Why come here:
1. Tam-awan Village is just nearby Stone Kingdom. Before or after visiting the Stone Kingdom which is often crowded, you can enjoy a more realistic mountain dwellers village.
2. This tourist spot showcases different types of village huts, beliefs, traditions and rituals of the mountain people. There is also a mini museum which displays paintings, figures and artifacts.
3. You can also enter one of the huts, but you have to observe the rules. A group of dancers wearing traditional Igorot clothing performs traditional dances for the tourists.
The entrance fee is 100 pesos as of dec 2024 for adults it might change today. You have to climb and trek uphill to explore the village. The village is a forest itself and the steps are a bit slippery so be careful trodding uphill or downhill. You can enjoy the nature vibe while learning about the history and culture of the Igorots.

Could have been a better experience if there were attendants ushering guest coming in. The place needs to be maintained more. There were unnecessary clutter in the stops. Hoping they could get more funds to fix the place up. It's a small park and it would have been nice to understand what it's all about but no one was there to explain.
Visitors come there from quite a distance hoping to get an idea of the past local history and I was dismayed that I wasn't able to make my daughter learn anything from the visit.
Hoping that others have a better experience. Wear mosquito repellant please.

Explored the area with young adults. I would have soaked in more at the gazebo below the museum if we had time. You can easily finish the place in a breeze. I was really looking forward to my visit to Camp John Hay, but unfortunately, it did not live up to the hype. The facilities were poorly maintained, and I noticed a lot of litter around the area, which detracted from the natural beauty. If you're ever in Baguio and love a good walk amidst some serious greenery, you absolutely have to spend some time at Camp John Hay. It's just such a breath of fresh air, literally!
What I loved most was just being surrounded by all the trees and lush landscapes. There are so many spots where you can just take it all in, whether you're looking for a peaceful stroll or a more energetic walk. The air feels so much cleaner up there, and it's just incredibly calming to be away from the city hustle. We spent hours just wandering around, discovering different paths and enjoying the quiet. If you're someone who appreciates nature and getting your steps in, Camp John Hay is definitely your kind of place.
My only little thought for improvement, especially since so many tourists like us love to stroll, is that some of the sidewalks could really use being a bit wider. There were times when it felt a little cramped, especially if there were a few groups walking at once. Given how popular walking and enjoying the outdoors is here, making more room for pedestrians would make the experience even better for everyone.

One of the best places in Baguio - a must visit. There's a lot to see, plus the place is relaxing. The area open to public is enough to see how incredible the place is! But if you wish to explore more, there's an area with an entrance fee (optional). One downside, but hasn't affected my rating, is the location. It's best to be traveled by own car. I don't think there's public transportation available in the area.
Another thing (beneficial for those traveling with children), a place that not everyone might have seen, is a playground situated near a parking space. It's open for the public. Will surely entertain children for free.

Its my first time seeing an authentic mummified body of a human. More of that later. We are lucky that the special exhibit from June to July happens to be Kidlat Tahimik's works featured internationally. We enjoyed the museum but we hoped that there is somebody giving a tour. The museum can get a little loud from the staff chatting happily with each other.
The museum has four floors. There is no lift. i noticed a senior citizen guest who had to take a break going up to the third floor.
The museum is packed with the history of Baguio City and the Cordilleran provinces. They have an actual mummy in this museum which you cannot take a photo of. This is a non-profit organization and not government-owned but for a P100 entrance fee it is a must see place when you're here in Baguio. There is limited parking in front of the museum but it is free.
if there's one thing I hope they improve is the state of their gift shop. The board members and Baguio have a wealth of artists but the state of their gift shop is just disappointing. I hope they could offer at least post-cards from the old Baguio time.

I went here alone on my solo trip to philippines, I already planned to go to this place since months but unfortunately it was raining everyday when I was in Baguio.
I was happy bcs they were opened and not too crowded maybe considering the weather were not good.
But I had a great time, almost no waiting line sometimes or only queue to one or two people.
I bought ride all you can pass so I can go to my favorite rides more than one.
Too bad some rides are limited to one time only even tho you have ride all you can pass.

We just went here by surprise. We randomly check place in Baguio and stopped here due to a catchy structure. The exterior and interior is similar to the Crazy House in Vietnam. The concept was unique specially have different shops inside. Exploring each corner gives a different angle. Very instagrammable place. We are excited to enter here and, yes, it was magical. It was amazing. Every store has its own identity and gimik.
It feels contemporary. Different stores, diffeent offering.
You really need to around to fully experience it. No need to worry when you get hungry and thirsty since there are store who offers food and drinks.

