Well, I personally dont love art museums but, my wife does and it is an activity that we do together.
As member of museums, my wife research about this museums and we planned to visit after lunch on a Friday.
They place is mid size, if you really like art probably you can spend up to 2 hours, they have different exhibitions and 2 floors.
There were some of the pictures that the contrast and deep details were just amazing.
Even if small, I do recommend visiting 100% this museum. Check for the free day, it is rhe third Sunday of the month but they aware to double check on the website.
Also i hear that in summer they open the garden and there's beer and music, I'll check to come back for this.

What a gem of an art museum. Because it isca smaller museum it might be easy to overlook the New Britain Museum of American Art but that would be a mistake. The variety of artists displayed was quite refreshing, and only a small sample is included here. I found the temporary exhibit by Joe Fig "Contemplating Vermeer" to be surprisingly creative in its attempt to capture people enjoying art. The Masterworks of Pulp Fiction were a fun throwback.

I showcased my photo fantasy series, the very heart of my artistic journey. These images—whimsical, emotional, and surreal—were the stepping stones that led me to where I am today. From those early explorations of light and imagination, my path unfolded toward the deeply personal world of wedding photography. Each album I now create carries echoes of that fantasy, that magic, that belief in storytelling through visuals.
I took a quiet moment to enjoy the ambiance and savor a delicious bite from Belvedere Café, whose flavors reminded me of home. The pierogi, potato pancaces, kielbasa and the coffee, the warmth—it all added to the sense of belonging.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by, shared stories, and connected with my work. Celebrating heritage through art is a gift, and I’m honored to be part of it.

Museum offers a lot of events and things to do. Very family friendly. However I was very disappointed with the party after dark Halloween party this year. First, the tickets are pricey at $45 pp, secondly, usually offer food at the event included in the price, however this year had to pay for a food truck. Chicken tenders and fries at $23 and then only one free drink and it was like Harding cattle. There was no organization, it was a mass of people hoarding around the table for drinks with no one there to keep things under control. Drinks were a min of $10. So a total of nearly $80 for one drink and entrance to the museum. Definitely not worth it. I have been going for numerous years and will not be going back again.

A stunningly well maintained park in central CT. They have work out stations, informational history plaques and lots of port-o-potty's along a path that loops around the fields of the park. There's a baseball mound, tennis & pickle ball courts, a playscape and lots of benches too. There's also a gorgeous rose garden at the top of the park with a war monument. Ample parking in many lots, with street parking also. It's pet friendly with dogi-pot stations around the walking path that loops the park too.

Saw this park after leaving the hospital so decided to explore. Wow-zers was I impressed with the rose garden area. The water fountain is surrounded by a trail with Rose's all around. The sunset views were spectacular. Overall the park was clean, family and pet friendly, and quiet. No crazy music or screaming. Just folks enjoying nature and taking pictures of everything around them.

This park used to be such a beautiful and peaceful place. Now, it’s been completely degraded by people fishing irresponsibly and leaving trash everywhere bottles floating in the water, garbage scattered on the ground. The lack of respect for the environment is truly disheartening. If the city doesn’t step in and start enforcing fines or stricter regulations, this park will be destroyed within a few years. Something needs to change before it’s too late.

This review is a part of my quest of visiting all CT breweries. I've been to Alvarium before and my experience was consistently good.
The brewery is located in a separate building and has a big parking lot. The place is huge - it has a big indoor space, a smaller indoor private space and two patios. The brewery is decorated with beehive items. The food options are basic, but there are always food trucks on site.
I've tried all Alvarium beers - either on beer festivals, or during my brewery visits. And every time the beers were awesome. There is some style selection available - IPAs, Stouts, a lager, sours, hard seltzers. They also serve beer flights of 4 or 5 so you can try everything. The beers are not rotated often - the majority of the taplist was the same as the year before, but I believe they have a separate line for their experimental beers. I've enjoyed everything I tried during my visit. My favorites in the taproom were Camp Cluster (Imperial Stout) and "Pouring for the neighbors: Wicked Basic" (Spiced pumpkin beer), both have immensely rich and satisfying taste. But I also remember their limited editions of Clusternana (Imperial porter) and BABF Exclusive (Imperial Stout) which were beyond awesome.
I do recommend this brewery to anyone who loves a good beer.

