When we walked in, the downstairs section was fairly organised but the further you went, the more chaotic it got. Seems that according to another review the place has changed ownership. The woman rushed over and started picking it up and told us we had to pay for it , I refused because a tea set on the ground is nota place for a tea set, she then said we should pay half, I refused for the same reason that she shouldn't be putting breakables at ground level. She told me how hard it was for small businesses to survive and if I didn't pay half she wouldn't let us out the shop, after I refused again she rushed to the door to close it we tried to get out but she locked us in. We were stuck in the shop me and a 2 year old child who was by this time crying . She said if we didn't pay half she would call the police , I said if she didn't let us out I would call the police for unlawful detention. She still refused to let us out by this time the door was locked and she was standing between us and the door in a narrow passage refusing to let us out. I called the Katoomba police station and told them we were locked in a shop, they said they would book it as a job and someone would come round. After a new few minutes I realised there must be a backdoor so picked the baby up out of the pram and headed to the back of the shop and down a narrow passageway to the backdoor. She chased after us and tried to grab me and the baby to stop us leaving. We both got a SCRATCH on our arms from her trying to stop us leaving. We have pictures as evidence. We walked around to the front of the shop to try and get the pram which was still locked in the shop the front shop door was open but she closed it and locked i again when she saw us coming so we couldn't get the pram she did this twice , eventually she left the front door open and I went in and got the pram. We waited about 10mins to see if the police would arrive , they didn't so we carried on our walk back home. So my only question is , is the shop called "Heart of Stone" because of the nature of the woman in charge?
