Every dish was fresh and full of flavour and we thoroughly enjoyed it. I also tried the Vietnamese cold coffee which was okay but not as impressive as the food. The inside of the restaurant felt a bit too cramped so we decided to sit outside. Unfortunately, the table we got was right near the door and every time it opened a burst of cold wind came through. The floor outside was also a little uneven so the table was slightly inclined which made it less comfortable. It was the only table available at the time so we had to make do. On the positive side, the food really was outstanding, the payment process was quick and easy, and there is some parking available on the main road. We were lucky to find a spot. Overall this is a place I would return to for the food, even though the outdoor seating could be improved.

As a local who has loved Arjuna's and frequented it for 20 years (and knows many other locals who do as well), I think the random 1 star ratings are driving the average way below what it deserves. It is the best restaurant to come to on a typical mountains night (cold, misty, drizzly!). It is always SO warm, cosy, inviting and smells delicious. Indian people should not go if they expect the usual Indian restaurant feel and food. If you love a fine dining experience of Indian food with spectacular views of blue mountains inside a beautifully maintained wooden house, this is your place. Book a table and visit. I would give five stars for how they have maintained their car park and toilet 😀. I could see that the restaurant operator or the lady at the reception prefers to run it as fine dining and doesn't want to or appreciate any deviation, which is good for maintaining that place.

The menu looked really tempting with varieties in Chinese soups and food. We ordered some coffee first and then had some chilli garlic prawns and Singapore noodles to eat. To be honest the coffee was not up to the mark we expected, it felt like the milk was not fresh, also the food looked really good but when we tasted it, the taste didn't seem really good it was quite oily and it spoiled our appetite. I got the goat Roganjosh and it was simply incredible. It melts in your mouth and is so juicy and flavourful, I cannot recommend it enough. And to top it off, this place is definitely not run by authentic Vietnamese operators – the lack of hospitality shows. The food arrived on time, which was impressive given that today was the first day this place has done home deliveries, so I imagine they were probably slammed. Staff were absolutely amazing with their customer service and recommendations. Love the environment and that it was actually warm inside and very comfortable, they maximise the space for lots of seating but not so you are squashed, lots of places in Katoomba need to learn from them! Amazing. The food was delicious, my partner and I ate everything and were left still talking about it. Definitely coming here for our next family outing. The drinks menu is superb, such an amazing selection of drinks left me wanting to order 1 of everything to try, we got the Thai milk tea which tasted very traditional, was delicious. The lemon and orange black tea, was sweet but very refreshing! And the earl grey matcha, this was the highlight of the drinks. Was so delicious and had the perfect blend of matcha and earl grey.

My wife being Thai asked politely for sauces, dips, chilli etc the waitperson tossed their head back and pointed towards the door and said there! They abruptly grabbed the trolly & swung it next to our table. I have never seen such poor behaviour by a waitperson who clearly did not want to be there, doesn’t like people, would be more suited in a job where there is no public and mind you kept pulling their phone out looking at the time/messages. The atmosphere was okay, but looking at the signs on the wall it sort of indicates what sort of atmosphere they want. To finish my review I watched as 2 young girls went to counter to order and she politely said number 24 and same staff said WHATS THE NAME OF THE DISH! In an annoyed tone. I am not making this up, I am so sorry to give a bad review. After how we were treated I felt this had to be told. Oh if you order a beer, can only drink out of the bottle. No glasses Yes I know the food looks good in photos but I can tell you the truth the Thai flavours were lacking big time. Same staffer turning chairs upside down ready for closing in 1.5 hours BANGED EACH CHAIR ON THE TABLE AND THERE WERE MANY CHAIRS. To my surprise this restaurant does both bubble tea, meals and snacks! We tried the ginger chicken bento box my tried the chicken curry, veggie udon pork+veggie baos and finished the night of with multiple sweet baos including custard,red been,taro and black sesame.