Stopped in here to rest after a long drive. The staff was awesome and welcomed us and our dogs in. We had a great time talking with them and they took great care of our whole group! The dogs loved the attention and the water and treats. If we were local to the area this would one hundred percent be our usual hang-out. The taproom is a cool spot to relax and had a lot of options for entertainment like board games, pinball, and TVs. And the beers were top-notch. If we are ever in the area again we will definitely be back. If you are in the area, you should stop in too!

Great beer and coffee! We went for coffee in the morning. Plenty of options, treats and room to sit. The peanut butter cold brew was some of the best I have ever had. They were also very sweet with my son. Staff were friendly and efficient. We also have sat in the taproom and again so much fun and the beer is tasty. We recently rented the B-Side room at Alvarium Brewery and it was such a great time! We celebrated John's (aka Grizz) retirement from Better Built Basements. The space accommodates a nice size party we had about 30-40 people. Taylor hosted the bar for us, she is amazing! Always happy! Taylor was very helpful with scheduling the party and set up. Cool brewery that is much bigger & busier than we expected, which is fantastic for them!! We weren't aware, until we walked in, that they allow dogs inside, as long as they behave (no barking etc). Would suck if you were allergic & just showed up like we did. They also had a bunch of board games you could play, which was fun.
They offer beer flights. There were a lot of sours on the menu if that's your thing. Had a sample of the Apple Cranberry Crumble Sour - was sour forward, but you could definitely taste the cranberry. Tasty, but couldn't see drinking a whole pint. Went with the Cremo Ale, which was, I would say, their mildest brew. It was not very memorable to the point I don't recall what it tasted like. My friend had the phresh, which is a NEIPA, which he liked enough to get a second. I wasn't crazy about the selections this time, but we will go back to try again.

Very cute quiet spot. Only $3/kid on a Sunday. $10 minimum for a card payment so we bought from the “gift shop” cute little Knick knacks. Two large rooms. The main room has several stations and many many things to do for children of all ages. I would say 2-8, but it’s best for 2-5 for an extended period of time. Great place for small children to play.
Pros:
+ perfect size. Small enough that you’re never having to run around and chase your kid- you can always see them
+ convenient bathrooms
+ lots of different areas to play in
+ lady at the front desk was nice
Cons:
- needs a facelift. Some items could probably be thrown out. Mayne some fresh paint? Some areas did not work
- needs a thorough cleaning. A lot of the toys felt greasy/like they needed a serious wipe-down with a Clorox wipe.
- there was no AC in the second room. Felt like there was zero air circulation. It was really hot; I heard another parent complain about it as well.
All-in-all we will definitely come back sometime- especially with it being included in the CT summer program AND our library provides a pass.

Nice place to take your toddlers, my almost 2 and 3 yr old boys enjoy it very much. Only took off one star because the lady who usually works at the front is pretty rude with my children, on several occasions. At first I let it be because everyone has off days but after a few incidents, I realize she continues the same attitude, as if children really annoy her. And I am always on top of my kids making sure they are doing the right things and following the rules. Anyway, that’s the only unfortunate part. Other than that, great spot for little ones.

Wow, this place is a real deal. My kid really enjoyed all the "exhibits". She didn't wanna leave! My only complaint is, we went on a really quiet Saturday and were the only people there, but the place was quite a mess. Kids don't enjoy playing aa much when everything is already chaos, and with no people there I personally think the place should be organized and ready for kids to come in and play. We visited on Friday, January 14th. My son was busy playing for about 2 hours and hated to leave! It was more of a playroom than a museum with exhibits. I also brought my 3 month old and there wasn’t much room for the stroller which was frustrating. The staff member that was at the counter was not very friendly. My son dropped his water and it only got on the floor but she seemed very annoyed. She also only spoke to us to tell me what my son couldn’t do but was happily chatting with the other moms there. I honestly didn’t feel welcome there at all. I spoke with Ms. Nicole about taking some classes at Hungerford so I’m excited to look into that! The parking was easy and convenient. They have a $10 minimum to use a card and I wasn’t prepared for that so I ended up having to buy a few books so we could be admitted which was fine.

