "over fried", so it was tough. Maybe the original stall is better.

Known for its unique take on the beloved Three Cup Chicken, this restaurant serves Boneless Three Cup Chicken, featuring tender bite-sized pieces of chicken drumsticks stir-fried in a rich sauce made from soy sauce, sesame oil, rice wine, and other flavorful ingredients.
Great place for business lunch. Private rooms available. We ate family style in a room that held 13 people. Good service and delicious food.

I flew back to Taiwan to have a proper Taiwanese meal with my family before Lunar New Year ended. I would highly recommend making an early reservation as it’s always full house due to the office buildings and exhibition centres being located within 5-10 mins walking distance. As I didn’t make any reservation and walked in during lunchtime, we waited nearly 30 mins to be seated. Three of us ordered a two-pax lunch set meal and an extra vegan soup and dessert. It’s way too much for us, and we need to take it away. All the dishes were relatively excellent and appealing, but the pork was served too slowly, and we almost forgot about it. Identical to the dessert, I have to go over to the waitress to inform them that we have finished the meal and please serve the dessert. The green tea is nicely brewed, but the best is still the vegan soup. The handicapped toilet is on maintenance, and most of the tools are stored in the lady’s room; a waiter came into the lady’s room without knocking, and I was deeply disturbed. All the all, if you are just talking about the food and people who stand at the counters, they are high quality, trained and well cooked. But the rest of the staff seems not experienced. It’s a good try.

Michelin Guide Restaurant in Taipei’s Nangang District We felt really lucky to visit this Michelin Guide–listed restaurant while in Taipei on a business trip with locals. Our local colleagues organised a huge spread of dishes for us — I’m not sure if it was a set menu, but we were served an impressive variety of food. Personally, I found it a little harder to judge as some dishes weren’t quite to my usual taste, but the ones I did enjoy were lovely. The service was fast and efficient, though English was limited, which led to a small mix-up over vegetarian options — not the staff’s fault, just a language barrier. The restaurant itself had a calm, refined atmosphere, and overall, it was a great experience. While I’m not sure it was the best meal we had in Taipei, it was still a memorable opportunity to try a Michelin-recommended local spot.

I finally had the opportunity to enjoy my favorite bamboo-smoked chicken in Taiwan. The chicken was incredibly tender and bursting with flavor. Another standout was the pan-fried pig liver, which was so delicious that I couldn't resist having more. Achieving the perfect doneness was essential to preserve the juiciness of the liver. On the other hand, the claypot-cooked oyster with tofu was a bit lacking in umami flavor and tasted somewhat bland. The stewed white cabbage was excellent but could have used a touch more salt. The steamed fish was decent but lacked seasoning, and a spicier sauce could have elevated it to perfection. We wrapped up the meal with a traditional and authentic serving of fried vermicelli, or bee hoon, which was incredibly satisfying. The key to this dish was the perfect flavor and springiness of the vermicelli. It was a delightful lunch with my business associates, finally indulging in properly cooked Taiwanese cuisine!

Nice place with good vegetarian option. Good food quality and taste. There is a game (if you are in a group)-buy Red bean ice cream (the one pyramid shape in the pictures I uploaded).Everyone should take the ice cream in their bowl, the person who makes it fall, will have to pay for the ice cream next time... kinda funny, but nice :) I hope you enjoy your meal here.

It maintains its original quality. The dishes were salty. Not sure how. This restaurant serves mainly to business lunch. Not sure how it survives without the dinner guests.

Chi Chia Chuang, located on Changchun Road in Taipei, is a long-standing restaurant known for its traditional regional chicken dishes. Established in 1974, this eatery has two branches near MRT Zhongshan Station and boasts a retro 1970s style that appeals to both locals and tourists. The menu features a variety of chicken-based dishes such as three-color chicken and crispy chicken roll, along with unique offerings like pineapple bitter melon soup.
Delicious local food. The rice is amazing and everyone should order it. If you dare not to see the bones, please try drunken chicken. I like the black-bone chicken a lot. The quality of chicken is super elastic. After-meal dessert is pudding, handmade and quite tasty 😋.

We told the maitre d we didn't have a reservation and he was quite rude, saying "no reservation no table" then flat out ignored us. Another waitress saw what was happening and kindly gave us a table. We ordered mapo tofu, chicken roll, cuttlefish, three taste chicken, sesame oil chicken casserole etc. My fav were the mapo tofu and cuttlefish. Least fav was the casserole. A good eat overall and would definitely come again.

Decent Taiwanese food ( we guess), enjoyed most with delicious tofu and flavorful braised pork. We were also treated to a complimentary dessert, which was a nice surprise. Overall, a very satisfying dining experience in Taipei—definitely worth the price. (Small size is more than enough for two)

This place deserves a higher than 4.2 rating. Super well made local cuisine. Ok, yes, it is on the pricier side but you get good quality with it and the restaurant is in a tourist trap area. My favorite is of course the chicken broth rice with Drunken Chicken legs. What a combo. All other dishes are well made and delicious. The location is tourist center but the restaurant is clean the service is fast and it does help when you speak Chinese.

