They have much fewer exhibits than I expected and the number of animals was minimal. The touch tank is substantial with knowledgeable staff. Passages of the Deep was impressive, walking through the tunnel and being surrounded by fish, sharks and other creatures of the ocean. The have a lot of sculptures that are made from ocean trash which brings much needed awareness. The gift shop was completely off putting. Everything was WAY over priced. Many items were just generic that I could get anywhere. I my expectations also might have been higher after experiencing NYC, San Diego, Seattle & Vancouver, and unfortunately this couldn't hold candle to any of those. Several parents also complained about stroller accessibility. The paths are small gravel, most of it NOT hard packed. So it is nearly impossible to push a wheelchair through. The restrooms labeled handicap also do not allow a wheelchair to get in, much less into a stall. I'm pretty disappointed for such a modern facility and one such as this. I would have still rated higher but im pretty disappointed the person who sold us our tickets didn't warn us. Also there is no warning that I saw online. These days, it's pretty safe to assume a public facility like this would be handicap accessible. It just plain is not. It left a bad taste in my mouth that the gift shop staff just sat there watching us struggle to open the door against the wind and push the wheelchair out. There was nobody in line to pay. A little thoughtfulness would have gone a long way. It's sort of chaps your hide when they have a kid in a wheelchair as part of their display and they do that. Throughout the park, several staff apologized and explained part of the two year plan is to pave the paths. Again...we would have appreciated knowing that before purchasing tickets. Only other negative comment is I wish they had staff more spread throughout the aquarium. Not just to educate but also to help control the badly parented children who shriek nonstop, bang on the glass and stomp on the floor glass. It actually ruined the experience completely. Screaming kids is one thing but paying to be stuck in a glass tunnel with them squealing at the top of their lungs nonstop is entirely another. I get that kids are a part of the targeted customer group but they shouldn't be allowed to wreck the experience for adults. It wasnxt just a few, excited outbursts, which is to be expected. It was all-out screaming nonstop from a handful of kids. That really needs to be managed by staff if the parents won't. It isn't acceptable. They shouldn't be allowed to wreck it for other paying customers like that. Other than that, the place is absolutely gorgeous and the staff is knowledgeable and eager to share their knowledge.

The slide looks super cool, but it was still boarded up and not open for use. That was a huge disappointment for us. The trail has numbers in different sections to tell you what is in the area A bench is near each number. You will need a brochure for details on each number. You will notice the lush vegetation and thick forest as you cross a footbridge into the old growth forest. The trail becomes very uneven with tree roots to step over and some hills to climb. At low tide there are a lot of different tidepool areas you can explore depending on how far you want to walk. There are some almost straight out from the base of the trail, if that walk down has you exhausted.

Gallery represents quite a few artists. Paintings from oil to watercolors and can purchase originals to copies. Clay works and jewelry galore. Was impressed by the variety of subject matter and displays. I was able to buy an original with artist's signature at a very reasonable price. Even though I did purchase some copies the price's were not that expensive for the originals. When first enter there are 2 good sized rooms and the right side(facing the ocean)is where the majority of the paintings are. The variety was overwhelming as to subject matter and price points were very reasonable so I believe that something original is within most peoples budget. The idea of being able to afford a signed original from a local artist with local subject matter is just wonderful. My original signed painting is of a blue heron which is one of my favorite birds and am in the process of choosing a frame that will be able to show case this beautiful bird. Parking can be tight as gallery is next to ocean and the parking area is somewhat adequate but always busy. Admission is free and you will not be disappointed. I only got to see the right side of the gallery so am looking forward to visiting the left side.

It is close to the beach, walking distance to Nye Beach shops and restaurant. The park is very clean and nice. The manager gets a 1 star rating. My Dad lived there for 10 years and when he died, his estate went into probate so I wasn’t able to immediately remove his RV until I got court approval. The manager immediately unplugged his utilities before talking to us so when and we got there everything was turned off. She probably did this to save a few dollars on utility costs, but it was dark when we had a friend go there to lock up the place the day he died. It just seems greedy and inconsiderate to unplug the utilities the day of being notified of his death- all to save a few dollars. We worked with her and continued to pay rent and utilities for several months while we worked through the probate processes and got court permission to sell his rv and vehicles. They only take checks and no electronic payment, and she didn’t send invoices for utility fees until after the end of the month so there is a very small window to get the check to her on time. Because we were waiting for the utility cost from her to tack on to the rent costs, and had to mail in a check, we were a few days late once (I believe the check still made it there by the 10th or 15th of the month) and she tacked on a late fee. This woman was very greedy, insensitive, and difficult to work with during a hard time. I feel bad for anyone who has to deal with her. The park itself is great and I believe this management is fairly new.