The Hole In The Wall Theater is a great little place. It's an intimate setting (pardon the cliche) in the truest sense, we were about 8 feet from the performers. We saw "It's a Wonderful Life" the radio broadcast interpretation. Entertaining performance to say the least. You won't be disappointed.
As of this writing, the theater is struggling financially, so whatever you can do to help would be appreciated by more than just the cast and crew.

Having dinner there last night made my whole month!
As a first generation American with a German father and Austrian mother. This place made me reminisce on my childhood when my dad (RIP) took my mom and I to German restaurants, namely Rudy's in New Milford and Hopkins in lake waramog Connecticut.
This restaurant is so authentic You would think you are in Germany! From the theming, to the extremely elaborate German menu, the accordion player playing German music, The lederhosen the men are wearing and the dresses the women are wearing.
The owner and staff are so nice, everybody greeted me with a smile and a hello sir.
It took me 20 minutes to decide what I wanted to order as there was so many amazing choices that I had growing up.
The moment I sat down they brought a nice German salad and cheese. I ordered the potato pancakes andI decided on the Sauerbraten with spaetzle. Came with really nice carrots and amazing sauerkraut. One of the best I've ever had and that's saying a lot! Additionally I need to note that all the meals were under 30 bucks, today's day and age that's completely unheard of!
This place is an absolute gem! Sadly the German population in Connecticut has dwindled significantly since my childhood and there are almost no true German restaurants left in the state.
If you like German, European or just really great food, definitely check this place out. Can't wait to come for the Oktoberfest next month. The owner explained what they do and it's going to be like a true Octoberfest in Germany!

We ordered a 1-liter Spaten Oktoberfest listed at $17, but they also charged nearly $30 extra just for the “boot” glass — making one beer cost about $47. What a fun Oktoberfest experience!!! We were a group of six with two small children and they were very accommodating. We had a large roomy booth in the corner where the kids could see everything and really enjoyed the music and beer cheers! The appetizers were amazing we got the fried mozzarella, corn fritters, chicken wings and potato pancakes. In addition to the cabbage slaw and cottage cheese and crackers that are complimentary. We had more than enough for the adults plus plenty to fill up the kids. I ordered the German pot roast and it did not disappoint so juicy and tender. I also tasted the turkey dinner and schnitzel also both fabulous. We all were so full and just shared the delicious Black Forest cake. The server was very sweet and even brought out ice cream for the kids. Overall it was a fantastic night and a great place to bring kids and not stress out if they are a little rambunctious.

Capitol Lunch in New Britain perfects the art of keeping it simple. Fantastic food and fantastic service. Parking is easy on the street or in parking lot across the street. Once inside you step back in time to a luncheonette type of feel. Service is super friendly and everyone feels welcome. Hot dogs have a nice snap to them. The "famous" dog with mustard, onions and sauce is a great tasting combination. Fries and onion rings are cooked perfectly also. Definitely worth a visit to say you've been there ... and you'll go back again.

2 hot dogs, fries and a large drink for $9.99? Yes, please! I’ve never been here until recently but have heard about it for years. Let’s start with something I almost always talk about: I love my French fries to be crispy aka well done and 9/10 places either just ignore my request or their norm is just to undercook them for some reason, this place nailed it. The staff is super friendly and attentive. The hot dogs are Martin rosol’s which is the second best only to hummels and they were fantastic. Just so you know, “the sauce” is their chili. The burger (which is only cooked well done) is still a good, flavorful burger and their in-house made grape look aid is really good too. We've been going there for 50ish years, and my Dad introduced us to Avery's birch beer as a kid, and we fell in love. Three generations later, im taking my kids there regularly as Avery's is the only soda they enjoy.
We will miss the experience of shopping in the barn and the fantastic service, and we look forward to new adventures with the new owner (and flavors, i hope)!

