I believe they must of been weathered or dismantled as I could not locate even one. Discovering some beautiful trees was well worth the long walk through the temperate rain forest. There are lots of giant stumps,uprooted fallen trees, a natural creek habitat, mountain bike trails and plenty of singing birds. There is a picnic area ,swimming pool and an off leash park for dogs. There is also a Frisbee course throughout the forest and park that seems to be quite popular. It looks like a fun way to spend the afternoon.

Many of the resi streets also have parking. Off Marine Way, you can park in the area of Byrnepark Drive and Southwynde Avenue. From there the perimeter trail leads up to Edmonds Metro station. Then circle around and walk west to Ron McLean Park (which has washrooms). At Hedley Avenue and Portland Street, continue south on Bank Street. The tennis court is where the trail starts up again. We were so happy to find the stairs that take you down. While the upper trail mixes nature sounds with the skytrain, once in the ravine you will have just nature and running water sounds.
