The Port St. Lucie Botanical Gardens is hands down one of the most peaceful and underrated spots in the city. I came here with my daughter after a quick errand day and we ended up staying way longer than planned. The walking paths are beautifully maintained, the variety of plants and flowers is stunning, and there’s this calming, tropical vibe that makes you feel like you’ve escaped without ever leaving town. It’s a perfect spot to relax, take photos, or just breathe for a while.
Before we came to the gardens, we stopped for lunch across the street at a place called Berry Forkin’ Good — and wow, it lives up to the name. We shared a smoothie bowl loaded with fresh fruit and granola, and tried one of their signature pink crepes (made from beetroot and totally gluten-free). The café has a super fun retro-Miami vibe, and the food was not only Instagram-worthy but genuinely delicious. Highly recommend if you’re looking for healthy food in Port St. Lucie that still brings the flavor.
We had originally just gone to City Hall to sort out a quick utility issue, but somehow the day turned into a full-on Port St. Lucie adventure — from city services to an amazing lunch to a walk through one of the city’s most beautiful spots. Truly grateful for everything this area has to offer.

Cool spot in St Lucie. There are narrow components of trails and some muddy sections. We went there and biked the trails. I would consider the park a little rustic and probably better to hike than bike. The bridges are a little old feel a little nostalgic as you're walking to the park with views of a couple of ponds.

Great trail with lots of historic things to see! We spent about an hour going to all sections of the trail. There was very little mud but it had not rained in a few days. A couple bridges with great views of the lakes. The canoe launch is not usable anymore due to overgrowth. there is a picnic table at the entrance and brochures with an interpretive tour and map. This park and trails have the potential to be absolutely amazing. However the board walks need to be extended as much of the middle half of the South trail is ankle deep in mud and water. While we navigated around the mud through the brush, its not appropriate for small children, disabled or elderly persons. This trail should be navigated with good tennis shoes or boots. The first and last sections are nice ground cover with grass, pine needles or sand. Most of the trail is shaded and comfortable in fall. The moist areas are mosquito heavy. We had our 2 dogs with us and took our time on this trail and it took just over an hour round trip. We saw lots of tracks, birds, snakes and turtles. There was evidence of pigs rooting as well. The boardwalks over the wetlands was beautiful.

Beautiful preserve. The trails are longer than most of the other nature walks around. They are also more interesting as the terrain isn't your normal Florida flat. Many trails to choose from too depending on how much time you want to spend. Some of the trails can be flooded out if it has rained recently but that's never prohibited me from having a good time.

Came here on Mother's day and did the perimeter trails. Enjoyed walking along the channel and the river. The channel had some shade but the river trail had more shade. There was a slight breeze. The interior was a bit warm but we saw some gopher tortoises feeding along the path. Total mileage was just under 4 miles. Easy trail. New Year's Day Hike in the Oxbow Preserve in the St. James area of Port St Lucie
The Oxbow Preserve is a 225-acre site along the North Fork of the St. Lucie River.
The preserve offers 3 ½ miles of hiking trails and is where young and old alike can discover the mysterious and hidden life of the forest and river. The trails are flat and easy to walk on. We saw an armadillo and gopher tortoises burrows, a few squirrels. There were probably lots of birds but we were there to walk.
The preserve offers a rare glimpse of “the real Florida” - in the canopy of the floodplain forest, the scrub and pine flatwoods and in the primordial swamps and wetlands.
The center offers guided hikes and educational programs for families, children and adults. Though it was closed the day we went, our purpose was hiking.

Hidden gem of tranquility in nature in Martin County.
Pay $3 per vehicle on the honor system on entry. Most times there are less than 2 other vehicles, if any. Seemingly endless hiking, biking, running or dog walking trails on leash.
Occasional annual burn of foliage closes the park and make it a bit more rooty. The wet season can make it muddy or flood some sections. This is all part of the experience of being in nature away from the city life.

While visiting family in the area, I wanted to do something fun with my youngest. This was a great pick. We enjoyed our sightings of turtles, birds and alligators during the boat cruise. We absolutely 💯 love our tour! The river is gorgeous 😍, and full of wildlife. It's an untouched habitat still in tact and wild and prospering. The hostess is completely darling and very knowledgeable about the area variety of species both in plant life and animals, especially birds! The boat was perfect to enjoy this wonderful time on the water. I highly recommend this trip. We went on the evening cruise at 6:30, were able to have dinner out before arriving, and went out to a dessert lounge afterward! A glorious day ✨️! We plan on returning and doing this cruise many more times!