I enjoyed visiting this theater immensely! My family and I were kindly greeted by a staff member as we arrived a handful of minutes after the production started due to traffic. We came from an hour away and they were incredibly kind to help us to our table inside the theater.
The outside of the building is deceiving! It looks like a home, but it's been creatively renovated into a fantastic space. Several round tables with seating are situated at the front of the stage with additional theater seating behind them with plenty of space to be comfortable. Lighting and acoustics were excellent. There are drinks and snacks offered in the hallway just outside the theater.
We enjoyed Spring Awakening so very much! The actors/singers/dancers were phenomenal. The production was absolutely quality all the way around. From the perspective of vocals I personally feel the cast gave a far richer and more powerful performance than the original Broadway cast. It really was totally awesome.
Go see a show here!! Beware that the parking situation is a residential street. You will likely have to park and walk, but not far.

I enjoy going to Parks all the time it. This part Martha Hart is a very nice park for children in to take your pet here. They have a nice pain that you can walk around and fish if you want to. They have a basketball court here and a baseball field. They even have a swing set for small children to play on. My dog likes coming here because he likes to walk around the pond and look at the little Froggies jump. They have a parking lot that you can park in and walk around the whole part the park isn't that big but it is a nice place just to get out and take a nice walk the park was not crowded when I went there. If anybody has not checked this place out I would recommend checking it out because you will enjoy it here and bring your small child along so they can have some fun as well. And don't forget to bring your pet if you have one dogs love it here too.

Very nice mixed use area park. Large parking lot, good shade in the morning but not so much mid afternoon. Sports fields and lawn look well maintained but the bathrooms being locked kinda ruined it. I can't imagine bringing kids to the playscape/park in general thinking theres available bathrooms only for them to be locked but luckily I was alone and went to the nearby Dollar General who allowed me to use theirs. One of the times I went here was to see a band called Spirit Shaker. They are a great band, and this particular show was a birthday party for one of the band's members. It was a great night.
Every seat in this place offers a great view of the stage. The beer, wine, and mixed drinks were all reasonably priced. They had some cheap little snacks to munch on as well, but nothing special to speak of.
There is some parking available in front of the place, but if that is not available, there is a nearby parking garage.

Normally I don't write reviews unless it's really bad or exceptionally good. This was more of a rip off than anything so here are my thoughts for those looking at an event at 'Trinity on Main'...
Had an Easter egg hunt and pizza with promise of the Easter bunny, face paint and a movie. this was 100% for them to make some money! pizza for anyone but the kids (with tickets) were $5 a slice (so no one else bought pizza) and they had 2 extra sheets of pizza left over that were cold. Started way late, had one of the kids dress up as the Easter bunny with only pink overalls, some bunny ears and painted on whiskers. There was NO face painting even though the city and state allow it and they said they would if it was allowed, had to give back the plastic eggs at the end before they would start a movie. at this point we were so disappointed that we just left knowing that the movie was going to be just as upsetting as the rest of the event. The only fun part was having our kids play with others after eating pizza and before the actual hunt. Please don't do this even again next year or if you do actually do what you say you are going to do and don't rip people off like you did this year.
I will never go back to trinity on main for anything again due to this poorly planed and excited joke of an Easter egg event.

A great brewery! Everything is located on the second floor, and the layout is great for large and small parties. We were the only ones in there but I’m sure it’s packed on the weekends. The giant pretzel was INCREDIBLE and the beer cheese was perfection. The beer was just decent, I tried the Pilsner, red ale, an IPA and the stout, and nothing incredibly special. However, the aesthetic, service (which was friendly and hospitable) and pretzel made me want to visit again. Worth checking out!

This is a nice place to spend your time. Beer variety is great: you can find IPAs, Kellerbier, Ales and a stout. All the beers I tried very decent, although I can specifically recommend their Imperial Stout - Mashacre - which tastes exactly like your morning cup of coffee (but boozy). IPAs are juicy and extremely smooth. Weerder series was juicy and full of berry flavor as well.
The kitchen is fine, we bought Buffalo Chicken pizza and Garlic Parm pretzel and enjoyed them. The place is located on the second floor, but they have an elevator available. It has one big room with a separate outdoor patio for warmer months.
Overall, I liked this brewery. I had their beers in bars many times, and their taproom did not disappoint.

