This is my worst experience of staying .When I came back from Ocean Road, I found a pile of empty wine bottles and empty biscuit bags on the top of barcount ,immediately I reported to the service center. They said they would deal with it the next morning. The next morning, they asked me to send them the photos. I sent an email with photos. They said they could compensate me for the accommodation discount or free breakfast. I didn't agree. Because I want to know what's going on, I'm worried that someone will enter my room during the day. In the evening, I asked the lobby manager. The manager called the room cleaning staff to explain to me,but didn't get through, saying that it would be dealt with tomorrow morning. The location was perfect which is an easy walk to everything includes shopping, restaurants, and museums. The room was in a great size and the bed was comfortable. The TV was smart TV which is able to Chrome chast to the smart devices. The lobby was on 1 st floor not ground floor. The pool was at 3rd floor which is a long pool with a nice size of gym and sauna. The valet parking staff was very helpful. Unfortunately they do not have a club lounge for the Marriott Bonvoy member. Overall, an amazing stay in town.

The front staff were great (Julie and the other person I didnt get his name) very helpful and friendly. The room was terrific, the price was good and location great. The pool though when the walkway is wet is extremely dangerous. It has a slate like surface which is like walking on ice when wet. With barefoot I found it almost impossible to walk on without slipping over. My wife and 2 year old slipped over and hurt themselves. I almost did but for a miracle save. It also has a concrete seat along the wall with an edge that would cause serious injury if someone slipped and hit that on the way down. I lodged an incident report and they assured me they would look into it. They need rubber bubble type flooring like most pools. This is a major accident waiting to happen so please dont brush this one under the carpet guys. You need to do something, it shouldn't cost much to make it safe.

The good points, room very nice, small though and with not alot of room. The couch was not very comfortable, The TV had a smart TV remote but the smart did not work The freezer never froze anything. The drapes did not cover whole window in lounge/dining area. No view, other than looking at 100 apartments directly opposite our room, which became quite entertaining at night, when no one drew their drapes. The noise was almost unbearable at night, for a tiny dead end street, cars in and out every night with their doof doof stereos blasting so loud it would keep us awake. People screaming and yahooing all hours of the night keeping us awake, it was a very noisy area, most of the day and night. Then lastly the hair-dryer provided, the cord was that dam short we almost had to kiss the mirror for the dryer to reach our heads as it is screwed in to the wall in a cupboard in the bathroom with about 1 foot of cord. Would probably not stay again as it was too noisy for us every night. I have certainly stayed at better and more quiet in Melbourne and will not return to Sebel for accomodation.check in and check out staff were very pleasant.

It took an hour and I was visibly distressed and exhausted. My kids were losing it and they wouldn’t mind my big suitcases so I couldn’t go and use the nearby $15 parking I had planned so I had to use their parking which they then charged me $40 for and sent me away with my bags and 2 young kids to find my way through a maze of a carpark with no clear directions on how to get in other than ‘find a purple door’ every corner of every level had a ‘purple door’ eventually myslef and 3 other lost customers figured out which one was right but it had stairs so I then had to carry heavy suitcase down a flight of stairs to even get to the lift. The wifi was so bad it ruined our planned ‘movie night’ there were no robes or slippers or even towels in the pool area and the rooms were loud. The table was missing a chair so 4 of us couldn’t even sit and eat dinner together. By the time I had checked in and gotten to the room despite arriving at 4.15pm it was almost 6. Even with a discount from my membership with the Accor group I paid almost $400 for 1 night and instead of being a lovely treat for my family it was a stressful and exhausting disaster.

Dinner for a large group pre show was simple, with so many options to choose from at South Bank, parking underneath with easy lift access, front desk greeting from James personable and easy, and the 3BR suite in 2601 was beyond spacious and the almost 180 degree views of the city (south facing) was just as magnificant as a similar 3BR suite on the 25th floor East facing that we have previously stayed in. The mattress in the master suite was a bit uncomfortable, but we all benchmark this measure of comfort against our own private beds at home, so it was almost expected. I did like the check in online component, especially in this world of busy, that just made our 1 night stay go even smoother than last time. This is fast becoming my go-to accommodation for city stays. Staff were lovely as well. Location near a number of restaurants was ideal. It's just the little things that made it not a t star experience. You pay quite a considerable amount for the suite and then parking isn't included, breakfast isn't included. We stayed a Saturday night and nearly everything off the room order menu wasnt available as its their 'end of week', bar wasnt open during the day just after 5pm. It's a great place but not a 5 star hotel.

It was a two bedroom corner apartment. The view was great and the size of the apartment made you feel like we all had space. We had everything we needed. The bedrooms were a good size. Bathroom is a basic colour and design but functional. I would probably suggest a bit more colour and warmth in the rooms as they are very grey. The breakfast was a buffet with a fair choice but the coffee was cold. Our overall stay was great and the staff were really lovely and parking was a breeze. I will definitely return.

