The attention to detail in every area of the interior decor is superb. The quality of the second floor bedroom my dad stayed in was beyond expectations with a spacious en suite and even has a slight sea view. Both Tim and Teresa, who run Oaklands, where beyond hospitable with some personal requests for my Dad's birthday and made us both feel at home, even though it was just my Dad staying. The snug/bar is excellent with it's honesty use and wide selection of beverages available it really is very cosy and relaxing. The breakfasts are outstanding and again the decor within the breakfast room is stunning. I've had many stays in various guesthouse within Weymouth over the years and this is by far one of the best. Nikki showed us to our room and it was absolutely beautiful, it smelt lovely and the cleanliness of the guest house is stunning. We got to see Pete the first morning at stones throw for our breakfast he was lovely and was always asking if we needed anything else any top ups of our drinks etc honestly it was absolutely lovely. Today was our last day and Nikki was making breakfast, she honestly is so lovely always made sure we had everything we needed and bought the dogs in before we left for a general chit chat with her and to have some time with the dogs it was lovely. The room was gorgeous and with all essentials provided, the food was delicious and the owners couldn't do more for their guests if they tried. When i hadn't put in a breakfast order for this morning, Nikki went out of her way to make and wrap up some food for the journey home and brought our drinks up to our room, something she absolutely did not have to do, but she very clearly loves what she does and puts her all into it! The lovely Nikki also went out of her way to write me a birthday card and had it ready on my table for breakfast on Sunday! The baked goods were divine, and the system for ordering breakfast or room top ups was very well thought. I couldn't fault a single thing during my stay. Also worth mentioning that the location is ideal for access to the local town, quite literally less than a minute walk. Nikki and Pete also went as far as to print a tonne of information about the area and provided copies in each room, including information on local restaurants, specifying those that cater to dietary requirements, taxi services, things to do and all contact information needed to book things in advance. Jonathan and Karen greeted us with smiles and everything we needed to know. We were given clear communication about the stay and the local area. Gloucester house is very clean , well laid out and spacious. It has a great feel to it . The room was perfect for us and they had even laid out balloons , banner and a bottle of processco as it was a birthday celebration. We all slept very well for a front facing beach stay it was quiet and warm. The bathroom touches (soap shower gel and shampoo was a very handy touch as was the fresh water biscuits tea an coffee , a fridge in the downstairs lounge is also available 24 hours a day with fresh milk. Breakfast was 10/ 10 ample choice and fresh produce. The help yourself bar had everything from pastries to fresh fruit and overnight oats. The juices were fresh and tasty. Coffee or tea offered as soon as we sat down. All in all round uo of the stay ... welcoming, knowledgeable and kind hosts , fantastic breakfast, clean accommodation and picturesque location. Gorgeous B&B, the decor is exquisite creating a beautiful cosy ambience. I especially loved the lanterns with flickering candles on the landings. The bed was SO comfortable, temperature of the room perfect, high spec and clean bathroom and there was even a heat mat for my hair straighteners on the dressing table (never seen detail like that!) We had a sea view which was stunning especially watching sunrise from the comfort of the bed. Breakfast was fabulous with a great variety. Most impressively was the service from Jonathan, Karen and their team, so welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. We recommend highly and this will definitely be our go to now when we visit Weymouth. Thank you.

We had an upgrade as a room with a balcony was available and they remembered us from a phone call during booking so were able to have a really personal touch to our check in (which was much earlier than anticipated - a real bonus). Nothing was too much trouble and we loved all the little touches in the room (toiletries, drinks and biscuits). The room itself was beautiful, as was the communal lounge. Breakfast lived up to it's award winning status. All in all, a fantastic stay. We'll be back!

It’s right on the seafront with wonderful balcony views from the rooms at the front. I stayed in a single room but the bed was large and comfortable. The optional breakfast was delicious, plentiful, good value and they happily supplied me with vegan options. Everything was spotless, clean, tidy and fresh throughout. The room itself was well presented and everything needed was supplied, the bed was very comfortable and we both had a lovely sleep . At breakfast we were greeted by Mandy the owner who is absolutely lovely and couldn’t do enough for us along with all the members of staff, we didn’t see Richard but he and his team provided us with an excellent full English both days it really was so good and cooked to perfection, there was also a range of other breakfast options available, toast, cereal fresh fruit etc. I should say the hotel is in a great location and although no parking on site it really wasn’t a problem with parking within less than 10 minutes away. Had a lovely stay here and couldn’t fault it in anyway, we highly recommend the Acqua Hotel and will definitely be returning ourselves thankyou Mandy, Richard and all the staff