What a cool place! My friend took me there for a few beer. I've been to enough breweries to kind of know what to expect, but this one exceeded the expectations.
It is very spacious, and we were quickly seated at a table. We got a few beers, and eventually the brick oven pizza started to look more and more appealing, so we ended up with a delicious Margherita Pizza. I had a few glasses of Amburlance, the amber ale, and it was fantastic.

Literally so many things to do here!
The museum has a great selection of things and it can be a great learning experience for young kids. They have many cute animals both inside and outside in the barn. Sometimes I take my little brother and we feed the goats and cow carrots, apples, and strawberries which they absolutely LOVE
They also have a nice trail next to the museum which is nice (I believe the longest route is a mile long) but when I went sometime in June there were SO many bugs. I don't think that is something that can be controlled so just make sure you bring bug spray! You will definitely need it.
In the small kiddy park section with the butterfly garden and small pond they also have a little free library, so any children's books you might have but do not need you can donate there.

Support resources are a bit lacking and some departments have very few professors. So if you don't like one, you can get stuck with them for several courses because they're the only one available for courses you need to take for your degree.
Also be mindful of what courses you take for each term, some courses are only available in specific terms or "irregularly" so plan carefully and loop in your department chair when needed.
CCSU has an underfunded feel, but it's also cheaper than other CT schools and not a bad option for students on a budget.

I've lived within throwing range practically for over a decade now. The area is really chill. Stanley Quarter Park is also right across the street. The campus has a great atmosphere and layout. Clean and quiet for the most part, there are concerts on occasion but as long as you don't live close by (like I do) you'll be fine.
Never attended any classes here but did work on campus doing snow removal ages ago. It hasn't changed much since, even though there was a lot less going on in the world at that point. But this definitely isn't a "protestors" sanctuary like some colleges have become in the past years.
Lastly it's a good spot to run/walk/bike through on the way to the FastTrack entrance. Be careful on Fenn and use the sidewalk or crosswalk and you'll be fine.

My original review got deleted. (Shocking) I went to this college many years ago and would just like to say college is not for everyone but college is also not needed for all jobs. I went for a degree that I was promised that I would be able to land a job somewhere. Fast forward into the future, and basically, I am now drowning in debt. The degree did not get me no job for over two years. I ended up getting a job that has no relation to my degree. The one thing I do remember from this college is how many useless "mandatory" classes I had to take for no reason.

I always love visiting Fun City. Everything is in good condition and maintained. It feels and looks clean. There are lots of couches for parents to sit on, which is great when you bring your big kids. We've had birthday parties here and my only wish is that the party rooms had ceilings so the room could be a reprieve from the noise in the trampoline area. Visiting during the week has quieter music than visiting on the weekend. It's not as overstimulating to visit during the week. There are lots of different trampoline set ups that keep the kids busy. This is a very nice park to come here with your family. They have outdoor grills picnic tables a big pond a big pool and also a playground so the kids can play. They also have a paved path around the back that you can walk around the entire pond on a loop trail. I come here at least twice a month because it's a beautiful place to just relax and walk your pet. You will see all kinds of ducks and wildlife out here. It's great for bicycling hiking fishing cookouts and family get togethers I would definitely recommend checking this place out if you have not been here already. I had always visited this loop while I used to live in the apartments near it. Today after 2-3 years I visited the park as the weather was great. To my suprise the park trail has been upgraded significantly with new road and new entrance across Park and Ride in Brittany Farms Rd. Anyways during this Covid-19 times I was excited to see some of the beautiful stone are which has been placed all through the trail. There are not many people on the trail, so it was a fun walk for an hour. I would recommend visiting it.

This library is vast, spanning multiple floors with books, DVD's, movies, and even CD's to boot! There are multiple reading areas, a family craft area, shelves lined with content for your eyes and ears, and a computer station for getting work done or searching the online catalog! Considering I rarely carry cash anymore, my only complaint is there isn't a way to pay by card for using the library printing & copying services, compared to other libraries I've visited. Seen people get $75 tickets, fare inspectors get on the bus at random stops, but they're usully(most of the time) at nb downtown and Flatbush station. I went here for Father’s Day with the family. We were able to solve Gangster’s Gamble with the assistance of a couple key hints/clues. It was not the hardest, but not the easiest room to solve, according to the guy running the place.