This is one of several parks located along Veterans Memorial Pkwy in Port St. Lucie. This lovely 2.5 acre park was dedicated to veterans in April 23, 1995. It is laid out in the shape of a pentagon with 12 benches. Each of the five tips represent a different branch of the military recognized with a flag and emblems.
Memorials in the park go back to the Revolutionary War and include a Vietnam Veterans wall, World War II memorial, Korean memorial, and Purple Heart memorial. On September 25, 2016, the Gold Star Families Memorial Monument was dedicated honoring the family members of those who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces.
On April, 2024, the newest memorial in the park was dedicated to the 349 Florida servicemembers killed in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. It was created from 19,000 pounds of black granite from Chamarjnagar, India. The memorial was inspired by the National Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. and it was the the first memorial in Florida to honor the individual military personnel lost in these wars.

Very nice to see the memorial's. Very meaningful and appreciate dedications to our great military. It's a nice walk as well and kept clean. It's my understanding that in the future the 2 "boardwalks" will be connected so the botanical gardens will be reachable which is a great idea. There are bathrooms, picnic tables, grills as well as public boat launches. Apparently you need a permit to have alcohol there if you have a get together in the pavilion area. I definitely recommend a visit if your looking for a nice day out. Right next door there are also restaurants in which one is hurricanes which is good food and not too expensive. I didn't post pictures of the memorial because it's better if you see them in person.

This is a fun little stadium to watch a baseball game. It opened in 1988 but appears much newer than that.
I liked that there is a lot of standing room along the outfield with views of the field. Plenty of concessions and bars give many options with lower wait time. There is a grass area in right field called "the hill" where one can lay down on grass and watch the game (or fall asleep lol). There are plenty of bathrooms.
The bad: Parking is $15. 22oz beer is ~$13 and mixed drinks are $19+ (without tip). Team store prices are absurd. Fitted hats were $55. They should have some more economical options along with the higher priced items so there is something for every fan. Right field concourse is not connected to left field concourse, so you have to walk all the way around home plate to get from one to the other.

I had a fun time at Clover Park my visit was on February 28th 2025 and we watched the Mets win 7-0 against the Washington Nationals. The employees and security were polite and respectful had no issues parking and entering the stadium. Traffic is heavy in St. Lucie West around the stadium so be prepared and patient to get in and out the area. This is a cashless stadium and only accepts Debt or Credit inside and outside for parking. There’s plenty of food areas inside though prices are fairly expensive so I recommend eating lunch elsewhere before going.

I love this place! It has a nice little nature walk in the back down a path. It leads to water always pretty for a picture. They also have a nice-size newer playground for the kids they love it🛝, also it is not very far from one of the many docks where you can fish, or soak in the sun! While searching for a walking trail in the area we landed this park. It’s a great place for many outdoor activities. Family friendly. There are picnic tables, playground area for the kiddos, boat launch and kayaks area but we didn’t get to use any of those services. It’s pretty chill and there are trails for a nice walk. Nobody else offers such attentive service. Our group of 6-8 come every Sunday (the only day off we allI have together). As loyal mug club member, I would have appreciated an email informing your members of these significant changes… This happy hour including Sunday was CRUCIAL to our decision to become mug club members and is what kept us coming in every Sunday. Absolutely unbelievable that they took that away from us without notice! If this doesn’t come back we can’t in good conscience renew our mug club memberships! Soo disappointing!! As a suggestion, consider offering the happy hour specials to mug club members only on Sundays. This is why so many of us can only make it here on Sundays. Personally, we work Mon-Sat and this is the one place we call home and choose to spend our money. I pray this is reconsidered and fixed soon because we can’t renew our mug club memberships with these changes.

Me and My wife visited this wonderful place from Brevard County Fl and we believe this is in our top 3 breweries if not number 1. Since our first visit we’ve driven down several more times to Port St. Lucie just for this place. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the beer choices are delicious. I spent a few hours exploring Savannas Preserve State Park. I hiked on 5 named trails and went as far as I could on each towards reaching the end unless water prevented me from continuing. The trails are well marked and clean. Very few people were around when I hiked on a Saturday morning. I heard, rather than saw, many birds. I did, however, watch a woodpecker at work from about 10 feet away. The Ranger at the park entrance was very helpful and knowledgeable about the conditions of the trails. The Education/Visitor’s Center was closed for renovations (and has been closed since 2021). With the Center closure, your restroom option is a porta-pottie. Savannas Preserve State Park entry fee is $3.

Nelson’s is one of those places you're just glad still exists. They’ve got a wide variety of potted plants, flowers, and fruits you won’t find at the big box stores. Their produce is always fresh, and they carry fruits and vegetables I never see at the grocery store.
The staff is friendly, the vibe is relaxed, and the local honey and jams are some of my favorites. A lot of what I get there I can’t find anywhere else.

