Went here on a Sunday evening when it was really quiet and there were no other groups. Very friendly staff, operated by two guys, one who is fluent in English. The firsy telescope showed me the Scorpio constellation and Star cluster of NGC 6231, as well as the Alpha Centauri triple star system. The second telescope showed me the rings of Saturn and surface of the moon. The Moon being out made for less than ideal conditions due to the brightness but it was still well worth it. The guys running it know their stuff and taught me well with a really solid presentation. Highly recommended if stopping by Chivay for a night.

I couldn't be more happier with the experience that just happened to be right outside my hotel (Pozo del Cielo)! Coming from North America it was awesome to see the Southern Cross, Centaur, a circle nebula and more. The guide kept it short, sweet and simple as we checked out the closest star Alpha Centuri to Saturn. You literally walk in, pay at the desk, get a ticket and they even provided blankets since it's their winter so about 0 degrees. All in all about $15USD for a wonderful experience.
