Access through ferry from poole harbour unless you've a boat and im guessing there's considerations even if you do. Ferry was 15 return per person and these go every 30 minutes and stop at 5 pm with a break at lunchtime. The island is reasonably flat with paths around. The north of the island is more concerned with bird watching. The south of th island is more to do with the scout movement. There is a tea and snack stand near the scout shop. The national trust owns most of the island and there a further cost of around £10 to go in. Very beautiful and tranquil and worth checking out. There is also a small bus you can take around the island.

Caught the ferry, on the Quay opposite Tesco Express, at £14.50 each. There were no concessions for the disabled or those over 65's, there was a long que, but they ushered us onto another ferry, doing the river cruises, and they dropped us of, which was great. We visited on a weekday. We loved all the exhibits and there has been definitely alot of money spent to improve the lighting and the exhibit displays. There is level access through the front door and plenty of space in the reception/gift shop area with very helpful staff on the till. There is a map by the door to the galleries showing what is on each level of the museum and that includes the toilets, of which there were a couple of fully wheelchair accessible toilets, although no changing places toilet. The major barrier if you are a wheelchair user like I am or have problems opening heavy doors is the complete lack of automatic opening doors to the galleries. There were two sets of fire doors to the Shipwreck gallery on level 0 and then one set of heavy fire doors to the level one gallery and each of the other galleries on the floors above that. There was one very helpful staff member in the Shipwreck gallery but no members of staff in the other galleries to help open the doors which is a huge letdown considering the amount of money spent. Thankfully I had my husband with me to open doors for me but without that it would have been impossible to visit any of the galleries above the ground floor as I couldn't guarantee access to the galleries. When we visited it wasn't that busy especially above the ground floor so there were not many visitors around who could have helped me either. Even if for some reason due to fire safety they could only have heavy non automatic fire doors, then surely a staff member on each floor to open doors, to answer any queries or in the event of a medical emergency or a fire be there to help, would have been really helpful. If you are in one of the galleries above the ground floor and have a medical emergency or there is a fire then there would be no member of staff to help you right away. The lift to all the floors is a decent size and that was good as the previous lift before the renovation work began was tiny. Sorry if this review sounds negative as I don't mean it too, it is just how I view the museum from the point of view of a wheelchair user and the concerns that I have.

The natural beauty of the park is lovely, and seeing ducks, geese, and swans up close was a real highlight. It’s a peaceful place with lots of potential for a relaxing day out. Saw Paul Weller here on 4/4/24 and it was utterly magic. Great size to be big enough for a good crowd but yet still managing to be intimate enough that no matter where you are you have a good view. Interestingly I have never seen so many pubs on a seafront before. From the outside the pub as an interesting green tile finish, which I'm sure in the summer looks amazing. The approach is a little narrow and about 3 miles of narrow. That being said, there are many "pass points" along the route. I was greeted by two ladies. The first super friendly and very keen and eager to explain all about the location which I really enjoyed, one a bit standoffish but nice nonetheless. The area is for me absolutely gorgeous, I love being out in nature so it suited me down to the ground. Didn't really see a great deal of wildlife sadly or have a chance to get near that much due to the volume of people who clearly like the place. I would advise a visit however be warned an early morning visit will suit those interested in seeing wildlife, as when the day gets on more and more people turn up and the tranquility kinda disappears (not moaning just my opinion for what its worth). Breathtaking views and the weather was a little bit gorgeous for a Feb day. Cafe is near the entrance however there were long queues for both the service and the toilets, and nearly £12 for a sarnie and a coffee i think might be a bit much but staff were polite and courteous if a little lacklustre in getting orders out. They unfortunately had to close the gift shop to get people served as the queue was stopping people getting in and out though I should state i believe these lovely people are volunteers so credit to them either way. I would recommend a visit, though take a small rucksack as the temperature varied too much when in the shade to being out in the sun- obvious it may seem however it's nice to have somewhere to put spare clothes and carry some snacks and a drink (schoolboy error on my behalf). Deffo a place to go get lost and see where you end up!!

I asked a member of staff for napkins to clean the blood up, They weren't bothered and just pointed me to napkin stand. (So hope at some point this area gets cleaned) My partner also mentioned to another member about the blood on my daughters face and didn't show any compassion. So we delayed the food coming out so she could be cleaned up. 4: Lola the lemur the mascot was a disappointment and didn't want to engage with children. 5: Value for money sadly not. The employee's there are young and i understand there not always going to having the best days so they need the management to incentive them and provide more support when there busy . The staff are public facing so every once in a while they just need to fake a smile to make it look like there happy to be there to give customers a nice time. Looking after children is hard work and we go there for some fun and break. So in two words DON'T GO, go elsewhere and maybe the owners will get the message.

The play frame is massive but there are also climbing walls and a dress up/imagination area. There are 2 smaller areas for younger children and babies. Sessions during peak times are 2 1/2 hours and off peak they don't have a time limit. Food from the cafe is good but a little pricey. They have hot and cold options for both food and drink and some sweet treats available. Parties are brilliant here. The only reason this doesn't have 5 stars is that the coat for adults is just unreasonable - £4.10 just to come in and observe the kids running around. You do have the pre book tickets via the website you can not just turn up.

Seemed expensive compared to Sheffield walls but maybe that is normal for the south! No grades made it hard to quickly find problems which were a good level for us to warm up on- this seems like a big oversight as warming up is key for a good session and to prevent injury. Very few females at the wall compared to other walls I visit which generally have a 50:50 split these days- maybe the climbing would feel more accessible to beginner females if easier problems were easier to locate!!! The holds and setting was good and it is a big spacious wall although seemed to lack a warm up area. Some rule about not topless climbing which was annoying as it was really hot in there and I forgot my vest. My partner got injured warming up on something too hard so all in all not the best visit.

The check in lady was great, friendly and efficient and with a great sense of humour. We got coffees from Harry's cafe. The crossing out was smooth enough but now my bike makes a whirring noise like it has knobbly tyres on the front wheel. I can only assume it was over tightened and the front wheel bearings have been impacted by this. I've tried wobbling the wheel to check for play but nothing obvious. It's due for a service if I can book it in so will see what they say. I will then get in touch with Btittany Ferries. I know I should have said something at the time but believed he knew what he was doing and couldn't have pre empted the outcome at the time.

The morning of the ride there should of been 2 other people but when I met Peter he told me it’s only going to be me .. initially my heart sunk … I do have my own E-bike and do go out most weekends but was a little nervous Peter may not get his best workout with me tagging along .. 😏 I was pleasantly surprised Peter reassured me of all the health and safety and made sure the bike was set up for me .. We were soon off on our ride with Peter always checking in with me that the pace was suitable. I had the best day ever , Peter was the best company and a great guide for the day .. The walk itself is beautiful, with picturesque views and peaceful surroundings that make for a very pleasant stroll. The tea rooms have been done very well — clean, charming, and a great spot to relax. There are also plenty of places to sit and enjoy a picnic, which is a real plus. The site is suitable for all ages, and children in particular will love the various opportunities to explore along the way. This is such an incredible place and well worth the visit! We followed the fairy and gnome trail round and vered off onto some of the other little paths too, and there's so much to explore. The whole area is well maintained and kept and we couldn't fault our experience. The rope bridge was a firm favourite! We also had coffee in the tea rooms (the cakes looked incredible too!) and also ice cream which was good, and even had doggy ice cream. Would highly recommend as a half day/full day out for all the family!