Theming was decent for the room and the game-master was very friendly, and did provide us a push when it was clear we knew what to do but was hesitant because while the final clue seemed straight forward we also didn’t want to break part of the set if we were wrong. It was a private room no matter how many people booked and the price was very reasonable.
Was pretty simple however. Even with just 2 of us it took only 35 minutes to complete. Other than one puzzle the puzzles were pretty straight forward with minimal throughout. 2nd and 3rd room seemed unnecessary (Or could have been combined into 1) with minimal puzzles really in them. Same with the starting puzzle to get into the room, didn’t really have a point.
Not having some sort of timer in the room to let us know we where we were, or a real clue system was also a little disappointing. Maybe some of the other rooms would have been better suited for us as we have done several rooms, but for us this was room went real quick.
Again nothing was wrong overall with the experience, but we have done many rooms in CT and this was one of the less exciting.
Update. So we have now played all 4 rooms. Gangsters Gamble and save the Queen were way better than the other two rooms. I’d rate those 4-4.5, and I’d highly recommend those rooms.

We are not newbies to escape rooms and signed up for the lost book of spells. In short, it was not a great experience. We couldn’t get past one huge puzzle to get to the next room and the hints given were unhelpful. And also, written/ drawn so super hard to understand the handwriting. You would think if we were stumped, they would help you out so you can at least get it the next room but no, we spent $30 a person in order to spend 40 minutes on one puzzle essentially. And after the guy came to tell us we were done and tried to explain the hints, it STILL didn’t make sense. I mean we might not be the smartest but I can assure you we’ve gotten out of every other escape room we have done before. Needless to say, we won’t be back to try the other rooms.

We went 2 celebrate a birthday and I was pleasantly surprised. Based on my past experience at an Escape Room this was very different. I enjoyed it as we had 2 get into several rooms! It was such a good time. The lighting was dim so wear your glasses as it makes it difficult 2 read the clues. The hostess was very welcoming and helpful. The location will have you drive right by. It would be great if there was a flag or some other way to identify it as a few of us drove right by. There is a box that everyone can lock their belongings in. The cost was fair. We paid $30. My three kids who are all in their early 20's and I went for something different to do and it was so much fun!!! The one we did Gangster's Gamble which was great, rooms were set up with era props and furnishing which gave it a historic feel. The clues were challenging but not so hard you can't figure them out. I'm amazed by the beauty of this place!
MDC operates the water treatment plants located at this reservoir. This is a privately owned area and not a public park. There was MDC Police that patrolled the area when I was there. Parking was plentiful when we went on a beautiful spring weekday. There were clean porta potties onsite. There were trails in the woods and out in the open; the trails were paved and gravel. It is opened daily from sunrise to sunset and closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas.
There were two trails; 3.4-mile loop red trail and 2.0-mile loop yellow trail. We started off with the gravel yellow trail that has a slight incline. Then we got onto part of the red loop which was near the bridge overlooking the water. We saw a couple of deer in the woods, geese, and turtles in the water. This is where we walked on pavement. Some of the trees were marked by type. The trail was busy with walkers and bikers. Overall, I really enjoyed the hike/walk and can't wait to go back.

This place is great for hiking and bicycling also taking your dog here. They have a beautiful Reservoir right when you pull in and off to the left will be parking. They also have another Reservoir more towards the back that goes in a loop. They have plenty of trails here that go in a loop they have a beautiful bridge and it is a awesome spot to take lovely beautiful pictures. If nobody has been here I would definitely recommend checking this place out. My dog loves it here and we try to come here at least once a month so he could stretch his legs and enjoy looking at the reservoir. There is plenty of parking if you get here early.

