The course spans across the whole grounds, including stunning views from the side of the hill in front of the house, and the lake. We happened to be in the area (from Anglesey) and we popped in with our toddler. The play centre is by far the best play centre we have been to. Fairly priced. It had the main soft play bit for the older kids but it also had a small section for the babies. So many toys to play with! So many role play set ups too which I’ve never seen before in a soft play centre (role play shop/jail etc). Very impressed! I would highly recommend this centre to anyone. Lovely to sit and bird watch in peace and quiet, occasionally there were dog walkers or wheelchair users going by with a friendly "hello" but otherwise it was tranquil. As we were getting to the end of our walk we had to pass the play areas where kids were running off steam and parents were either chilling or chasing their little one ;^D we got 3 coffees to go at the busy cafe and it reasonably cost £4. The only niggle with the park is that there needs to be recycle bins available, there wasn't any waste bins that I saw apart from one outside the cafe but there were 3 poop bins for good dog owners that we passed which was good to see.

It’s a campsite we always enjoy and will almost definitely be returning to! The facilities are excellent, the toilets and showers are always clean and well-maintained, there’s a laundrette, a lovely swimming pool, and an incredible play park that kept our kids entertained for hours. There are also plenty of shops on site, two restaurants (the food at The Old Barn was amazing!), and even an ice cream shop that quickly became a daily stop for us. Plassey is a great site if you just want to relax and stay on-site, but it also makes a great base for exploring the area. During our stay, we visited Chester Zoo, the Ice Cream Farm, and even went fruit picking, all within easy reach. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, which really added to the positive experience. A couple of things to note if you’re booking: if you don’t have a dog, I’d avoid Spring Meadow pitch 39. It’s right next to the gate to the dog field, so you’ll get quite a bit of foot traffic early in the morning and late at night. We also had people cutting through our pitch to access the gate, which wasn’t ideal. I suggested to staff that a small fence and designated path might help with this, and they were open to the idea. Over the weekend, there was a large group of families nearby and their children were using the dog field as a playground, which meant it was quite noisy at times and again involved a lot of running across pitches. If you prefer a quieter spot (especially with young kids who go to bed early), I’d recommend choosing a pitch away from that area on weekends. One last thing – all pitches are hard standing, which is great for avoiding mud, but make sure you bring proper rock pegs. We also brought foam mats for inside the tent which helped a lot. Unfortunately, when we packed up, we discovered a leftover peg from a previous camper had been buried in the pitch and had torn a hole in our tent and footprint. While the wardens were very apologetic and came out to check the pitch, it was disappointing that no goodwill gesture (like a partial refund or discount for our next trip) was offered, especially since they usually check for leftover pegs between bookings, although we do understand that these things can happen and it’s likely covered in the site’s T&Cs. Despite that, this didn’t ruin our trip. We still had a fantastic time and would 100% recommend Plassey to families looking for a clean, well-equipped, and fun site. It’s somewhere the whole family genuinely enjoys, and we’re already thinking about our next visit!

First time on the site. Great location in the Welsh countryside. Large touring pitches which helps when you’re new to towing and manoeuvring your caravan. Dog Friendly with a large designated dog exercise field. Great facilities for the kids with a superb play area and separate badminton court and pool Tables. A nice sized swimming pool which was well maintained and very clean. As was the Toilet and shower blocks too. The food in the coffee shop on site was good as was the pizza we had in the bar and restaurant in the evening. Staff were all very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. No hesitation in giving this place 5 stars across the board. I’d definitely recommend it for families.

The place is very well kept and maintained. All the pitches had a good amount of grass area very close by. The staff were great. Two very minor things to pick at. Not enough toilet blocks and the gravel area where we put our awning, well the gravel wasn’t deep enough to take a big pegs as they were hitting the concrete, so not sure about windy days. Other than that great all round. There is a 2-3 mile walk around the surrounding area starting and finishing on site, good bar, pitch and put, 9 hole golf and the best bit is for the kids. A pool, 2 table tennis tables, badminton court, 3 pool tables and a great park. Our child gave it a 10/10. It is a short journey from the motorway and well Connected to local area. Park and ride into chester is 20 minutes away. We would happily return.

Been wanting to come here for quite a while but the cost in high season and bank holidays is too expensive, so we came out of season.... so glad we did, can now see what you get for your money. There are only 2 toilets and 3 showers, both in separate buildings for the campers on the main field to use. I would imagine in high season when the site is full it would be a problem. Her parents were friendly with the present owners now’s parents. Sadly …reception lady was not in the slightest bit interested in this bit of info as she rushed me off and out. It really put a damper on our visit as we were only there for one night. My husband and I run a caravan and campsite here on our working farm on Anglesey … we only have 50 pitches so not the huge business like Plasseys but we are sure to always to give our guests a friendly welcome and smile, it costs nothing at all. Now the positives…. The girl that showed us to our pitch was charming and smiley. We had a lovely walk passed the wsjeep And through the woods. The little shops are fabulous and all the staff super friendly and helpful.

We were lucky enough to have the first ever party at this new AMAZING venue. Despite having only been open for 2 days, with a mixture of new and existing staff from their other site, you would never have known! Attention to detail in the different room settings, a fantastic menu for children with allergies and intolerances, brilliant soft play area, very secure and safety conscious were all 5⭐️ The staff were friendly, polite, and it is clear they all have the same drive and determination a place like this needs, and above all, they put a massive smile on my daughters and her friends faces. They do a cracking cappuchino and the food we had was lovely and reasonable priced. The party package is fantastic with use of the party room upstairs, a lovely food selection, jelly and ice cream, princess characters to run the party and make sure everything went to plan. The party bags that are provided are brilliant too. The only negative I have, is that I expect we will need to spend many more Saturdays here, as it is awesome. Banana Bens - THANK YOU!!!! He’s my youngest and we’ve had a lot of other play barn parties in the past and this was by far the best. The play area is in a separate building from the pub. However, you can still order food and drinks which is brought to you. The woman who was working was great; she was very friendly and helpful. Sometimes you go into them, and the staff are there solely for a job when they are useful and friendly, it makes you want to go back if you're ever in the area.

It is situated in a lovely area and on the way to it to pass a beautiful little quaint village that is Bangor-On-Dee. The area is clean and tidy and has loads of different paths that you can walk on.
