You can kayak on Holmes Lake and there are plenty of places to be able to fish alone, with North and South shore access. Most youth from this part of Lincoln share fond memories of going to Holmes Lake to spend time with their families and/or friends and if you are as old or older than me and are a Lincolnite, you probably have fond memories of going to Holmes Lake to watch the fireworks show for Independence Day. The greatest thing the lake gave me is my girlfriend, but has also provided a lifetime of great memories.