Brought my husband for the ice cream making class and it was so fun! Peter was fantastic at explaining the business to us while keeping it very fun. One thing I learned during the class was the ingredients they use are super premium (very high end) and they support lots of CT local businesses. My 5 yr old daughter didn't like it. Way too easy to get hurt, as they have agree to 10 plus legal agreements. The "jump zone socks" wouldn't stay on her feet, one came off during a climb, on the slide down received a friction burn. Ambulance/Emts carting away an injured child during our visit. The 0 to 6 area is probably fun enough for 0 to 3, but 4 to 6 maybe not so much. May be more oriented for older children. A similar bounce business in Orange CT has a better younger child area in my opinion.

They have music on at all times and you can play your own music via TouchTunes to hear your favorites. When the weather is nice there is corn hole outside with tables. Very decent little local bar in town I used to frequent.
Last time I went there I had to keep a tab open by giving the bartender my debit card. No problem BUT I made it clear I was paying with cash. At the end of the night I paid cash and then they ran my card on accident. I spoke to the girls at the bar and they very kindly refunded my money. They asked me to give it 2-3 business days to show back up on my card statement.

I visited Chelsey Park in Newington with my kids and we had a great time. The park has a lot of features to offer for families with children of different ages.
The splash pad is huge and fun. It's actually two in one with two separate activation points, so there is plenty of space and variety for the kids to enjoy. The water is refreshing and clean. The only downside is that there is virtually no shade, so make sure to bring sunscreen and hats. There is also a spot in the center that gets extremely slippery. My youngest fell three times, hurting herself each time.
The playground is set away from the splash pad but accessible from the same parking lot. The playground is geared toward older kids (6+), as it has some challenging obstacles and slides to navigate. The slides can get quite hot in the sun, so be careful. The playground is physically and mentally engaging, as it encourages the kids to use their skills and imagination. There is also a rope swing zipline thing that looks like a lot of fun, but we didn't try it. There is some nice shade around the playground, which is a relief.
The ground of the park is super spongy and soft, which makes it safer for the kids to play and fall. It also feels nice to step on. The park is well-maintained and clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful.
Overall, we had a wonderful experience at Chelsey Park in Newington and we highly recommend it to other families looking for a fun and relaxing day out. It's definitely worth five stars.

I love this little Park I'll go there almost every day it's a great place to bring kids and other family IT HAS SO MANY Poke Stops, which is a destination for Pokemon game players and it even has two Pokemon gyms nearby.
I WOULD EVEN CALL THIS A POKEMON PARK! IT also has basketball courts (two full courts). There's a waterpark that's small but it's enough space for 20 kids or so, with an area for the adults to hang around and have a picnic while they kids play together in the water park or on the small playgrounds nearby, I believe it has two playgrounds, one for little kids and one for bigger kids. Most days it's not too crowded and there are plenty of places to eat nearby there's a pizza shop and a few small convenience stores very close to the entrance of the park making it easy to have a picnic on the go with the shopping plaza nearby you can pick up anything you need for your picnic or or a Cook-Out I have seen a few people throwing parties there. Most of all the atmosphere seems very family-friendly it's not a violent area I haven't witnessed many crimes except maybe for like drug use and some public drinking overall is one of my favorite places to be in New Britain Connecticut.

Horrible. People don’t respect that this park is next to apartments and houses and that people live here which means people work and children go to school. I brought my son here because the park looks clean and vibrant in the photos. When I got there, I was surprised to see that it was in a bad neighborhood and I would have NEVER expected the park to be where it was. Regardless, I continued on to the park because I was impressed with the park itself. Unfortunately the people ruined it for me. One of the older kids told their sister to follow my two year old around and pour water on his head. Even though it’s a water park, my son doesn’t like water being poured on his head. My son handled it well at first but then she took it too far and instead of her parents scolding her, I had to tell her to stop. Another child kept stopping the water wherever my son was trying to go to fill his little cup and I had to scold him too. The park is beautiful, but because of the people I won’t be going there again.

John Carmelo Masserio changed back to the Original spelling Massirio and his wife whom recently passed Dorothy (Dora) Rose (Zavarella) Massirio has been laid to rest in the outdoor Moseluem.
This is our family cemetery and it is beautiful.
