Coming from Canada this was a big part of our trip for our child and the park didn't let down. Cleanliness seemed as a top priority and all the staff experiences were pleasant.
Food was decent and priced as you would think an amusement park would.
Bathrooms and smoking areas available across the park.
The Peppa Pig portion is where we spent most of our day and it was well kept and looked up to date.

Great theme park, not only for younger kids but also for big boys along with adults. Went in Halloween and it was all Pumpkins everywhere. Nicely decorated, enough rides. Ample free parking, easy check in, well done with the halloween theme, waits on some rides are reasonable. Their phone app is super useful showing locations and waiting times. You need more than a day to explore everything here!! That was our only complain. It is a great place to spend time with kids. No water related rides/pools for adults which we found disappointing as we came prepared for one (without checking in detail online). That's why the 4 star. There's a splash area for kids and that's it for anything water related as far as I can tell. Would give it 5 star purely for everything kids related. There's lots to explore here. I read on one the reviews to get a packed lunch and I'm glad I read it and we did bring something to eat during the day which did save us some ££!!. We went on a weekday during the school holidays and it wasn't that crowded. Parking is hassle free and they guide you to an empty spot. We went to Peppa Pig World first and managed to get on few of the rides without queuing for long. We found this to be better than Legoland based on our overall experience. Would be going back to explore the unexplored sections/rides hopefully soon!!

Paultons Park is a beautiful, well kept and very themed in the seperate of areas in the park. There is so so many family rides what everyone can enjoy. The ride access pass was so easy to use. The food in the Route 83 diner was really nice. Amazing price value in the shop & food outlets. The toilets was very clean. If the rides are getting to much you have got the gorgeous well kept gardens and animals to walk round. Paultons deserved the best theme park of the year as I had no faults with anything. 🤍

This is truly a place you should visit at least once when in the UK. We had a short 3-day cycling trip here. Everything was wonderful — from the scenery to the people. The New Forest is a brilliant place for families, especially with kids. The free-roaming ponies, donkeys, and other animals make it feel magical, and places like the Wildlife Park add more chances to see deer, otters, and birds. There are plenty of easy walking trails too, such as at Bolderwood Deer Sanctuary, and lots of open spaces that are perfect for picnics.
Camping is well set up with designated sites, ranging from rustic fields to family-friendly spots with toilets and showers. Wild camping isn’t allowed, but the official sites give you space for kids to play and a good base to explore. Shops are small village stores or farm shops rather than big supermarkets, and toilets are generally available at visitor centres, though sometimes basic.
The park doesn’t really have a big lake for swimming or boating, and indoor play options are limited, so it’s very much an outdoor destination. If you’re prepared for nature, fresh air, and a slightly rustic feel, the New Forest is a wonderful family escape where children can explore freely and see animals up close.

Gorgeous place, well worth a visit if you appreciate nature. The ponies are such a treat to see. It’s also great for beginner cyclists as it has the Old Railway route created by Cycling UK. I felt like I was in a renaissance oil painting at times because the sights were so beautiful. Make sure to get out early to admire the sights as it gets very busy in August.

I hadn't visited in ages and I'll make sure I don't leave it too long before coming back. The amazing weather helped of course. Good to see they're reinvesting into the place with added installations, additional seating, and a refreshment stand on the play trail. Kids were happy and there are far worse surroundings. The woodland is beautiful. We parked offside and walked in which paid for the ice creams!

We absolutely love coming to Moors Valley. I take my son here on a Sunday morning to do junior parkrun (discounted price for parking and enough time for a coffee and the playground). Brilliant facilities, beautiful scenery. The play trail is a big winner though, it's thoughtful, well maintained and interesting for kids. I also love the range of activities on offer, we recently experienced the Halloween Lights Trail which was great fun. I know some people moan about the parking cost, it isn't cheap but let's be honest, it pays for the upkeep of the park which is really well kept, in comparison with so many other public and private places.

Such a fabulous place for young children! Yes the parking charge is high but there is no entrance fee so it seemed good value to us, the one mile play trail of ten wooden structures to climb and explore dotted around the forest was the perfect length. Lovely park area near the main playground to bring a picnic etc. We didn't go on the train (costs extra) as there was more than enough to do without that.

Parking crazy expensive. I fully understand this is put towards maintaining the lovely area but I would prefer to pay a one off fee then relax knowing we aren't being charged by the minute/the longer we stay the more it costs.
We stayed for less than two hours, for a short walk around to break up a long journey and see if the go ape looked like something we could do with our kids on another visit or use our bikes in the area.
It cost us over £12 for the parking fee!
We won't be returning here unless we park outside if the area and walk/ride in.