Otherwise Tradition is a great place for walks and having a good time with family.

Two of the kids were pulled off the trampolines because their grip socks weren’t “Urban Air” branded—even though they were proper trampoline socks. We were forced to buy new ones mid-visit.
Ordered a family pizza meal with 12 BBQ wings and fries. Got 6 honey wings and half a fries. After waiting 25+ minutes, only more fries came—no wings. When I brought it up, Stephanie the manager decided to argue instead of making it right. My kid never got to eat the wings, and Stephanie could have fixed it all with a little decency and accountability. But she preferred to be self-righteous instead.
To top it off, both urinals in the men’s bathroom were out of order, and the mail toilet and floor was covered in urine and used tissue paper. Clearly, they don’t care about maintaining a clean or safe environment for children.
Disorganized, rude, and a total letdown for the money. Won’t be returning. Go to jump instead!

My kids love this place and never want to leave. We have a membership pass because we come often and it's definitely worth it. My husband has fun here as well! The only reason I deducted a star is because there almost always issues with one or more attraction. Also, the membership comes with a complimentary pizza slice, and very often they have run out of pizza and offer nothing else to make up for it. Had a great time. The Dye was challenging but fair. Wide open fairways and plenty of bunkers and waste areas. It’s hard to lose a ball. Played as a nonmember or guest on this day. We went to the bar to eat. And was told we had to leave as this was a member only area. We kindly left and ran into a manager. Excellent place to play a few rounds of golf. Great practice facilities and a very accommodating staff. We had the pleasure of playing 2 rounds here today. 1st, we played the Dye course. It was a very nice course and offered a great challenge, which I handled pretty well seeing I have never played this course before. Then we had a nice lunch on site. The lunch menu is not large but it is very delicious. I highly recommend the club sandwich. After lunch, we headed for the Ryder course, which is also a very nice course that is also beautiful and challenging. Again, I was playing well and had a very good round. 10/05/2022: We played the Wanamaker course again and it's still very beautiful even after the recent hurricane Ian. It looks like Ian didn't create too much trouble for the course. The greens are fine and run smooth although I would prefer the speed to be a little faster. The newly renovated range is absolutely awesome! The only course that we didn't try is the Ryder course and hope we can play it some time this year.
Circa Oct., 2021: It was our first time at the club and we played the Dye course. The conditions, the layouts, the scenery, etc. all deserve a great rating. Range is also a complimentary which is an added bonus. The Dye course is a semi-link style course which give you a combination of varieties like tree lines, long rough, marsh, water, deep bunkers, etc. With all these, the course is actually not that difficult as long as you strategically place your shots. Avoid get into the long roughs because you're unlikely to find your ball or get out of it. Anyway, it's a well-maintained and fun course. It's worth a 1.5 hr. drive since the course is quiet different from other S. FL courses.

Does it get any better than this? AM Tour Championship this weekend. Played the Dye course. Bring your A game, the greens are tough and a bit small. Great layout with room for error though, (not too much). Fantastic facility, with unlimited balls on the practice range. The clubhouse is beautiful inside and out. This botanical garden is a little jewel. The bonsai collection is amazing and a must see in Fort Pierce, FL. Beautifully planted and taken care of. There is a playground, a butterfly garden and many whimsical painted metal sculptures. The staff is friendly and welcoming and the gift shop is well curated with many affordable items. It had said they were closed on Sunday on Apple Maps, so my girl and I rushed to get there before they closed on Saturday. We got there shortly after 3, and the lady at the front warned us they were closing soon. We still went in and she told us she would let us in if we came back on Sunday since they were in fact open. She made sure to tell the lady working the next day about us, and when we came back, we were able to get back in! I am incredibly grateful to the both of them for their customer service and understanding. The bonsai collection is spectacular, most of them being older than me. Tom introduced himself to us and seemed like a very warm and friendly person. We wandered for at least 3 hours and then purchased some beautiful candle holders from the gift shop. Definitely worth the visit and I would love to come back again!

Driving off of the main road this park is much larger than you think. This park is absolutely beautiful! River side with docks and plenty of views. There are wonderful old growth oaks, tall palms and bottle brush trees leaning into the lake that is the center of this park. Several pavilions, park benches and picnic tables make this area a nice place to gather. I'm really pleased that there are clean public vault toilets, childrens playground, lots of larking and a boat ramp for public use. You can easily spot turtles, birds and other wildlife. There are packed shell areas for walking. The water was high in December and the grass was soft with water filled areas but there are other high areas to recreate. Overall the nicest park in the area.

