While the food continues to be amazing, the young hostess made our visit more than unforgettable in a bad way. She was extremely rude and when we told her the other members of the party had a major issue and have been calling multiple times but she wasn’t answering, she laughed and told us they could no longer save our table, even though two of us were present and willing to sit down and begin ordering for the group. This was after we had already said we were going to sit down and start ordering for the group. She was extremely rude (and on quite a power trip for being so young). Luckily I found a manager to speak to who was more than accommodating. I would recommend better training your hostess. On a positive note, the lobster pasta was amazing however due to this poor experience, we will not be returning.

Yes, it’s a restaurant inside a hotel but don’t let that deter you. SoDel does an amazing job with every one of their restaurant concepts. The food here is just amazing! Highly recommend the Chicken Parmesan. My wife is a fan of their Cacio e Pepe. There are several other dishes we have tried and all of them are great. The wait staff here is always very friendly and helpful. Some of them I know from around town and they are genuinely nice people. Can’t say enough about them. The restaurant isn’t super large so making a reservation is highly recommended although walk-ins are accepted. It can sometimes get a little loud in the restaurant at times so if you were looking for a quiet spot this is probably not going work. That isn’t to say they are blaring rock music from the speakers, but a full restaurant of people chatting can get a little loud. Again, we love this restaurant and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good Italian meal.

I had time for only a fast walk within a few square blocks of the gazebo on the boardwalk, but I was able to check out the charming Penny Lane shops and buy some items there, stop in to a couple of hotels with parking for future reference, and shop the boardwalk for bubble tea, fudge, and garden banners--all at different shops. The public restrooms building near the gazebo was open and clean. The lady attendant who keeps it that way told me that she had been a steady employee there for 17 years. Everyone I encountered was friendly and a strong booster for this lovely beach town. I definitely plan on returning to Rehobeth and experiencing the enjoyable vibe some more.

However, it must be under new management because the service has fell off a cliff. We went on August 17, 2025 for lunch (myself, my wife and son, and my father). We were promptly seated and then we waited for some time. The waitress came and took our drink order. She accidentally brought my wife a virgin version of the beverage she'd ordered. We waited some more, quite a long time (and the restaurant had few people in it at the time). She corrected my wife's drink eventually, but left the old drink on the table AND NEVER REFILLED OUR WATER OR DRINKS AGAIN. After some time had passed, I ordered an appetizer (shrimp cocktail) and four entrees. The entrees came out and I had to ask a manager to bring us the tuna spread and crackers they normally provide with service. Our meals came out and I had to snag ANOTHER employee to inform them that we never received our appetizer (cold shrimp, so it couldn't have taken 45 minutes to prepare). We ate our entire meals without the waitress ever coming over. We waited, and flagged her down for the check. We waited perhaps another 15-20 minutes, until my wife walked across the restaurant, over to the register, and informed the waitress that we were ready to pay. The selection of books and trinkets is really fun and came highly recommended. They have a great Taylor Swift section! And most ppl have never heard of it so while it can be busy at time, it’s not overcrowded like the beaches of Ocean City MD and the main beaches of Rehoboth DE. The fee is vary reasonable: $5 for in state tags and $10 for OOS tags…per day. You can pay with cash or credit card. That pass will get you into almost any De State Park, be that ocean side or bay side for that day so you could pay the fee then go see nearly all of them. Gordon’s Pond comes complete with beach access/ocean side, a pavilion with picnic tables to eat at or have a party, a large grill out near the pavilion, chair and umbrella rentals (separate fee), a trail you want walk or bike around Gordon’s Pond, plenty of free parking, and all the sand and ocean you could ever want not to mention some gorgeous rocks in the form of a jetty that are perfect just before sunset for that beautiful family photo on the beach you’ve always dreamt of. While they do not have permanent bathrooms or a bathhouse at this location, there are porta potties (the cleanest smelling you’ll ever use). This location does sometimes fill up (mid day on really nice and holiday weekends) and when it does they will either turn you away or allow you to wait but in that case it’s one car out, one car in. You must bring all your own food in with you and it is a leave no trace facility so you have to take all of your trash out with you and dispose of it outside of the park. They do provide brown paper bags at each entrance to the beach free of charge for you to collect your trash in but you must still carry it out with you. Every beach entrance has an easy to use dune mat that lays on top of the sand and goes over the dune making the walk from parking lot to beach a cake walk. And for anyone wondering, those dune walks are pretty short. All of the shops and restaurants of downtown Rehoboth Beach are a mere few minutes drive if you so desire.