We recently visited Mirador Eco Park, and it was such a nice and refreshing experience. The view from the top is amazing — you get this wide overlooking scenery that makes you appreciate the beauty of nature even more. Prior going to this, ive read from some reviews that theres nothing igorot in this but i can say that there had been hard work, sacrifices and an established artistry in order to feature such a showcase like this. The place has been massive and you can imagine how many days and nights the workers have done this tirelessly. Tour guests are asked to arrive 30 minutes before the tour. The tour starts on time and lasts for about an hour excluding picture taking and buying of souvenirs.
Photographs are allowed only at the front door and presidential hall. The tour is about the history and presidency of the 17 Philippine presidents. Some people may have differing opinions about particular presidents but the purpose of the tour is about celebrating and highlights of each president.
At the end of the tour, you have an opportunity to send a letter to the incimbent president and buy more souvenirs. Our tour guide, Message, was kind enough to take pictures of guests in front of the Philippine flag and seal.

The Mansion House opened to the public as a museum of presidential history in September 2024. Today my husband and I took a tour of it led by Leisley Frias, who was knowledgeable, professional, and engaging.
There is a separate exhibit for each former president of the Philippines, complete with photos and artifacts. The exhibits are bright, fresh, and visually appealing.
The building is beautifully maintained. I particularly enjoyed the flooring throughout. Lovely watercolor paintings of every First Lady adorn a hallway.
There is, of course, a large exhibit dedicated to the current office holder, President Bongbong Marcos. Visitors are invited to write a letter to President Marcos; our tour guide indicated that all letters are delivered to him.
Photos and videos are not permitted in most areas of the museum, as is standard practice in many museums we’ve visited in various countries. It would be nice to be able to purchase a book about the museum that includes photos, as a memento; I hope such a book is planned for the future.

Finally got to the dine on this top rated restaurant in Baguio after 3 attempts
On my last 3 attempt, twice was because there was a long queu in the waiting list already, the other attempt was we were already seated but took 40-50mins. And our order is still not served so we walk away.
So when i got back in Baguio we tried to go super early. There was no one outside waiting and so many empty seats inside, but we were still told to wait - a clear sign this restaurant really lacks manpower. Hope we can call out the owner for this.
Recommend going here super early in the morning like 7am.
Food - the reviews were very true, everything we ordered tastes good and healthy. Even the coffee was superb with classic local sweetener and not your usual commercialized white sugar. Your order also comes with fresh fruits
Price - little bit pricey on the side but definitely worth it.
Ambiance - very homey and laidback.
Staff - courteus and helpful

It’s been a while since I last visited Baguio, and I was pleasantly surprised to find out that Café by the Ruins now has a branch right in the city center. The location is convenient, the space is roomy, and it gives off a laid-back, casual dining vibe.
As expected, the crowd picks up during peak hours, so lining up for a table is pretty common. During my visit, I tried their suman with chocolate (which I really enjoyed!) and their champorado, which for me could use a bit more flavor. Service was on the slower side, but hopefully that improves over time.

Finally able to dine here. We were planning to eat initally at Goodtaste at Otek but the queue is very long. Checked nearby areas and surprised that cafe by the ruins is just a walking distance away. We were 11th on the waiting list but able to get a table for 2 after 10mins wait. The area has lots of artworks! Most are for sale also. The lights are functional sculpture/art pieces also. We ordered the mountain and river salad - solo. The size is actually good enough as an appetizer for 2. 1st time to try a salad with watercress and grilled shiitake mushroom- super sulit!
We had the vegetarian ravioli also. Not sure if it's a mainstay on the menu but it's also quite good.
And the last one is the rice meal with bamboo shoots, ham, chicken. Tried to check the menu online but can't find it. It seems they update their menu every few months. Another reason to visit this place again.

It really is an underrated destination in Baguio. U can definitely commune with nature and get peace from this haven. Most of the path are paved but it's better to ensure that u have comfy footwear with good grip esp. when it's raining. There are around 14 stations, 2 of which are man made mini-caves.

It's a really cool and unexpected gem. If you like being surrounded by nature but still stau close to the city, then this is the place for you. There are 3 trails (blue,red and yellow). Did the yellow trail and it was easy.. less than 4km. instagramable. Good for walking, jogging, trailing and running. It may be crowded but you can always advance along the way.
Routes are easy to navigate and best to enjoy nature along the way. Pine trees give the best vibes of the place and it cools it off. Take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but traces and create nothing but memories.

Trail is mostly easy, the difficulty just increased during August due to recent rain making the trail muddy and slippery.

Wooden bridge near the start of the trail is currently rundown.
Be careful when going up and down the slopes during rainy season.
Staff near the paintball entrance let us pass through, but the trail is closed as of August 2024 according to the guards at the end near Panagbenga Park. Not sure when the trail will be officially open.

We tried the Eco Trail with our kids, aged 5, 12, and 16, but we didn't manage to finish the whole route. 😂 We started near the entrance of Paintball Republic and soon encountered a rickety wooden and metal bridge, narrow, slippery trails, and a steep descent. While some paths were relatively wide, we decided to turn back when we reached the slippery descent towards the river.
The scenery was beautiful and serene, with huge pine trees and flowers in various colors. Surprisingly, there wasn't much bird sound to be heard.
The trail is more suitable for older kids, and recommend to wear long pants and suitable shoes since the plants grow close to the path, and the path can be quite slippery.