First time visit, with son and young grandchildren (3 & 6 yrs). They both throughly enjoyed the Play Trail, being able to use all the apparatus. The final part, the adventure playground was also a hit. Impeccably clean and well laid out. The Visitor Centre staff were friendly and helpful. The cafe was expensive as they often are in parks. One thing did puzzle me and my wife wouldn't let me ask. Why is a large tea 50p than a medium tea but you only get one tea bag so it struck me strange that you get charged 50p for a slash of extra water. But £2.25 for a canned drink is obscene.
I would love to visit again if we ever come to the area again, we were there about three hours. One of our party was on a mobility scooter, bumpy but easy to get around. I wouldn't fancy pushing a wheelchair though.

It was an ok time, but not exactly mind blowing. If you're looking for a family friendly walk with a bit of seasonal flair, this pretty much hits the mark. The lighting and sound effects in the forest were decent they definitely made the woods feel spooky enough, especially once it got properly dark. You get the classic stuff: some skeletons, glowing pumpkins, and creepy noises in the trees. It’s atmospheric enough for a nice evening stroll. However, I wouldn't rush to book tickets for next year. While there were a few actors along the route. Also the food and entry cost way to much for what you get.

What a place!!! Have used the inflatable park many times, the teenage kids love it, young kids, young adults and even us oldies (brings out some youth in us I guess)
I also use the wake park regularly. 5 point cable in a ring so can get 6 people on at any one time. Not always the case and you can ask for gaps if suitable. They also do slow sessions for beginners. But even on a busy session you'll get so much time on the water you'll be wiped out... That is either you'll be knackered or actually have wiped out on one of the many awesome features! Kit hire available.
Cafe on site with real nice fresh pizza oven food and a bar up the top for post activity chill out time.
Can't comment on camping though as I haven't used that facility.
The owners are awesome people who will be there most days. The staff are well trained, friendly and super knowledgeable so if you're needing the next step for boarding, just ask them and they will help.
Other activities like kayaking and SUP are also available.

Went wakeboarding and then on the aqua park afterwards. It was such good fun. We went on a Friday (free parking) at the end of September so it was pretty quiet. Ben was our one to one tutor on the wakeboarding which I'd never done before but managed to get up first time. Ben was an excellent instructor, very encouraging, friendly and full of positivity and tips on how to improve, I had a smile on my face the whole time. We then had an hour on the aqua park which was a great laugh, smiles all the way.
Didn't have any food/drink so can't comment on that , but had a great time and would definitely go back again especially during quieter periods.

A fantastic day out for the family! Our nephews have been to the water park for the last two summers when they’ve been to visit us in Brighton and absolutely love the day out. The first thing they said when they got off of the water park was “how much is it for an hour?” To see if they could use their pocket money to go again. Brilliant facilities and friendly staff. A lovely deer sanctuary. We headed here for a short walk and to hopefully see some deer. There was no deer by the deer platform, but we did spot some in the fields near the paths. I visited Bolderwood at the end of October 2025 and I did see a handful of deer although they didn't stay around long to capture any photos. The area itself is wonderful to walk around and explore with plenty of bird life. After rainfall, the ground can be slippy and muddy so good footwear is essential. Mostly flat along the trails.

An amazing wildlife park with beautiful well cared for animals and excellent knowledgeable friendly keepers.
We visit most weeks as annual member holders and throughly enjoy it just as much every time- and always see something different! The keeper talks are always informative and interesting and learn something new.
Their conversation work is amazing and it’s brilliant to see all the animals thriving. If I had to choose a favourite animal it would be the elusive Eurasian otter Chestnut but closely followed by the noisy Giant otter family- but love all of the animals.
I will continue to visit as frequently and renew when the year is up- I’m very excited to see what they have planned next. Keep up the great work.

Visited today with my otter-obsessed teenage daughters (13 & 15) for a keeper experience with the Giant Otters and the Asian Short Clawed Otters.
We had the best day! Ali (our keeper) was so friendly and knowledge. Since it was a quiet day (lots of rain previously), she arrived with fish for the otters, but also food for the ferrets, polecats and deer (this ended up being a favourite as we got to hand feed and stroke the most beautiful fallow deer!)
The park is fantastic. The enclosures really feel like part of the surroundings, and none of the animals seemed stressed (unlike in some zoos!). They do a lot of rehabilitation work, and support rescue organisations with rehoming etc.
Honestly, I wish we’d come sooner! If you have kids that love animals, definitely visit. They have fantastic play areas as well as it being pretty accessible, and unlike some places is family-owned, so every visit matters.
We will definitely return - probably for another keeper experience as we’ve been spoiled now. Thank you to the team there (including the really lovely lady at the entrance!) - you’re a credit to the park 🫶

A brilliant morning out. We bought our tickets in advance on the website so it was quick to get in. It was brilliant to see all of the otters and to see them being fed at 11 was a highlight as a keen otter lover. Place was quite easy to walk around and explore with no real steep inclines. Got to get close to the deer and were even able to pet one! It was disappointing to not see the wallabies not sure where they were hiding. There’s lots of things and places to keep kids entertained and overall a really good value experience.

