Concerts & Shows
Historic cinema hosts a series of film festivals as well as new & classic movies plus documentaries.

They’re always screening old movies, so if you want to watch the Matrix, Godfather, etc. this is the place to check out. You’ll looove the interiors. They also have a bar until late night. Make sure you check them out well, because they’re somewhere in the left corner of the lobby.
Super comfortable seats. Super friendly staff. Affordable drinks & snacks, and a truly great movie experience! My son & I caught a pretty full Sunday matinee of Michael Mann’s HEAT, and it looked and sounded even better than when I first saw it in 1995. A truly great experience for film lovers.
We really enjoy the movies this place shows. They show documentaries and movies that are not shown anywhere else, that I know of and for a great rate. Keep an eye out for their themes like there is a black and white theme where they’ll show all black and white movies, during pride month they’ll show pride, movies, etc. I feel like the theater makes me a better person because of what they show, it’s different like me. You can only get refills on large drinks and large popcorn, not a bad thing just a reminder. They do offer military discounts here too
AFI is one of the reasons I settled in Silver Spring. This independent movie theater is a gem. Their series are crafted with passion and expertise. I love their special events, especially during the international film festivals. I have become a regular here and will always be back!
One of the only places around to see something in 70mm. Tickets are affordable (non-profit, so no tax) and popcorn is superb. They have some nice beers, too, and cocktails are generally 12 bucks. They play new stuff, but expect a focus on classics and lesser-know, but noteworthy, films. The folks who do the programming choose well and known their stuff.
This is a great place to see new and classic movies. The seats aren't the recliner seats of modern theaters, but the.aeatsatch the classic feel of the movies, and are definitely not as narrow as the movie theater seats of the 90's and before. They program around a director or a theme and that is great in my opinion. If you're a movie buff it's great to see movies in the original format and upscaled movies even if you have a huge TV. Seeing a movie in a theater on a big screen with others is a different experience. The only negative is the popcorn isn't as good as it could be which is a downer but that's about the only negative.
I went here this week to watch Frankenstein (2025) on your biggest screen. It's a beautiful theater with an excellent concession stand and a bar. However, the projection quality was pretty bad, it was obvious when it was time to change reels and there were jumps in the film that were several seconds long making the movie watching experience a little weird.
A beautiful old-fashioned cinema renovated just like new, comfortable seats and excellent screen view. They show nice movies. Was there for the Latin American Film Festival, to watch the Uruguayan movie The Employer and The Employee. Excellent experience. Totality recommended visiting! 👌

Great park for an evening walk. There are lots of interesting features to see here, and it's also good for kids. This place is huge! Plant lovers, this is a must-see; there's a botanical garden as well as a lake to the side of the park. There are also slides for kids, and you can bring your pet. It gets pretty busy, so expect lots of people here, especially during summertime.
We went to the park on Easter Sunday. We had a barbecue with friends. It was great! The place is clean and safe. There are restrooms. The women's restroom was clean in the morning, but not in the afternoon. The playgrounds are great for kids. There are picnic tables and barbecues. There is a beautiful area with a lake and tulips. I was delighted to visit the park. I recommend it for family and friends, or just for a walk and admiring nature.
It a beautiful National Park with tones of Japanese flowers and trees as well as other American flowers and trees. It is a big park that people can go jogging. It also has a few ponds with plenty of Red Ear Turtles, Geese and different types of birds. There is a section just for fragrance flowers.
I grew up coming to Wheaton Regional Park and now I have the pleasure of bringing my daughter here to enjoy. It has been a long time since I had visited, but last week I came twice. The train is better than I remember. We took a ride for $4 dollars. The carousel was also $4 albeit a tad too short in length. The playground area is absolutely amazing. They have a ton of new toys and areas to play. My daughter loved the big blue hill, slides, swings, and dinosaur. Bathrooms were clean and there were ample places to throw away rubbish. Additionally, I found parking easy and plentiful. This is a wonderful little park.
It is beautiful and extremely well taken care of. Each visit is a new experience. Very pleasant and helpful staff.
It’s been years since we visited this park. Having our 4 yo granddaughter with us seemed like the best time to take advantage of what it offered. So so glad we came. Spacious playground properly maintained equipments and safety fences. Many swings for the older kids and younger ones; Different length slides, monkey bars (if that’s still what they’re called) with challenging obstacles and balancing equipments; mountain climbing 101 lol. Then to top it off, a short walk away to the carousel (covered so it’s a nice respite from the sun’s heat)$4 per child; a long train ride (pay per person of $4 each). And there was a Kona Ice truck parked by the parking lot. Great timing for us! Absolutely loved the experience and planning to bring the whole family for a picnic here next time.
1st time in the park . This is an amazing and huge park! There’s many playground areas , gazebos , trails and a carousel.
such a cute little park for a stroll or a picnic! lots of geese around, so plenty of goose poop, so bring a blanket to sit on :) lovely weather these days, so here’s your chance to get outside and enjoy the spring air!