Last meal on a Taipei trip and went here specially for the 3 cup chicken. Not disappointed and one of the best 3 cup chickens I have had. Sauce was reduced a lot so very thick and flavorful. Need to have this with rice and some vegetables The pudding was a great way to cleanse the palate after that. Restaurant a bit out of the way but would definitely go back next time in Taipei.

The underground food court at Shilin night market is a great place to find local favorites. There are all sorts of stalls, from Taiwanese street snacks like hot dogs and waffles to more traditional Taiwanese fare like wonton soup and braised pork belly.
good and convenient place to try various local food in one spot! clean restrooms as well with access to elevator.

Underground B1 air conditioned food court like what you can get at malls. Very bustling still, but lacks the lively atmosphere of night markets.
Calvin C — Google review
This is the big night market in Taipei. If you are looking for some food stall in particular, zoom into it or you will end up walking in circle. There are two popular Hot-Star fried chicken stalls in this market. The one along Jihe road is easier to find. The basement food court offers a huge varieties of choices. Sitting is available as long as you order some food from the stall, you may bring some items from other stalls but it is best to ask before sitting. The market offer the usual stuffs and food so explore and enjoy.
Julian W — Google review
Enjoyed delicious local favorites—authentic braised pork rice, hearty meatball soup, and the famous mango shaved ice—all in a spotless food court with comfy seating and great aircon. Perfect spot for a tasty, relaxing meal!
H S — Google review
The underground market is just part of the whole Shilin experience. Honestly the stalls there are pretty much selling the same things. In their heydays there were plenty of tourists and it’s always packed but now they are struggling for visitors and most people actually rather eat at the unique stalls at the outdoors market instead. The must try dish would be oyster omelette where you get egg and some gooey starch thing together with fresh oysters cooked in a pancake looking thing, and drizzled with an orange sauce.
Crystal K — Google review
Shop for rice or noodles and plenty of street food. Must play the Fishing the shrimp games. It's fun for both kids and adults. Cost TWD100 for 7 fishing sticks for many tries if you are good.. Try to catch as many shrimps as possible. Prawn that caught are BBQ for you. Trust me it's not easy! Lol

Relatively big food court. Food stalls mostly sell similar things. Tips: at one of the entrances to this food court, there are lockers (mostly small one with a few big one). So if you have shopping from else where that you dont want to carry, theres a place to store them. Just remember to collect them.

"純發魯肉飯" is a beloved Taiwanese dish that features sweet and savory soy-braised pork belly served over steamed rice. It's a staple comfort food with many variations, such as poured over noodles or vegetables, or used to make braised eggs or tofu. While numerous places serve this dish, some stand out for their exceptional quality.
The braised pork rice was so delicious! It was not too sweet and also not too salty. The flavor was well balanced and the pork melted literally on the tongue. Besides the braised pork, the bamboo shoot soup was so flavorful and also delicious. Reminded me of the Vietnamese bamboo shoot soup regarding taste. It’s not the same but nearly similar. The staff there were also quite friendly. Must visit for great braised pork rice!

Cash only. The luo ba ban is very delicious, and clam chicken soup is good as well. Good place for Taiwanese local food. Clean and delicious.
Justin W — Google review
Enjoyed a delicious bowl of spare rib soup with bamboo shoot slices along with a bowl of braised pork rice. The boneless spare ribs had a nice amount of tendon and fat and literally melt in your mouth. The bamboo shoots were very tender and complimented the pork and soup extremely well. The soup was so tasty and wholesome and most importantly perfectly seasoned. The braised pork rice was another wonderful compliment to the meal. It was super tender and tasty and having a spoonful of soup after eating the rice was a delight. My wife really enjoyed the chicken soup with clams and a bowl of chicken broth rice. We will definitely be returning for more of this comforting food which is so inexpensive.

Great little shop offering a modern take on classic Taiwanese classics. They have around 12? seats inside, but most customers who came by were getting their food to-go. The braised pork rice was cooked to perfection, the pork rib & bamboo shoot soup was delightful, and they gave you a looot of tofu when you order it as a side (4 pieces for $20? more places should do this). The decor is great too! They should sell merch haha

I was immediately drawn to this restaurant's captivating branding whenever I passed by. Those symbols caught my attention, prompting me to give it a try. I opted for a bowl of flavorful braised pork over rice and a delectable chicken soup with chili peppers. Both dishes exceeded my expectations in terms of taste, and I wholeheartedly recommend them to fellow diners. One aspect that particularly impressed me was the harmonious blend of traditional Taiwanese cuisine with modern design elements. It created a unique and delightful dining experience. It's worth noting that the restaurant's size is relatively small, which means you may encounter a queue during peak hours.

Fried Chicken Master is a unique gem in the bustling food scene of Taiwan, standing out as a non-chain establishment that specializes in halal fried chicken. While you may encounter some wait times due to limited staff, the friendly service makes up for it.
It tastes way better than the ones in Indonesia. The chicken is so delicious and the taste reaches the inside of the chicken. It’s also worth the price since the chicken cut is pretty big.

The chicken was too oily to eat. KFC is far better option than this. The only plus point is that it is halal. The chicken was also not crispy. It was just too soft and we just couldn’t finish it. If they can make sure that it doesn’t get too oily, then it can be a better place to eat fried chicken.