Recently went to the Splashdown Poole and it is a fantastic waterpark, which has a mix of indoor and outdoor attractions. It’s perfect for families, with thrill slides like The Screamer and more relaxed options like the Red River Roller.
The park is generally clean but can get busy, especially on weekends and holidays. Lockers are available. they just need a pound coin to use it, and staff are quite friendly. Note that some rides have height restrictions and the children area is closed for refurbishment, so younger children may have limited options, though there are plenty of family-friendly rides.

We visit splashdown every year for the last few years and there has never been a slide closed. There are a great variety of slides. That said, the place is getting a little tired with rust coming through here and there and the outside slides could definitely do with a jet wash. The changing rooms are always clean if a little too wet on the floor if I’m being picky. A great afternoon. (We booked 2-5pm on a Thursday of half term) and wasn’t too busy. The maximum we waited was around 10 mins for Velocity but pretty much walked on the rest of the slides. A great venue. I really enjoyed my time at Splashdown, there is a wide variety of high quality rides, and while the layout does leave you feeling slightly claustrophobic, they are truly just making 100% use of the space. The changing rooms were very cramped though. Luckily, the outdoor slides were open, which provided a lot more variety. My friend and I took the dogs to Lepe on a week day and although it was the Easter holidays it wasn't overly busy which was nice. There's lots of parking and we parked in the top car park where there is a lovely green area for picnics and far reaching views. .
We walked down past the cafe to the beach and turned to the left and had a lovely walk along the beach, down past the nature reserve. It's a lovely mixture of beach and countryside and of course the New Forest is just down the road for more lovely walks.
This is a hidden gem of a place, perfect for families. Parking was £8, there is an adventure play area for kids and there is a block of clean toilets just behind the cafe.

Great inflatable water park. Water is nice and clean. Salt water, but teenagers and adults can touch the bottom so can avoid head going under most of the time. Wet suits were advised even in summer but not too bad without. Private cubicle changing rooms available, and showers for after. Great chips at cafe.

Such a great place for all ages. The water is cold but you can hire wet suits for £6. The sessions are almost two hours so it’s decent value for money. Also a nice little cafe and New Forest ice cream. Showers and changing rooms are sufficient. Lots of seating dotted around for spectators.
Parking is sometimes busy so leave plenty of time.
We did the 11am-12.50 session followed by a drive in to the new Forest for a picnic after, making for a good family day out.
Adults can spectate for £2.50 or swim in the separate section for just £4.50… or of course take part.
Special mention to staff today who were fab and super informative. We were greeted by a lifeguard who gave us a rundown of the rules and safety info which was much appreciated. Also everyone has to wear a buoyancy aid, which is provided.

Everyone seemed to be having a great time here.
The lagoon is split into three areas, the swimming area, which is a decent size, split into a family area and lane swimming. It's very cheap to book too (£2.25 per child, £4.50 per adult for 2 hours).
The inflatables, which are a lot more expensive (around £70 for 4 people) but it's a very large course and they get nearly 2 hours on it.
The third area is sectioned off for paddleboarding (£10/hour)which was not very busy, they say a maximum of 8-10 people at a time but for the first hour there were only 2 and then 3 during the second hour.

There were staff everywhere, around 10 lifeguards too. All very helpful and friendly.

£2.50 fee for spectators which doesn't get you anything other than entrance seems a little unnecessary.

An absolutely wonderful location for a family dog walk all year around, but especially in the Autumn. We covered about 6000 steps but could have gone much further. There are flat paths and hilly bits, heathland and shaded tree lined routes, a real variety in a small area.

Such a beautiful and peaceful place to spend sometime in. The paths are all level and great for folk using wheel chairs. There was at least one motorised one hired out while we were there. Toilets on site. The hides are great to view the wildlife and in particular the birds. I saw a heron catch a fish and fly off. Note to take binoculars next time. Also picked loads of blackberries. We then finished off our time with lunch at Hockey's farm shop and farmyard cafe (a 5 minute drive away).

