Smokehouses are slowly becoming a trend in Malta, but this one really means it. Went in without a booking and we were very lucky since the restaurant is extremely small and only a table for 2 was left. The mains come with a side included, and we had the mac & cheese and sauerkraut. The mac & cheese isn't your typical one, since they do not actually serve you macaroni. What distinguishes it is the flavour of the smoked cheese that the fusilli pasta are drenched in. Can't imagine how much better they would be if they were oven baked and actual macaroni were used. The sauerkraut was as good as it gets as well. My girlfriend wanted the smoked cheese listed as an extra on the menu, and the owner told us that even though they usually serve it with their sandwiches, he gave us a small portion completely free of charge. This was extremely nice of him and the smoked cheddar cheese tasted amazing. I wanted to try out their apple strudel for dessert, but unfortunately they ran out. Will definitely have to go back to try it out along with something else from their vast menu. Prices are very reasonable and the place isn't pretentious at all.