Are you scared about our libraries shutting down? If so, let’s try to do little things to help our libraries like 1) writing reviews, 2) checking out books, 3) getting online materials like ebooks, audiobooks, and magazines (because how easy is that!), and of course 4) showing up any time our libraries need more community support. I am making a concerted effort to visit libraries more and utilize their services and I appreciate our library systems so much! Now on to the review, yeah? 🤣 I absolutely love the convenience of the Silver Spring library. Located in the midst of downtown Silver Spring, the location is super convenient, and there are currently plans of having a new purple line stop right near this location. I mean, wow! Talk about a library with so much public transportation potential. Downtown Silver Spring is also a gorgeous location and always a treat to visit. Checking out this library is a wonderful opportunity to patronize our library services and help other library branches in the MCPL system! I also saw several flyers and resources for homelessness support inside the library and I appreciate that so much for the fine city of Silver Spring because homeless people all deserve our help and support! 👏🏼 All in all, libraries provide such a wonderful service to the community and they deserve to be funded and utilized as much as possible. Please try your best to patronize them! Together, we can keep our libraries safe! 📚
The place is lovely, but the third level can be loud. All of the furnisher is dirty, along with the rooms. You can rent out rooms that are somewhat soundproof. They have mediocre selections for books and I wish they had more graphic novels. Some of the staff can be unwelcoming and rude, but there are some good members of staff! All in all, it's not to shabby.
I had really good customer service with help of some of the staff who were very helpful & courteous with everything I needed too know about using a Kiosk due too the new equipment I have never used before at that Location when I attended not too mention they have sum really good novelties for excellent reading no matter what Level you are interested in....
We come to this library once because it is a well kept and clean library. Their children's floor has many books, and there is even a mini playground. The staff are ultra helpful. During Covid, we would reserve 100 books at a time, and the staff were always kind. We haven't had any bad experiences so far!
Great space, especially since it's new. Lots for kids to do but it's a little smaller than Wheaton Regional library. Parking can be a little difficult
Good environment to get work done, many learning resources, and the staff is so helpful!
The place is clean and quite. The staff are very friendly and supportive. Very fast wifi .

Just had my wedding here this weekend and everything went great with the venue! They're super responsive and flexible, and the rates are great for such a big space in the DC area. Attached some photos of the space by our wonderful wedding photographer Daniela Zapata.
It's a beautiful building with great people taking care of it; we're blessed to have met Mr Eric Rasch and Mr Jacob Newman who manage this facility. The right place to choose for your special event! Augusto David Moreno. Eduardo Shelton.
Serving as music venue, event place, art gallery and Craft Bazaar. Well organized, with plenty of space and good security. The photos are from the World Craft Market event - kudos for the organizer to bring crafters with unique styles (like quince sweets or leathercraft from Buryatia). The only downside is that unless you're subscribe for local events Twitter you would not notice events.
Clean and new facility. Came here for the COVID vaccine. The process was extremely fast and painless. The nurse was especially nice and the needle stick was painless and not noticeable, one of the best shots I've ever received! You will need to wait 15 minutes sitting down after the vaccine, allergic people seem to need to wait 30 minutes. Total time was about 30 minutes, could be 45 if allergic. You can schedule the 2nd shot while sitting down with a given qr code. Parking in the garage is free with validation
A fair was organized by indigenous people to sell their fresh farm products. Amazing!
Excellent facility. We hold our annual 50+Expo there whenever we can as it's perfect for such an event. There's a huge atrium, a large (but somewhat dark) exhibit hall, and nice break-out rooms, one of which can be divided. The location is great, near Metro and with a parking garage across the street (free on weekends). The loading dock is a bit tight, however, so that tends to get backed up when exhibitors arrive. I've also been to the facility for dinners, parties and conferences. It's very well used, but kept in great shape.
I loved the Jazz Fest. It was really good especially with Arturo. The Thurs. night concerts were good and you have Josh Christinia and Sour Cracker back next year. They were really good. It's great that there's the jazz fest every year and also the blues fest even though it's at the fountain but there should also be a Caribbean fest. I'm sure a lot of people would go to it.
I love the atmosphere of Silver Spring Town Center. The live entertainment of music and dancing is wonderful. It is very safe. The parking is free after 6 pm. There is so much to do and see. Quite a lively place with bars, restaurants, nightclubs, and free outdoor entertainment.