My mom, our Yaya, and I took a Baguio vacation from June 12 to June 16, 2025, and we chose to ride with JoyBus (Genesis Transport) again. This is my second time using their service, and it remains a reliable and value-for-money option—especially if you’re avoiding Baguio’s well-known traffic congestion and limited parking.
Instead of driving, I booked roundtrip JoyBus tickets, and overall, it was a smooth, convenient ride.

• Seats – 3/5
Not very spacious for taller passengers (I’m 5’7”), and the front rows (Seats 1-3) don’t allow much use of the leg rest. Still, the seats are padded and decent enough for the trip. Our seat numbers are 3, 6 and 9 in both trips
• Bus Pad – 1/5
Basic charging port only (USB-A), not compatible with newer iPhones (USB-C). The onboard movie system needs a headset with an audio jack, and the location tracker wasn’t working.
• WiFi – 2/5
It connects, but the speed is limited. Fine for messaging or light browsing, but not for streaming or work.
• Onboard CR – 3/5
Small but clean. Has running water, a functioning flush, a mirror, and even a bidet—which is a big plus.
💼 Crew Service – 5/5
Special thanks to the crew of Bus Unit 818761, who handled both our departure (June 12, 5:00 AM) and return (June 16, 2:30 PM) trips. Driver Mr. Chua and bus stewardess Ashley were both courteous, professional, and consistently helpful. Their service made the trip much more pleasant.
🛫 Baguio Terminal – Improved!
The JoyBus terminal in Baguio has been fully renovated. It now has more seating areas for waiting passengers and well-maintained restrooms—a big upgrade from what it used to be. It’s clean, organized, and comfortable for arrivals and departures.
💰 Final Verdict
For its price, convenience, and service, JoyBus is still my top choice for Baguio trips. While the amenities could use an upgrade (especially in tech compatibility), the overall experience is dependable. Skip the drive, relax, and let JoyBus get you there on time.

I usually take genesis when I used to live in baguio few years ago. This time while visiting with my SO, I took a genesis bus back to my hometown in Sison which is just 2 hours away. I told the conductor a specific place I wanted to be dropped off at, which is called "ice plant" and he understood. When I notice we were nearing the destination, we have already gotten up from our seats and proceeded to the front (we were seated near the way back). However I noticed the bus still maintaining its speed and I realize we weren't stopping any time soon, so I rushed to the front but by the time I got to the front of the bus we have already passed the Ice plant. I've told the driver to stop and he asked "where to po" and thats when the conductor on the side (on his phone) mentions "oo nga ice plant pala" like a little whoopsie moment for him. I get that mistakes like that can happen but what was very inconvenient for me and my SO was that it was raining hard out, we also had our luggage with us and we had to walk back to our destination which was 160 m away in order to flag a tricycle down. Not once did the conductor apologize or seem anything like apologetic about the inconvenience. He just dropped us off then left. I've had good experiences when riding genesis but this time was very disappointing. What more if the next time was an elderly person? My lola before used to take buses like genesis, so I wouldn't want this to happen to anyone like her or anyone else. It might just be that conductor alone, or maybe there are others like that too, so please do better.

I found the place via ads just in time during my short stay in Baguio. It's a small shop just along the Legarda Road. They offered me a complimentary taste first, and I loved it. It is a hidden spot to chill.
The road going here is a bit narrow but parking space is available for those who visit with their cars.
Some of the animals are still being constructed/ painted but most parts of the place are available to see . It is very cute and you can step inside some of the animals mouths and pretend to be eaten.

I love how the place was maximized as it's not the usual wide ecopark size I expected. Rocks were made into creative stone sculptures you will surely enjoy especially if you're a fan and young at heart. There's a hanging bridge, a wall to climb, a cave to enter and more.
Place is instagramable for me.
They do have a snack house but with very limited options (instant coffee, soda,water, juice, biscuits and instant noodles). Hope they add more.

I had the opportunity to visit the place in 2021 and found it more enjoyable compared to the present. While there have been many improvements, the untrimmed plants vines create a congested atmosphere and may obstruct your path, especially when it rains and your clothes may get wet. But the ticket booth lady was probably distracted by the lady in the ad joining booth because they have been talking while filling out tickets.

Had a family hike during the weekend, it was Saturday. It was actually a good choice to avoid crowded parks and malls on a busy weekend. It was 5 of us 2 adults and 3 kids, youngest is 6 years old. It took us a total of 2 hours walk including short rests and photo shoots with the scenery of the nature. It was a great experience for everyone to witness the hidden beauty of the trail within camp John Hay extending to nearby barangay's. It was safe for kids, just be cautious of slippery pathway due to pine needles and few dusty pathways. During the visit there was no fee collected. It is a requirement to log in at the guard house before entering the area. Entrance by the way is located at the pony boys station as they say.
