Unfortunately, the third-party vendor they use for menswear rentals was an absolute disaster for us. Out of the five rental suits we ordered, only one arrived without any issues. Despite everyone being professionally measured (including two measurements done at NY Bride & Groom), we received jackets with very visible stains and torn seams, multiple suits that were far too small, and another with a defective dress shirt. One groomsman lived three hours away and we told the employee, when placing the order, that we would have him ship his suit to our house. The employee didn’t advise against this so when the suits arrived for other groomsman with so many issues, we had to take time off work to drive the suit 3 hours to ensure it fit... an unnecessary and stressful hurdle during wedding week. While the staff in-store remained kind and apologetic throughout, no additional assistance or solutions were offered beyond reordering. Thankfully, after reordering three new suits, they arrived just in time and everything ultimately worked out. We wanted to love this experience, especially with so many people recommending NY Bride & Groom, but based on our experience, we cannot recommend their men’s suit rental section unless they switch to a more reliable vendor.

So I guess you get what you get.. can't complain or return anything but for some reason I expected a better product from Raleigh. So I'm left with a bad taste in my mouth and won't be able to return to them to buy anything new. At the very least I strongly discourage anyone from doing the sample roulette sale. It was my first time in the shop, but I knew their previous location not too far from the current. Overall I felt the goods, while curated very thoughtfully were overall disappointing. I saw a garment with several snags and hanging threads.  Although described as "designer" I didn't see many brands that were. Record stores don't usually do returns on used records, so it's good to check before you purchase. Especially since I'm one of the 50% of people that actually own a player to play their records on. Could also get an rt 82 for $300 and upgrade later to an 85. Like most proper turntables; they have no amp built-in, so you'll need to provide one. I like the Art accessories Dj pre amp 2. It punches well above it's $65 price point. All you'll need then is a static brush and some inner and outer sleeves. Also possibility a wet brush to clean extra dirty records. Thanks to whoever took the time to make it this far and having an interest in a local record store. I know this review went on for a long while. I'm glad vinyl has come back and other people want to support a local record store. As you'll discover; a lot of times the older records were mastered better and give better sound over their streaming counter parts. You don't need to get too caught up in having only original pressing though. For $25 I got a new copy of Led Zeppelin 4th album and I think it sounds pretty good. Definitely better than on Spotify. Thanks again to Sorry State Records for providng good quality records even for the low dollar ones. As an added bonus don't stack records straight up and down. In case you weren't already aware this causes records to warp and stylus do not like tracking warped records. Some can play just fine and other have been warped too far. And from personal experience I now exclusive use them for all my cocktails. Grapefruit & Pepper, Oak & Lavender, these are two of my favorites. I've also now been to two of their cocktail classes. If you want some preppy gold jewelry, a unique candle, or interesting skincare items (that aren't actually local), then this could be a fun place for you to browse.
