I almost never write a bad review and am generally very accepting, but I'm sorry to say my experience here was absolutely terrible.
Rude service, waiters who didn't know the menu, the online "english" menu was 80% japanese, food took ages to arrive (over 45 mins for two dishes), chicken yakitori was undercooked (still bleeding in places) and the salad was very average.
We had planned to order more after the first two dishes, but as they took so long and the quality was poor, we couldn't get out of there fast enough.
Firstly, the Japanese speaking man at the front didn't do much to help us order. Dropped at our seats and walked off. Repeated calls back to ask about the menu, finally using Google translate, but found he would shrug at us off.
Eventually, he got an English speaking waiter. Unfortunately, she barely knew what was on the menu. She had to flick through the menu to answer our questions, and even then would say "no we don't have that" but then we would point it out on the menu (using Google lens) to her surprise.
Ordered the mixed chicken yakitori and a salad to start with. Took over 45 mins to arrive, at which time we were hungry and a little grumpy. Food quality was pretty average and my wife barely ate any of it. Particularly the chicken.
Lastly, as we checked the bill, it appears for two dishes and a 45 min wait, we were charged about Y3500, which included a Y1100 seating charge. At this point, I was very irritated by the whole experience and to be charged an extra fee to eat here, with such a poor experience, was as hard to stomach as the food.
As it was my birthday, we decided to forget the whole experience, and did a "re-do" birthday dinner the following night in Asakusa, Tokyo, which was amazing.
Overall, would NOT recommend this place to any foreign traveller's.
