When I ordered, I asked that the frozen custards come out later, one chocolate and one strawberry, which happened to be the flavor of the day. We enjoyed our meals and when it came time to go back to the counter to get the frozen custards, that is where Culver's failed Customer Service 101. Here is what happened. I showed my receipt which showed two dishes of custard. The Culver's employee made them and brought them out, one vanilla and one strawberry. Again, I showed the receipt and asked that the vanilla one be changed to chocolate. She then took the vanilla one and threw it away. I told her we would have eaten the vanilla one if we knew it would only be thrown away. She said she had to throw it away. Huh? She then made the dish of chocolate custard for me and put it on the tray with the strawberry one and it was obvious they were two different sizes. The original vanilla one was the same size as the strawberry but now this new chocolate one was half the size. I explained that the strawberry one was for me and I could not go back to our table with two different sizes, where I'm getting the big one. The employee insisted they were the same size and offered to weigh them for me. How absurd! Was she going to bring the scale to the table to show us both??? They were not the same size either, as the pictures show. We will take this in stride and assume the employee got mad when I showed her the receipt the second time. Giving me the smaller one they she re-made was her little retaliation. Poor customer service any way you look at it and a laugh or two looking back at it now.

I should have known when the two people in front of me left without their food, and thats after about a 25 min wait in the drive through. I normally dont stop at this Mcdonalds, but was in the area and wanted to use a Monopoly reward for a free small fry, (No purchase necessary clearly labled on the award). After waiting about 25 mins to place my order, I drive up and notice the vehicles in front of me speeding off from the Pay window without getting their food. I pull up and she insist I owe her 2 dollars and some change. I explained I was using a promo for a free fry or cone and gave her the code again. She insist that its free if you purchase the other item. So if you buy the fry, its a free cone, or vice versa. I told her just forget it, and drove off myself. Clearly she was just improperly trained, or just didnt feel like working which is why the 2 cars before me also left without their food.

This site is located on the southwest corner on SW Tradition parkway and SW Village parkway intersection. These are both large roads and seemed fairly easy to get to and depart from. There are about 5 lanes with 2 pumps on each with 2 sides each (20 gas pumps total) for unleaded and diesel fuel on the east side. Main entrance to the store is on the east side facing the pumps although there is another exit/entrance on the west side. The store has a covered set of about 5 tables outside on the north side. The store has, as most of these locations do, a restaurant to make sandwiches and choices for food, drinks and other items for travelers. The location was clean, both inside and out, and the staff was pleasant. We tried a tuna sandwich which was very good. Gas was reasonably priced for the current high prices in the area. Overall, it seems like a good place to stop in the Tradition area for gas, a sandwich or a break. Fellow travelers, enjoy!

McDonald’s doesn’t charge for sauces when you order something and I find it odd I couldn’t have ranch for my loaded fries.