I picked this walk using the New Forest app and really enjoyed the variety of views along the way. The car park is a good size, though smaller than some of the other New Forest hiking spots. Worth noting there are no facilities here (no toilets or coffee van), although in the summer I’ve seen an ice cream van parked up across the ford. Love a National Trust, and if you are doing Tennyson Down it is definitely worth stopping by the Old Fort. I really liked how they have restored parts of the site and brought it to life. It is not very big so it does not take long to go around, but it is nice to wander through and the views of the Needles are amazing and were the real highlight. They also have a tea room, which to be honest was not that great, a bit of a shame given how lovely some other National Trust tea rooms are. It could have been something really charming like the one at the lighthouse in Dorset. The walk to the fort was another highlight and is so beautiful with lots of wildlife. A really stunning area.

an incredible couple of hours spent here. We got a return on the cable car, £10 per adult. Really good price. Had beautiful views of the ocean coming down, we then went straight onto the boat ride, again incredibly priced. 20 mins out to sea and a view of the needles, beautiful sights. We were lucky enough to have stunning weather. Cable car back up to the top after a lovely walk along the beach and then made our sand jars and played crazy golf. My last visit was back in 2015 with my then 8yr old daughter, so it was only fair that I took my now 9yr old son to the same Horse Farm.
It was lovely to see that it had some new improvements, but it was lovely to see it still had lots of the same things when I last visited.
The horses all looked well loved and cared for, and its great to offer activities and mini history sessions to teach the new generations of the importance of our horses and how they helped Shape the world we live in today.
My son loved the same things as my daughter, feeding the horses, riding the pedal go-cart, petting the rabbits and reading and listening to the history of the horses.
It was a shame we didn’t get to go on a horse and cart ride, but that was our fault as we didn’t arrive til 12:30pm and with it being the summer holidays.
The staff were all friendly, the main man, who seemed to be here there and everywhere was great, I believe it was the same gentleman who let my daughter sit in the front of the horse and cart ride.
The facilities were clean and reasonable.
We didn’t eat here, but the cakes looked good.
Easy to find and lots of parking spaces.
Thoroughly enjoyed my visit again and will continue to recommend it to anyone who is holidaying in the area.

A really good, fun day out. We took our daughter for her 2nd birthday and we all loved it. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming and full of fascinating information and you can tell they have a genuine passion for the animals. It was great to step back in time and see the vintage machinery, the old farm ways and the world war Mockups. All related to horses through the years. What was really nice was the free rides and games dotted about and refreshing that there wasn't an extra fee for these.
There is a western themed cafe with a really good choice of food and kids menu and the portions are really generous. I had the ploughman's and was not disappointed. We spent a full day here and will definitely come back to this hidden gem.

Really excellent. My 3 year old loved it and was entertained for nearly 4 hours. The day was well rhought through choreographed with friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff offering a variety of talks and activities. The Farm was well worth a visit. The heavy horses are beautiful and it was worth going just to see them. The talks were interesting and informative. The WW1 trench was unexpected but educational.
There are a lot of play areas and animals for children to enjoy and it is certainly a place I would take grandchildren if I had them!
We turned up on spec and had no problem getting in, however we were warned that the previous day coach parties filled the place up. So, I would book in advance in the future.

Great site and facilities. We did a white group lesson for first timers on skiing which was good and the slope was not big so it was very friendly for beginners.

We've been to Snowtrax Alpine Park many times now. My little one loves it, and so much so that today we've had her birthday party there! Pay per child and the parent gets in free too, plus a picnic lunch and a covered picnic bench for 2 hours. You can stay there all day though, if you like.
The Alpine Park is great fun! An enclosed and tree covered outdoor trail of balance beams, climbing walls, platforms and swings, plus a zip line and the huge pirates ship to play in too! Take a picnic or buy from the little hut by the entrance, or alternatively head up the slope to the bar and restaurant for something more substantial. Great views of the dry slope from up there and a little kids play areas indoors too. Not tried the ringos yet but have heard great things! Thoroughly recommend!

Friday 16th February 2024 and a really good day. I could hear my own footsteps as well as the sound of the geese and the Oyster Catcher's. I walked from Lymington and walked as far as Keyhaven and this was when it got interesting. There is a sign in Keyhaven that says " Cycle Path to Lymington". I ignored it , walked around the harbour, followed the map or so I thought, walked past the Gun Inn pub and discovered a footpath sign and assumed it would be the pathway I wanted to walk back to Lymington. Please don't laugh, I ended up in Great New bridge copse and I think I am the first person to leave a review of it on Google. I definitely walked my 10,000 step's today. The copse is very muddy. I would like to say I completed the walk around the nature reserve but I didn't and got my boots muddy( and my hands when I did an uncontrolled skid and dive ) The walk around the nature reserve was great and peaceful. Even the dog's were friendly. All in all a great way to spend a Friday on a winter's day. 🌟🌟Thursday 9th May 2024. I decided to complete the 10 km walk on what has proved to be the hottest day of the year so far. I started out in Lymington and reached the " cycle path to Lymington" sign. I think the road is originally a single lane road that has been handed over to cyclist's and walker's. A lot of the track reverts to shingle and clearly flooded during the winter. Along the way
back to Lymington i saw a pheasant, numerous horse's and great countryside, field's and a great view of the coast path in the distance. It is a long walk but should be easier if you cycle. A lot of the tarmac route can be avoided if you become adventurous and explore the pathways as well. Obviously I didn't use Pennington car park but it seemed popular and would be really convenient for people walking around this side of the marshes. The walking route around is well signposted and quite easy to follow. The route is advertised as 10km The the route back to Lymington from Keyhaven does feel shorter. . The pathway's link up so you don't have to walk the whole way. The next stage is a Lymington to Hurst Castle walk. I have happy memories of walking the shingle spit 🤣 . Great for the leg muscles.