We were recommended to stay here by a friend and we were not disappointed! Lisa gave us a lovely warm welcome and showed us to our room. We stayed in room 1 with the stunning bay window overlooking the beach. The breakfast was amazing and the cherry trifle on arrival was an extra special treat. The beach towels was a lovely touch so we could go for early morning dip before breakfast. We can’t fault our stay and can’t wait to come back again next year for our first anniversary. Keith and Lisa are lovely hosts. The room was spotless and big. It had 2 aspects. One overlooking the beautiful beach and one overlooking the harbour. Very comfortable bed fridge and large t.v. with Netflix thrown in for good measure. Breakfast is delivered in a basket every morning and is always different. From sold meats and cheeses to eggs benedict! My favourite was the sausage patty served on a portion of bubble and squeak and topped with melted cheese.😊. Also, plenty of homemade bread and preserves. Freshly squeezed fruit juices and lots of other bits and pieces. The beach is literally over the road and the harbour area is round the corner. Lots of good places to eat and Lisa and Keith can provide money off vouchers to some of them. Parking as usual was difficult, but not that difficult that we we've booked again for next year. The hotel itself is lovely. Very homely and full of character! We had a harbour view which was fantastic to look out to, day and night. The owners left some nice little extras which we enjoyed. We found it easy to find on the Sat nav. We arrived extremely tired, so were greatful to find the inviting large bed. There is some street parking and we didn't have any issue parking, although I do have a disabled badge. On arrival, Ali and Bill were awaiting us. They were extremely welcoming and made sure all our needs were met. We were shown to our stunning (Rhino) room. After reading reviews we were not disappointed. Everything you need is provided, along with a few extra luxuries/surprises. Our view was stunning. We had an extremely comfortable 2 nights stay. I am gluten free (coeliac), Ali is a top chef and the breakfast was totally amazing. My needs were catered for easily. If you have dietary requirements please advise beforehand. Tea was plentiful, juice, ice water, cereal, fruit along with a daily special and a good choice of hot breakfast made to order. Most food is locally sourced and top grade or home made. If you decide to stay here you won't regret your choice. Thankyou Ali and Bill, we hope to return again so we can explore the local area. We very much enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended.

What an absolute delight. Bill and Ali are excellent, attentive hosts. Ali prepares and cooks one of the best breakfasts we have had and offers a daily special. Bedroom was spacious, very clean, fabulous view directly onto the beach, which was only a few steps away from the front door. Hosts were very welcoming, and this property really benefitted from their personal touch, which makes this place stand out from the numerous bed and breakfasts that line this road. The bed was extremely comfortable, modern and fresh, we stayed in Stag and had plenty of room. The breakfasts were delightful and 3 courses! I enjoyed home made granola with yoghurt and fresh fruit, followed by a freshly baked croissant, home made jam and marmalade, orange juice and then a full English breakfast. Everything tasted wonderful, and shows that this place really is a notch above the rest. Many thanks to the chef 👌it really set us up wonderfully for the day (and the mushrooms!!!! Divine!!!) The daily homecooked choc chip cookies also went down very well, and were much appreciated. 😋 We swam in the sea opposite, walked to town and also up to Nothe Fort which was absolutely fascinating in particular the nuclear bunker. We ate at Mona's Thai restaurant which was delicious, enjoyed crevettes for lunch from the fishmongers next to Catch, and also enjoyed a lobster brioche roll from Catch. The hotel is very well located. There is no main road or traffic outside, which makes it very quiet and peaceful. We parked outside to unload and then parked our car at the Long Stay train station car park for around £3.20 a day. To get to the long stay you have to go to the actual address which is 2 Jubilee Close, so go past the McDonald's roundabiut and the B & Q and you'll get to a large car park which could probably house 100 cars, then pay via the RingGo app. (tip - you cannot get there from the normal train station short stay car park, we tried but it's not possible. You must go all the way around) Weymouth is a large and well set up seaside town, and our experience was perfected by our superb stay here. We very much enjoyed our stay here and we were made to feel welcome every day of our stay. The location is ideal and within walking distance to the beach and shops . Breakfast portions in the morning were very generous 😁 Would of given it 5 stars but we couldn't get the wifi to work in our room . Our room was nice and quiet with fresh milk as you need it. The location is great the beach is only a 15 minute walk but there's a bus stop just outside if you need. This is the second time we've stayed here and we look forward to coming again in the future.

Beautiful ground floor room with patio doors leading to the garden. Very tasty freshly cooked breakfast with the best poached eggs I have had in a long time. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts and Mary went above and beyond offering to wash my husbands shirt after an incident with a low flying seagull. Our room opened out through patio doors into the garden where there was lots of seating for enjoying a tea in the sunshine. Great breakfast, with veggie options and lots of tea or coffee. Becca was great waiting on the tables and nothing was too much trouble. Lovely rooms, immaculately clean and very well appointed. Thoroughly recommended.