We stopped at Lyngate Park with our kids on the way home from a long road trip, and it was exactly what we needed. The playground is one of the best we’ve seen in Florida—not just because of the equipment, but because it actually has full shade coverage with large tension-line shades overhead. It made such a difference, especially with how hot Florida can get.
The bathrooms were as clean as park bathrooms can be, and we even saw staff there actively cleaning and maintaining the facilities, which was great to see. It really feels like the park is well cared for.

Escape Room I've never seen that movie because the horror and fear genre doesn't appeal to me. Our family was invited to a place where they offer to live the experience of the movie but in a different way, inside a room you live the action and despair of finding the next code or key to decipher.
It is an opportunity to share as a family and make decisions together to get out of this adventure free.

I was frustrated to find that people had graffitied nasty things in addition to false hints/clues throughout the rooms on walls, doors and props with magic pens- visible only by black light which was necessary to use. I have done a lot of escape rooms over the years and I normally and very very impressed even by private owned companies and while the room was beautiful and the effects were great for the most part, I thought that the end of our experience seemed a bit rushed and not personal in the connection what so ever. We were very excited at the end with escaping with almost 10 mins left, and the customer service just wasn’t up to what I was normally used to. I understand things are busy and at times hectic with at escape rooms behind the scenes, I just hope next time we return we will have more of a 5 of 5 experience.

The cleanest and most well maintained park in the PSL West area. This park has it all. Pickle ball courts, baseball fields, basketball courts, children's playground, 3 dog parks and plenty of parking to include handicap area. It is well kept and has nice pavilions to enjoy picnics with the family. Plenty of clean bathrooms are provided. Looking to take a nice walk, it has a nice little path. Located off of Torino this hidden park is a great place to relax with family, pets or solo.

Besides the little nice seating area and the swings this park is terrible. It’s very old and run down and A LOT of unacceptable openings where children can easily fall from. The biggest slide I wouldn’t even let my child go down, it’s such a steep slope with no slide barriers and there’s wood at the very top like as if they had to fix something that broke. Everything is dirty and stained, it’s absolutely ridiculous how stained and dirty it is. This park definitely needs a renovation. There’s a big beautiful field next to this run down park. There was a kids soccer game taking place at the time of my visit. I believe there’s also a school right next door, if not a school then I don’t know what the building is but hopefully not a school with this being their playground.

It’s a great local dog park for those of us on this side of town toward SLW. Having to go all the way to lyngate can sometimes be a haul but now with this new dog park and (large dog park might I add) it’s given everyone a place to bring their fur kids without any traffic or worries of dirt side parking! The four residential housing lots that make up this park were purchased in 1979 by WWII veteran Carl Reddish (1915-2012). After a career as an air plane mechanics in Miami for 30 years, Carl retired to Port St. Lucie with his wife June and built their home here where Carl spent his days building his backyard plant nursery. The three live oaks in the park were planted by Carl in honor of his children and grandchildren.
In 2015 the Florida Department of Transportation purchased this land in order to create the Crosstown Parkway leaving a six acre open space at the Southeast corner of Crosstown Parkway and Floresta Drive.
In 2019 a park was proposed for the site by the Treasure Coast Submarine Veterans who wanted to create a new memorial and place it in their very own park to honor the sixty-five submarines that have been lost in the U.S. Navy's history and the more than 4,000 submariners killed. The park has a memorial to honor all U.S. Navy submarines and crews lost since 1915, including the names of 65 U.S. Navy submarines and the dates they were lost displayed on granite stones. The park also contains a WWII era Mark 14 training torpedo.
In addition to the memorial, the park has a parking lot, outdoor fitness equipment that uses your body weight, and a 1/3 mile paved walkway around the lake that people can use for exercise. If you are looking for a longer route can take the park path to where it connects to the route that takes you over the Crosstown Parkway. Whether you are here to attend one of the memorial events presented by the Treasure Coast Submarine Veterans or you are here to exercise, I think Carl Reddish would be pleased to know that people are making good use of the land he poured his heart and gardening skills into.

We really enjoyed walking the trails here and across the street at Paleo. Both sides had some slippery mud, so we were glad to be wearing our XtraTuf boots. We saw some birds, including a Snail Kite, but the number of butterflies was amazing (mid-September 2025). Had my camera and a 28-400 lens, so I could get close shots of some of the butterflies.

Green River Park is a gem of a fishing spot and a great place for a walk. I believe it's actually the main holding area for all the water for the canals in between the streets of the residential neighborhoods off Melaleuca, as there is an extremely large pump station here.
I had a little luck fishing from the bank, but the fishing was really good once I got out in the center with a kayak! Probably averaged about 8 largemouth bass per hour! There are also some gar, and a few non-native species like tilapia & cichlids.
