There is an entry ticket of 100INR. The Govt. has done a fabulous job of renovating and maintaining the fort. Once you enter the fort, follow the instructions of the security guard and visit each room in that order. The fort has beautiful collections of coins, stamps, ivory, furniture, jewellery, etc. in the different rooms. The place is like a museum itself with many artifacts. But you cannot roam freely as you wish even if you want a picture you don't have time as oftenly they force you to continue the visit. There are many restricted areas in outside places whereby only outside front view of the fort is allowed. It was good as a museum visit but I wanted to see the core structure of a 5 century old castle and fort which they denied access for security issues as some parts are still under renovation which I can understand but for restricted outer space I think it mainly because they don't want you to see the small slum behind the fort or garbages.