Absolutely stunning walkway! Easy to keep on walking and walking and before you know it you have covered 10 miles plus! The marshlands are littered with wild horses, birds and stunning scenery which stretches to the Isle of Wight needles! Great if you are interested in herpetology and reptiles of Britain. Was great to see adders, toads, frogs, lizards etc., and also to enjoy a walk around the nature trail and see beautiful trees and enjoy the New Forest.

Very large site, so kids have no time to be bored. Well organized event. We just selected base option after hours for the party but were nicely surprised with extras & the way that it has been conducted. From the very beginning you do feel welcomed and guided on what to expect. Kids started with wall climbing through soft play time ending with food and cake. Animal balloon modelling was a nice touch - kids loved it. Staff were very helpful and kind. Highly recommended. Perhaps it is a bit pricey than others but we did save a little last year and it was a disaster. You get what you pay for. They even automatically refunded guests cost that did not turned up. Did not expect that at all.
Very pleased and thanks for the Lemur Landing Team to make my daughter beautiful memories.

My boy also stumped his toes on the lose metal strips that join the sections of floor together on the way past the tables to the toilet. Pretty dangerous after I felt how lose they were, you can get your fingers under the straps. Major trip hazard.

The man supervising the climbing was very patient and attentive to my boys who wanted to climb, I say patient as my youngest was in and out of the harnesses from one to the other.

We've just had a birthday party at lemur landing. Sadly we had very bad experience and now after reading previous reviews i've now come to the conclusion the owner's-management are never going to change until 1: Some one takes them to court for a serious incident or 2: It effects the owners in the pocket so this will sound bitter but i hope it's the latter.
I'm going to fair and start of on the good points,
1: Young member of staff assigned to our party can make balloon swords or dog's. (I can't)
2: The party room was clean:
3: There's a lot there for kids to be entertained for hours.
Now the bad points.
1: Arrival: A young lad that you could see was stressed and struggling to keep reception going we waited 10 minutes to be let in so we could set up our room for party.
2: The soft ball air gun's 4 out of 6 guns weren't working and a one you can see the hose is snapped and blows compressed air in your face.
3: Our daughter cut her lip on that main soft play section. I asked a member of staff for napkins to clean the blood up, They weren't bothered and just pointed me to napkin stand. (So hope at some point this area gets cleaned) My partner also mentioned to another member about the blood on my daughters face and didn't show any compassion. So we delayed the food coming out so she could be cleaned up.
4: Lola the lemur the mascot was a disappointment and didn't want to engage with children.
5: Value for money sadly not.
The employee's there are young and i understand there not always going to having the best days so they need the management to incentive them and provide more support when there busy . The staff are public facing so every once in a while they just need to fake a smile to make it look like there happy to be there to give customers a nice time. Looking after children is hard work and we go there for some fun and break.
So in two words DON'T GO, go elsewhere and maybe the owners will get the message.

I have a 10 month old, was looking for something to do with the whole family on an overcast day. The baby section leaves a sour taste in the mouth for what I paid ( under 1s is same price as an adult). The lil kids soft climbing area was overrun with kids from the "model village" bits and bobs. There is no ball pit. Finally the last straw was two older women trying to stealth vape in front of the baby section. I reported it, but the staff only put out a psa on the tanoy.

The play frame is massive but there are also climbing walls and a dress up/imagination area. There are 2 smaller areas for younger children and babies.
Sessions during peak times are 2 1/2 hours and off peak they don't have a time limit.
Food from the cafe is good but a little pricey. They have hot and cold options for both food and drink and some sweet treats available.
Parties are brilliant here.
The only reason this doesn't have 5 stars is that the coat for adults is just unreasonable - £4.10 just to come in and observe the kids running around.
You do have the pre book tickets via the website you can not just turn up.

A fantastic place to visit in Bournemouth! The Bournemouth Natural Science Society offers a wide range of fascinating exhibits including marine life, butterflies and moths, mammals, and local history. When we visited, they also had a live display of reptiles and insects, which was a real highlight—especially being able to handle some of them!
The museum is free to enter, but donations are appreciated and go a long way in supporting their work. Great for families, kids, or anyone with an interest in nature and science.

