Not quite sure how this has happened but wow…… Reservations are strongly recommended. We reserved a few weeks back and got a window seat Creekside within the first 10 minutes of being there a black bear came down and walked the creek as seen in the photos in the short video. The salad bar was very heavily variety. I can honestly say that the smoked oysters and anchovies were the freshest I’ve ever had anywhere. The waitress and the staff was very friendly everything including the staff was very clean and in order and organized. The bathrooms are so clean you could eat in them. I ordered a 12 ounce ribeye medium, and the Wife ordered a 14 ounce New York strip medium. Let me tell you and all the reviews I’ve ever done which is very quite extensive over 10 states and probably 150 different restaurants or steakhouses. These are by far the best steaks I have ever eaten. If Gordon Ramsay was eating at the peddler, he would clap. This is a true gem and I cannot wait till next year to come back and revisit it again. PS I am trying to get reservations again before we leave. Fingers crossed. Bravo to the management and staff of the Pedaler truly, this was the most favorite restaurant in Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge area.

We LOVED every part of our meal here. The salad bar was amazing and had so many choices! I overfilled my salad a couple times, but it’s hard not to when you like so many of the toppings offered! The 12 ounce ribeye was the best steak I’ve ever had! It was cooked perfectly and had such good flavor! Every one in my family absolutely loved their meals as well. Adreonna our server was attentive, quick, and so nice! She made our first time visit here great. The atmosphere is very cozy, warm, and charming. We started off with the spinach and artichoke dip which was great! The garlic bread with butter we received was also delicious! This meal did not even come close. We were sat and over an 1 hour later we received our food. Both of my boys fries were luke warm to be generous. Warning: if you order the "kids" lemonade you get "free" refills, however if you order the "adult" lemonade you pay 2 dollars for refills. So..... order a kids and beat the system. We've never had this good of service at any restaurant. The food was cooked perfect! The salad bar is a must! There was a huge selection of salad toppings and dressings. While I had a drink at the bar watching the Ala-Ok game, we were pleasantly surprised when our wait time ended up being closer to 30 mins. While the bartender was very friendly and efficient making my drink, I was disappointed in paying 10.00 for a drink that came in basically a large shot glass, had partially melted ice and tasted like all coke and no bourbon, the service was very fast even though the bar was crowded. Once seated, our waiter Keith took our drink orders as well as explained a bit of the menu. Kudos to Keith...very friendly, professional and made sure we were taken care of. His service was definitely a highlight of the evening and he should be commended for his efforts. Our salads arrived quickly...we both had a mixed green salad, mine with Bleu Cheese and wife had Ranch. Both salads and dressing were very good. Personally I recommend the Bleu cheese...really good! Shortly afterwards our entrée selections arrived. I had the 8 oz filet ordered medium with mashed garlic potatos while Steph had the New York strip ordered medium. While both steaks were exceptionally tender, both were also lacking flavor. Neither steak was bad, but I expected more flavor from a wood fired filet and Steph had to actually add salt to her strip for flavor. Neither was bad, just not what the hype led us to believe we would be receiving. Her baked potato and my mashed potatos, while good, were nothing special. Dinner rolls were good, but really about like purchasing bag rolls from your local grocery. Meal was just ok, but not what we are accustomed to for a high end steak house. While we would probably choose another steak house in Gatlinburg, this was not a terrible experience and again, the service was outstanding. Atmosphere: Great theming throughout. Loved the Texan feel. The a/c however was not working properly. It was really stuffy for our entire meal. The ambiance from outside to inside was purely blissful. We went right in the sweet spot between late lunch and start of dinner. We had the entire restaurant to ourselves for a while. We try to patronize the places off the beaten path, away from the hustle and bustle. We chose to dine at Crystelle Creek Restaurant and upon arriving, we were immediately seated next to a window. Still not bad but where we were seated, there appeared to be, what I can assume, an old vent that had been blocked off with wood and my chair kept rolling into it, preventing me from moving my chair as I liked. Still, not terrible, just a minor inconvenience. We ordered the Appalachian Smoked chicken, a salad, and a baked potato for the wife and I to share. The chicken and salad were great. The thousand island dressing is made in house and I promise you wont find better in Gatlinburg! The baked potato could use some work. Maybe season the outside of the skin with some sea salt or other seasoning before baking. Now, the deal breaker for me, and the reason for the negative review is.... this place is potentially stealing from customers. Let me explain. If you look at my pictures, you will see what the prices are on the menu. Notice the Appalachian smoked chicken is $23? I had a glass of wine too at $6.50/ glass. Whe the bill came, as you can see, its higher than the prices listed on the menu. When I brought this to the waitress attention, she said it was "tax". I asked how this could be if there is a separate line for tax further down. Her reply then was, "its Tennessee, thats just the way it is." She also didnt get a manager or anything as requested either to try and understand. This doesnt sit well with me. If there is a charge on the bill that isnt exactly what the menu price says, you should fix it. If you cant fix it, have an explanation for it instead of just saying, "Thats the way it is." It wasnt much higher than what the bill listed the price for, but thats not the point. If they do this on 200 different guest checks per day, how much money are they stealing from customers over the course of the year? I would not recommend this places simply because they are messing with your money. The food is ok, but the fact they upcharge you without explanation is shady business practice and needs to stop immediately! If management sees this and the want to provide a reasonable explanation, id be happy to update my review. Always watch your checks people! Take pictures of the menu before they take them away and compare it with that of your bill! Edit: Owner states its due to their point of sale system and claims the bill is higher when paying with a card vs paying cash. Many places have a policy where the price is more if you pay with a card to offset the fees of the credit card company. Here is the thing tho.... the waitress didnt know how I was paying, didnt ask if paying by cash or card, just brought me the check with the mismatching prices. Im familiar with how POS systems work, and of all the places in Gatlinburg that we have eaten at, yours was the only one different from what the menu said. Something is seriously amiss at Crystelle Creek Restaurant. I think they are stealing from the customers.... just be warned if you choose to eat here.

