The food is richly flavoured, with a good textural variety exceeding expectations. The obviously intentional choice of components is also excellent - usage of a crispy base layer (e.g. Toast or panko crumbs) to mop up sauces without becoming a soggy mess, sauces themselves seem to be home made (the hollandaise has that iconic 'layered' texture from not being overmixed) and good usage of supporting flavours/textures to improve edibility and cut through the richness (I note chives and basil are used for this). I just love this place. It's one of the few places where as a coeliac I can order a tea & a scone in complete confidence. The team here are just amazing at checking if you are a coeliac to ensure the food is prepared correctly. I can't fault them and I've eaten at this place for several years. Everything we had was extremely fresh and the flavors were absolutely amazing. We found a seat immediately and by the by the server took our order. The food came out pretty quick given how busy they were. We got the fresh squeezed orange juice the Himalayan coffee and the Turkish eggs. So if you like a sweet coffee they serve the Himalayan with ice cream so I was all in. Although we'd already had breakfast at the hotel, we decided to stop in for a light snack. We ordered the banoffee pie, Thai pumpkin soup, hot chocolate and matcha latte. It’s a relatively small café tucked among the shops on Beach Street but once inside, you are greeted by amazing staff and a welcoming smile. I’m not a coffee drinker but my partner said it was the best coffee he had while we were in Queenstown. It was our go to each morning and the perfect way to start the day. My usual chai latte order was also very good. The café has a selection of cakes and sandwiches available with my favourite being the ham and cheese croissant (yeah, I know….I’m easily pleased 😉 ). The selection isn’t huge but it’s enough to get you off and running for the day. All the cabinet food is made onsite, it all looks amazing, and the service provided by both the very friendly and welcoming young lady (who has now served me three days in a row because I now have a cheese scone dependency) and the lady who I believe is the owner, is second to none. I had the berry bowl and it was great and satisfying for a quick cheap bite. Olga’s bus did not arrive so she was a little late opening the shop even though I did an online order.