It is an outdated, not maintained small museum. It touts interactive things but nothing works. The computers are either off or stuck. Don't waste your time here. My grandson at 12 is knowledgeable about weather especially tornadoes. He could teach here. NOAA- he could be a part of you future. We know budgets are right and manpower short. It would be better to close this instead of frustrating people.

A very multicultural community. You can have masses in English, Spanish and French. The priests there are a blessing and really approachable. Faith formation there is incredible, emphasizing family catechism which makes parents be a part of the learning process along with their kids. Although we do not go as often because we live further away, every chance we get we head there! So much can be said about this parish and we invite you to come see for yourself.
St. Camillus Catholic Church in Silver Spring, MD is a vibrant and truly inclusive place of worship that embraces the rich tapestry of cultures. Its multicultural parish, offering services in French, English, Spanish, and Bangladeshi languages, reflects a beautiful unity in diversity. The church's commitment to fostering a sense of belonging for all its members is commendable, creating an environment where people from various backgrounds can come together to celebrate their faith. Attending a service at St. Camillus is an enriching experience, as the blend of languages adds a unique and meaningful dimension to the worship. The congregation's warmth and genuine acceptance create a welcoming atmosphere, making newcomers feel instantly at home. This diverse community not only provides spiritual guidance but also offers a space for cultural exchange and learning, making it an invaluable asset to Silver Spring. The efforts of St. Camillus Catholic Church in embracing multiculturalism and providing spiritual services in multiple languages reflect a true dedication to unity and understanding, making it a wonderful example of a church that truly lives the values it preaches.
1 star. Extremely strict and sexist. The teachers embarrasses you in front of the class. Unnecessary homework. Super pretty structure but the students are horrible. It’s very stressful to only have 1 day of break. I had to skip the most important and life dedicated field trip, MY LAST FIELD TRIP, to attend the church graduation. If I had missed it I had to repeat another year. That’s when I started growing a grudge against this church. I believe in god and the afterlife but I feel like this church had made me feel like we’re just learning about what we should do to get to heaven and we dedicate my whole life to “worshipping” god. I was hoping we were going to learn about respecting others decisions, spending time together(without FORCING), and supposedly be happy, I felt the complete opposite and had to go to therapy afterwards.
Great place to gather and praise God. Also great community to find support.
Everytime I go I leave happy, filled wuth joy and with a stronger faith. I love the 10.30 International mass. We worship in different languages, the music is superb and the sermons are so uplifting.
An incredible parish with a very social justice-focused mission. Services in English, French, Spanish, and Bangla. Lovely food pantry program as well as ESL classes and other efforts. Favorite part is the small park next to the church.
Lovely, and lively Catholic Church on a hill. The Services are all scheduled in English, Spanish, and French throughout the day on Sundays conducted by Excellent bands and choirs, even some of the Priests can sing
Absolutely wonderful parish. Place we call home. Very grateful to be a member of this community, with its challenges and graces combined. If you are searching for meaning in your life, this is the place. Challenges you to try to do more to put your faith into practice.