Howards i think is actaully worth the money and one of the better restaurants in downtown gatlinburg. The ambience/atmosphere was truly breathtaking. I was a little leery about coming here due to past reviews, but I’m so happy I did. Grace was our server and she was outstanding!! She gave great recommendations and was on top of everything. The food itself was absolutely amazing. They make the Caesar dressing in house and it’s the best Caesar salad I ever had. The fried green tomatoes are good, thick with crunchy breading. The bacon wrapped burnt ends were probably my favorite. The ribs were delicious as well, very tender and a great flavor. My family enjoyed everything, if we lived closer we’d be going here often.

I ordered the brisket & the burnt ends. Brisket was very tender & had a nice crust. I’m a huge fan beef tips in most places, but these hit a bit different with the bacon wrap. They weren’t the most tender but had a nice smoky flavor. For my one side I ordered the Mac & cheese which was pretty good but nothing special. I also ordered the smoked baked beens which the waitress forgot to bring so I ended up canceling after a little wait. The restaurant was clean and the outside entrance with the cool sign made me think it was going to be a new favorite place, but inside it was nothing special & felt fairly basic. I went with my girlfriend while vacationing. We had been to Gatlinburg before but it was a holiday and they were booked up. We got a reservation this time it did not disappoint. The lamb was also cooked perfectly and was good but we would have gotten the red snapper however they sold out. For desert was going to get the crème brûlée but another table got the last one before us. We were still very pleased with our delicious food and would definitely return. People around us got steaks which were all cooked perfectly, octopus, foie gras, and baked goat cheese app which all looked amazing.

We got the fried pickles to start with and they were fantastically fried crispy with a very good dipping sauce. Both drinks, the peach ale 🍺 and my stout were very good. No sign to wait to be seated so someone behind the counter stops you when you try to walk upstairs but not until you actually start going up. Then you’re told there is a wait and before you even sit down to wait you’re giving a ticket and told to go upstairs. This was a 1st time visit for me, I will definitely come back in the future. The staff was amazing, they explained how the experience worked and answered all of our questions. You're given a menu to select the meats you would like to sample. I believe they have a vegan option as well. My husband and I choose to sample all 16 meats...huge mistake on my part because I was full half way through. The lamb chops were my favorite.The meats are unlimited, you can try as many as you would like but keep in mind you can't take any of it home. So no taking home your leftovers. They also have a salad bar that you can help yourself to. The salad bar consist of pasta salads, garden salads, deviled eggs, charcuterie board items, lobster bisque and more. Excellent atmosphere, friendly staff and wonderful amazing food. (The best we’ve had). Our waitress was Kelsey and she was absolutely amazing. We tried the soup and sandwich combos. The triple club was perfect. The dressing added was the perfect addition to kick it up a notch. Great prices and great food. Our server was so sweet, I hate I didn’t remember her name. (She was young and had a septum ring). The fried pickles were so tasty and crisp. I had the half yard bird and it was delicious. I was so full I had to take half of it with me. Portions sizes are great. I had plenty to snack on later in my hotel. I love that they have ketchup, mayo, and mustard on the table (I’m a “mayo with my fries” person). Definitely skip the more “touristy” restaurants and go here. You get more bang for your buck, good service, and a great atmosphere with some very nice views. My only complaint is the Hellmans mayo (get Dukes lol)

We took our 9 year old daughter there for the first. She had a blast and loved it. The food was ok. It isn't my cup of tea. You honestly don't get a lot of food here. The Appalachian was highly rated by 2 of our friends and we completely understand why. Hubby ordered the Fried chicken skins drizzled with honey, which was so delicious and crispy and the serving size was very generous. I had the watermelon goat cheese salad which was so refreshing. My husband then had the Elk strip steak and I must say I’m not a red meat lover but the steak was so clean tasting and perfectly tender, I loved it too! I had the Rainbow trout which was also outstanding. We also loved the ability to be able to watch the chefs prepare the meals as it was all open and had some fun with them too. It was a nice touch also to have the head chef bring dessert to the table and describe the dessert. Those guys truly make art on plates with food. The restaurant itself is small and facing a running creek, so there's always a view and I doubt it ever gets very loud in there. Despite those two pluses, the actual draw is the food. We came for breakfast a few days before an anniversary dinner and it was wonderful, good price for the quality and didn't need a reservation. The dinner however was phenomenal; they offered a rabbit pot pie as a special side the evening we were there and it was heavenly, the venison was great and the lamb was wonderful. Everything was cooked and paired exceptionally well, and it's portioned so that you get plenty but don't leave feeling uncomfortably full. We were more than pleased with all aspects of this place and we're both shocked and glad this place doesn't seem constantly booked, because if we ate here sooner in our trip we're sure we would've been back. It's a must eat if you want anything other than pancakes and party food

The lunch menu was uninspiring and pricing is just ok. Ordered the T-bone medium rare and it was overcooked and thinly sliced. For a steakhouse, I was underwhelmed. The addon salad and hot bar was the best part of the meal. The salad bar was fresh and inviting the hot bar is just okay. I'm not quite sure why you would put baked potato on the menu for the steak then also have it on the hot bar. For a tourist destination, the value is below expectations for lunch. I Googled the reviews seemed all over the board so we decided to try for ourselves. What a mistake we ordered t bones ask for blacked or Cajun seasons got salads started to eat and here came steaks very very thin no seasoning only favor was like frozen old maybe .