Great place for families and people interested in science, insects, geology, fossils, plants, animals etc.
Lots of friendly experts on hand to talk through things they are passionate about and answers any questions.
Free entry but donations appreciated. We bought a few bits in the shop which we very reasonably priced. Ideal for kids spending pocket money on gems and fossils. We were told there was a lady who carefully bagged and labeled everything in the shop (we all appreciated her hard work!)
There was a kind lady in the botanical area who inspired my daughter to create a nature journal and gave her some pictures of plants to get her started, thank you! She also gave both my children a shell/pebble which they loved.
We all had a great time and spent far longer than we planned to. The highlight (for me!) was holding a tarantula and milipead in the basement though! The owners were friendly, reassuring and knowledgeable.
We would visit regularly if we lived closer!

Absolutely brilliant time here with the kids, highly recommend! Only recently learnt of this museum and wasn't expecting much initially. We were greeted by some lovely volunteers and although the entry was free, we did donate as this incredible museum relies on the donations and volunteers (so please do donate). The volunteers were all approachable and knowledgeable about the things you found here. We had a nice long chat with a gentleman volunteer who knew lots about the taxidermy wild animals and the preserved bugs. He told us many interesting facts about them. Our favourite part was the encounter with the live insects and reptiles, my daughter who used to be afraid of spiders held a sweet tarantula called Curly and now thinks they're adorable! We also wore noble snakes like scarves, had a cute bearded dragon snuggle into us and had the most gentle variety of insects crawl across our hands. We then explored the upstairs area of the museum which included a real Egyptian mummy surrounded by beautiful artefacts. Unfortunately we didn't have enough time to explore the downstairs area which the fossils and geology but will sure be back during the half term to see it!

Just got back from an AMAZING afternoon here! Despite being busy on a rainy half term Tuesday we were made to feel very welcome by all the volunteers and we were very happy to give a donation on entry.
The whole building is stuffed full of fascinating specimens from all over the world - an absolute treasure trove.
Highlight of the kids’ visit was being able to see and handle some creatures kindly brought in and managed by their owners - all of whom were extremely patient!

We had a brilliant first visit! We were able get up close to live insects and reptiles. Holding snakes, stuck insects, millipede and a bearded dragon! The volunteers were encouraging, passionate, and willing to answer questions. A highlight for my son was a python curling up in his hoodie and settling in around his neck! What started as tentative snake holding became confidence and excitement. We’ll be back to explore some more.

Visited the soft play today with my son and friends.My son was hit in the back of the neck intentionally a few times with a high powered ball jet by an older boy.He has additional needs and was beside himself,took a while to calm him down then he didn't want to go back and play.He eventually did but wanted me to go with him.My friends daughter also got hurt by them and another young girl who was sat near us.Another girl got hit on the nose and it caused a nose bleed!!The manager did have 'a word' with the group of 3 10 -12 year old boys who were doing this but they were not asked to leave.Apparently they go there regularly and are known for doing this and why were they allowed admission without parental supervision?Quite a few children all younger than these boys were hurt by them in the 90 mins we were there.In the absence of a responsible adult you would have thought the leisure centre would have stepped up and refused entry without a parent and also as it wasn't the first occasion they have hurt others.Also letting them stay without a parent there and knowing they had hurt quite a few children?!My son doesn't want to go back now.There was also a leaky ceiling with buckets and wet patches and only 1 of the 2 toilets had a working lock.Not great for £7.50!The poor management really did affect our day out.

This review is for the soft play. It is not worth the money and is not safe if you have a child under 3. While it is advertised that they have facilities for under 3s, the area is very small. Also, there is no staff attendant to help enforce the age restrictions. Went to the fairy festival in Burley, which was lovely for the children. But Also had a walk around the village and some lunch in one of the pubs. The quaint little village was lovely, with the witches cottage, the quaint little shops and the commoning free roaming animals all add to the atmosphere. This is a truly magical place. We went when the Fairy festival was on which is a great event with lots to do. You can also exit the festival to venture into Burley village and see the wonderful gift shops before heading back across to the festival.
There is a circus show and kids can play, make wands. Slime and there are plenty of stories and show to keep you going all the way to the end. The 2 days do have different themes if you are looking for one day only.

The village is unique and charming but far too small for how busy it gets. It was heaving with families with little kids but the roads running through it are quite busy and the traffic can be quite fast. The pavements are mostly 1.5 persons wide which made walking around frustrating.
I loved the witch themed shops, they are super unique, but unfortunately they mostly sell tat. Some of it is so bad that it’s actually come back around to be kind of funny and awesome, like goblets with 3d wolf faces carved into them, so they are not completely without merit. A charming little town but I was finished with it after about 1-2 hours.

