An impressive 2 floor brewery/restaurant. Our server was named Jesus and he was without a doubt the best server I've EVER had at a brewery and or restaurant. The beer was good (i tried 6) however my wife didnt like her first beer she ordered and Jesus replaced it right away no questions asked. No pics of the food but we had the elk burger, crab melts, and the caprase panini, all delicious. Jesus was on the ball the entire hour and was just as impressive as the food and atmosphere. Will definitely be back next time im anywhere close to Estes Park!

It's a 2 story brewery with free tastings of their standard beers and their gift shop on the bottom floor. Upstairs is the restaurant and bar that serves their seasonal beers. On my stop, they had: porter, stout, red, rasberry wheat, blueberry wheat, lager, gold, an ale, and some others. I think the beers were all okay and better than your major brands. The food looked okay but like what I expect at a ski lodge. The service was fine but it did not feel like this was a place to sit and talk about their beers and what they are doing next. We have a much larger group coming into town next month, where we will be staying at an Airbnb a mile away, and we feel confident this won’t disappoint for the 12 of us. For our shared entree, we ordered The Carnivore, which included elk striploin, filet mignon, cheddar game sausage, and broccolini. It looked so incredible that we started eating before I could even get a photo, so no photo of that amazing meal, but it was beautifully plated and absolutely delicious. We ate every bite. We added a side of mac and cheese, which was also full of flavor. I believe our waitress’s name was Nina (from Argentina). She was so sweet and attentive, even during the busy hours of a Saturday night on a holiday weekend! Highly recommend Bird & Jim (and Nina!) because everything we ordered and the service was amazing. Also, considering how BUSY the restaurant was, I was very thankfully the hostess was able to seat us 30-minutes before our reservation, since we arrived a tad too early AND that Nina was so attentive while all tables were full of other patrons. We waited over an hour for our food, and before we even got it the waitress came and apologized for the wait and said “I did some deep deep investigation in the kitchen and your food should be out shortly, and because it’s been awhile we are going to give you a huge discount” and then asked us if she wanted us to pack it to go, like why even ask that? We specifically sat down to dine in, it’s like she was trying to push us out! But also Mind you there were several folks that came in 20-30 minutes after us that got there food within 10-15 minutes. While we sat and waited no one checked in on us, asked us if we needed anything else you know the normal hospitality a waitress has at a restaurant. Then when the food finally came out packaged there was no silverware so I had to ask, and when we got to our hotel, the burger was raw when I specifically told the lady NO PINK medium well, my burger came with absolutely no condiments (I asked for ranch for my fries not knowing there was wasn’t ketchup or any other condiments and did put some on the burger on my own) fries were raw and cold along with the rest of our food, my husband’s food was awful it came with ripped up sausages between two buns with no bbq sauce as it was supposed to be a sausage bbq sandwich. The menu stated fries and baked beans, and it came with coleslaw and beans we got 50% off but should’ve been free, I will never recommend this place, nor return if I could give zero stars I would! Worst place ever, oh and my husband and I were the only Hispanic people in that place and we definitely felt unwelcome!

Tables were plentiful and this location outdoors (on their open air patio) is Covid-friendly, kid-friendly and dog-friendly. Also, I’d say stroller, wheelchair, walker, handicap accessible for sure. They were very accommodating and were able to move our tour to an earlier time slot. They do have a great whiskey bar, a chocolate store, and a fantastic gift shop. To the staff's credit, Vegas moved us with no issue into a much better room with no hassle. There is no AC , a known issue they openly tell you about. However, the heat didnt work either and it was in the low 30's in the morning. We were offered a space heater. Water pressue was also poor. The place is old and I get that, but you can't have it both ways. Four star hotels have heat and decent water pressure. Overall, this place is worth a visit, have drinks and dinner and check the place out. If you love the ghost tourism stuff, this is going to be your jam. For my wife and I, this was not the experience we had hoped for, at this price, for an anniversary trip. I would look elsewhere in Estes Park for a luxury experience.

The staff was super friendly and helpful. The area is well kept and the cabins are spread out enough and each has its own patio with outdoor furniture and grill. The amenities for the kitchen was wonderful having all the utensils and cookware available. We enjoyed grilling and enjoying a meal on the beautiful deck. It’s location is just on the outside edge of Estes park and getting to it using main roads made it quicker getting to and from places by avoiding in town stop lights etc. the beds were comfortable and if you have a significant other that snores and it’s just you and your significant other staying you can kick them out to the other king bedroom 😉😂 the management at the front desk was wonderful. We drove straight through the night from our home town just south of Lincoln Nebraska for a friends wedding and hadn’t had a place to stay booked before leaving because we were unsure if we would be traveling to the wedding after a death in the family and just about everywhere was booked for the dates we needed. We left a message after hours and the a wonderful woman named Kay I believe called us the moment the office opened and to our relief was able to book us in and check us in two hours earlier than expected which was a great relief since we were exhausted from traveling! The other cabins are close in proximity BUT the way they situated them your deck views still give you a stunning view that the cabins actually make a nice addition to the view bc they’re well kept and beautifully built! You don’t even mind the neighbors b/c it’s so quiet and parking is ample! If we make the trip back to Estes Park I would be more than happy to stay again! Also the management was so informative about giving you the best information on things to do and informed us that you need time reservations to enter Rocky Mountain national park and to do so online and which passes were the best to get. Had she not told us that we wouldn’t have been able to enter the park for our friends wedding! And when there was anything wrong with our cabin they were more than helpful! The light bulb in our refrigerator was burnt out and she got us a new one as soon as she could! We left notes about other things like a burnt out sconce light on the ceiling (there are several of the sconce lights so one out of 4 being burnt out wasn’t an issue for us at all but we just wanted to leave as much info we could for them so they could fix it for the next guest ❤️) just overall a wonderful management staff, beautiful, clean, comfortable place to stay! Be sure to sign the guest books in each cabin! And check out the binder in the cabins with useful tidbits about everything from wildlife, park rules, cabin rules, check out process etc. It even gave info on cooking tips since cooking is different at higher elevations! Just overall WONDERFUL! Thank you for such a great stay experience!