I can't remember the last time I have been so impressed by a place. The whole coastline from Alum Bay to Compton Bay is such an impressive place in this beautiful world. I have bee there twice during my last holidays. The first time it was raining, not very heavily but it was extremely windy. So I was the only soul that was walking from the Needles to Freshwater Bay. Its s a beautiful walk you should do when visiting the Isle of Wight. On the first day the clouds were hanging so low, that the Tennyson Monument was fading in the clouds the closer I got. The clouds were blown up the cliffs, it was an amazing feeling of freedom that overcame myself that I will surely never forget.

One of my favourite walks. Stunning views as you wander across the cliffs. The hills can be steeper than they look so wear good footwear. We visited here for the first time during summer holidays whilst we were down. We decided to go on a Saturday night. The venue is clean and bright and very attractive. It had a wide range of arcade games and activities and my two little ones had a great time. They have cards you can buy and load credit onto which also stores the tickets on for claiming prizes at the end in the prize store. They had a wide range of prizes some were reasonable number of tickets but some other small bits were wanting much more than what it may have been worth which was a little off putting especially when your child points out something they see they like and you have to disappoint them and say sorry we don't have over 3000 tickets for a small gun. But other than that there was a lovely friendly and very kind and helpful young lady behind the counter who helped me and explained everything clearly and was also happy to help me to change something that we won which was broken to avoid my son being disappointed. We manage to play a good number of games and my children were happy. We would definitely visit again whenever we decide to go to Bournemouth again.

Had our first visit to Bowl Central today. Staff were helpful and informative over the phone, and then kindly adjusted our pre booked time as we were running late and they had availability to postpone us by 45 minutes. We really appreciated that. The lanes and balls were all very new and clean, with music and lighting. Staff attentive. It's quite a compact set up compared to other alleys but we enjoyed it nonetheless. The arcade part is a little confusing as there aren't any clear prices on the games, and you play with a prepaid card, and it isn't entirely clear that you won't get tickets and prizes unless you opt for a certain type of prepaid card. It kinda takes the fun out of it a little, but overall a really great experience and we would definitely come back. Thank you.

Visited Bournemouth for my daughter's 9th birthday and glad we found this place! We went to the arcade by the pier initially but it was dirty. Then we found this gem. The staff were very friendly and helpful when I had questions and issues with machines. We both had a blast at the arcade here but my daughter left her prizes in the bathroom! It’s a great little bowling alley, much better than the bigger ones.
The arcade is great too (big arcade fan) and I really like the card system they have which I haven’t seen before outside of TikTok…
However, you need to top the card up with £10 to get the ‘bonus credits’ otherwise you don’t get enough to do an even number of games without having credits left over (I can’t remember the exact numbers but it definitely works out this way depending on the machine you play). It’s something like 11 credits for a good number of the machines and you only get 50 credits for £5 or conveniently 110 credits for £10.
Can’t really moan about the prices too much as it works out to around £1 for most of the games like most arcades.
They also need better / more prizes, some for adults too maybe. We like arcades too 😂

I went with a group of friends, us all 16, who wanted a relaxing week to celebrate exams and the end of secondary school. We had an amazing time and really enjoyed the campsite and surrounding areas; we went on a long walk through the forest and took some great photos.

Fantastic stay! Lovely, clean site with a shop that sells everything you could possibly need, (I bought a spare sleeping bag there) including milk, food and essentials. If you’d forgotten everything, you would probably be fine! Great site with excellent facilities and good sized pitches. The new play areas are good quality, safe and away from moving cars and offer plenty to do for the kids both on-site and just off site. The shower block is immaculate and has plenty of hot water. The staff are friendly and helpful and the on-site shop was well stocked. We’ve been visiting Red Shoot Camping Park for years, and in our opinion, it’s simply unbeatable.
The campsite itself is always in excellent condition – clean, well-organised, and peaceful. The showers are spotless with reliable hot water, and there are plenty of them so you’re never waiting. The pitches are spacious, which means you’ve got plenty of room to relax without feeling crammed in. The staff are always warm, welcoming, and more than happy to help with anything you need.
The location is just stunning. My husband and I are both keen mountain bikers, and Red Shoot is perfectly placed with direct access to some brilliant trails through the New Forest. After a day out on the bikes, it’s a real treat to have some lovely local pubs nearby to refuel and relax.
We’ve also been several times with our children, and they absolutely love it. They’re always fascinated by the New Forest ponies and donkeys that roam freely nearby – it’s such a unique experience for them and adds a real touch of magic to the trip.
I honestly can’t speak highly enough of this campsite or the people who run it. Whether you’re after adventure, peace and quiet, or a fun family getaway, Red Shoot ticks every box.

We’ve visited this centre twice with the kids. Once for a friend’s birthday party, and another time on a rainy day while exploring Bournemouth. Both times we had an amazing experience! We played online games with VR headsets, and the kids loved jumping around on the new interactive floor – something they’ve never experienced before.
We also really liked that during the birthday party, there was no need to go anywhere else for cake – you can rent a party space right there. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Amazing venue for a party. We can for my son’s 9th Birthday with 10 of his friends and also booked the party room. They had an incredible time and all thought it was the coolest place ever! We visited the Centre VR as a family to celebrate my birthday. It was a totally new experience for all 5 of us, but one which we thoroughly enjoyed. The staff were extremely helpful, they explained how the game and controls worked, and were on hand to help with any difficulties. We took our 6 year old, and played a family group game called Jungle Quest - it took the boy a little while to get comfortable with the controls, but once he did he loved it. We all did. I organised a double stag day out last weekend. I chose the Centre VR as one of the activities being that NOONE on either of the 2 stag groups had done anything like it so it really was a completely new experience.
We are an older group varying from 45-57, so none of us really knew what to expect in this virtual world.
The staff and customer service was great, however being 2 groups of completely inexperienced people, it would have been extremely beneficial if there had been maybe a short tutorial during the first game with an instructer in the game with us. Several of us took up to 3 games before we figured out how to move around and sadly one of the stags gave up out of frustration about half way through because noone had spent enough time with him walking him through it step by step.
That aside everyone thoroughly enjoyed the experience and hopefully some will be back.

We visited on a Saturday and had a fabulous time. It was our first time visiting so didn’t know what to expect and we were not disappointed! It was a lovely bright, clean space. Not too busy with plenty of space for the children to play, the air con was lovely! The attention to detail in the role play village was amazing, every shop was kitted out and there was a theme on this day of ‘recycling’. Our son had the best time with the interactive Performance and songs, which were really entertaining but equally not too full on so the older kids were getting involved with the dancing and challenges and the little ones could crawl around and play too and be part of it. Chris and the staff were lovely, he introduced himself and made us feel very welcome, chatting to everyone. We loved the performer, in between the songs she spent time playing with the children in character and reinforcing the story! The iced teas (and multiple snacks!) were fab. It was amazing to see children of all ages completely immersed in the imaginative play. We’re not local to Bournemouth, but come down a few times a year to visit family, and are always looking for things to keep our young kids busy while here.
Discovery Village is brilliant! Really well put together, with lots of different areas to play in. I really liked the inclusion of a children’s entertainer to keep the kids engaged - not something I’ve ever seen in similar role play places.

We visited discovery village whilst on our holidays! What an amazing place the staff are all very attentive and the village itself is fantastic. There was a play vet, salon, post office, farm shop, fire station, school, pizza restaurant and theatre. I goggled things to do in the area as the weather was wet and we were camping the price was very very reasonable. We used Discovery Village for my daughters party. From the start the team were excellent and getting everything sorted and answering our questions. The village is so clean and nothing looks tired, its just beautiful! The layout is lovely and allows the kids to play safely while parents relax off to the side but can still see them having fun. It felt safe and cosy in there. The actress who lead the play was fantastic and the activity had good breaks so the kids had time for independent play. The party food was lovely without being wasteful and was healthy with no junk! The little baskets and fairy lights were a nice touch and it felt very eco friendly which matters to us. The team were efficient and polite. They also gave our daughter a birthday gift which was very sweet.
Also as someone who hates noisy kids places the sound in here somehow is minimal so its not overwhelming at all!

I drove past yesterday to find out there is some sort of river works ongoing perhaps to improve flood control. These pictures were from years back to remind all of how beautiful and pristine the reserve was. I enjoyed quite a many walks in solitude at the reserve in 2019 and 2020.

Went to Bournemouth to visit the winter wonderland Christmas lights.happy atmosphere was very busy as expected. lights look great and just really good buzz around Bournemouthgardens
. Really nice refreshment place at the top of the gardens close to the bird house, can find some parking on Westover Road.
The food in the square is low below average, slow to be served and expensive, the whole ood process could be improved and inpacts on the whole experience,
The kids love the lights, just wrap up warm.

Wonderful green space in the centre of Bournemouth. It is tranquil and pretty with well maintained plants, shrubs and trees. Lots of benches to rest. We bought ice creams from Tesco local (right my the entrance to the gardens) and chilled before heading towards the beach.
As you go through the lower section of the gardens towards the beach there are maintained public toilets, a mini golf and several outlets for donuts, drinks etc.
It is a great please for a walk.

Such a shame as it’s now a very poor mini golf course in Boscombe. Not maintained regularly enough. Every hole covered in leaves and tree debris and with added bonus of decomposing dead rat :( need to really improve if they expect people to pay the high charges to use course. Staff did not like to hear our feedback when we spoke to them.