The walls had dirty spots all over, the fridge hadn't been cleaned out since the last guest (brocolli was clearly a favourite of those who last dared to stay here), the spray and wipe clearly ran out prior to cleaning out the shower and tub, and clearly the cleaners thought that anything that couldn't actually be seen (think inside of the kitchen drawers) magically had cleaned themselves. I complained at the front desk early the next morning to which I was promised a 'deep clean' would occur while I was out on business all day. Not too sure what the Mantra’s version of a deep clean is but pretty sure it wouldn't pass the Oxford dictionary definition. When I returned the broccoli remains had been cleared - but actually not fully - but little else had been addressed. Pros: 1. Great for testing your immune system. 2. Wi-Fi strong enough to Google “nearest sanitiser available' Cons: Everything else. Final rating One star, because the lights actually turned on - and I can't provide a 0. Meals were ok, nothing to brag about. Dessert mousse was still frozen, obviously hadn’t been out early enough from the freezer - again bought in. Couple also spoke about issues with communication for months on end and weren’t told about possible works happening around the Mansion. Luckily the photos will come out great where they were able to take them in the beautiful mansion and surroundings.

The attention to detail in the inclusions was very refreshing. Most hotels are still in "Covid austerity" mode making the rooms feel soulless and more like a "work in progress" as opposed to client ready. From the fully stocked mini-bar; coffee machine with espresso pods; the shoe-horn and clothes brush; the bottled water; the turn down service; iron and ironing board. The decor whilst not as modern as some other 5 star hotels was still very clean, neat and pleasing to the eye as opposed to feeling "outdated". What I didn't love: Unfortunately, while the bathroom doorframe and door were built to code, they were installed in such a way that my 780mm chair couldn't fit through the doorway. This was a real bummer (and caused me unnecessary pain), but I'm ambulatory enough that I could make it work. If your chair is similar in width to mine or wider I would call ahead and double check that it'll fit in the room you're considering. It should be an easy fix and I mentioned it to staff at the time so hopefully they've already addressed this- I'm hoping it was just a one off error. Also, if you're like me and like to bathe at odd hours, I strongly reccomend double checking that there's a plug for the bath before you transfer into the tub at 2am because oh my was I disappointed to have to crawl out and head for the shower instead🤦‍♀️

It has everything. Although i did not use the pool and gym this time during my stay, I am sure it's nice for a new building. Arrived in the room to find a large cluster of black hairs on one of the towels. Unacceptable. Complimentary coffee pod box was empty (pods were added the next day). There did not appear to be a WiFi system; I was not provided any details on it. Room was spacious and nicely set up, but dated with a fair amount of wear and tear. Blinds were malfunctioning. The lights system is frustrating, I couldn't figure out how to turn off a certain lamp while keeping another on, and on my first night the bathroom light randomly turned on in the middle of the night. Airconditioning is noisy. On a positive note, the bed was very comfortable. The location is fantastic, right in the middle of the city and close to the river. While the staff were friendly, they did not show a genuine interest in my stay and aside from the formalities the only interactions I had were them trying to upsell me additional services/membership. We stayed one night as we had appointments at the Alfred Hospital over 2 days. We were both tired so room service suited us. Meal was prompt and delicious. Bed was comfortable. Suggestions for improvement is heavier duty bed and adding a bidet. The single beds moved easily when sitting at the edge of the foot of the bed which is disconcerting. Addition of a bidet fitting to the toilet seat would improve comfort and reduce toilet paper usage. We love the homey atmosphere of the hotel with their inviting lounge...simply does not feel like a hotel at all but a holiday home. The staff are all friendly, helpful and enthusiastic which contributed to the feel good vibe of the hotel. The Lyall's location is ideal; you are enveloped in the leafy suburb of South Yarra and yet so close to shops, restaurants, Prahran Market, South Yarra train station and tram stop. The hotel has a restaurant cafe for residents and serves breakfast, lunch and drinks until 9pm. Residents can ask to be served water. We will return to The Lyall on our next visit to Melbourne.

A fabulous location, excellent young vibrant staff and the most amazing room. The property is beautiful and relaxing, with gorgeous views that make it feel like a proper escape. Breakfast was average but did not include coffee and every morning I had to ask for soy milk as there were no milk alternatives available. I also had to ask for this from the supplied coffee station for the conference despite dietary requirements being noted. When I did eventually ask for a coffee I was charged $7.26 for a very average flat white including a "service surcharge" despite the fact that I had paid for the buffet breakfast and was seated for breakfast at the time. The general appearance of the hotel/venue was poor. The conference venue was barely adequate and the bathrooms on this floor were dirty. The open linen cupboard on my floor was dirty as pictured and there were always linen skips sitting around blocking off mirrors or windows. This particular pictured skip moved once during my stay. When I pointed out these issues at checkout I was told to "feel free to write a review". Overall I have stayed in much more pleasant accommodation in Melbourne previously and will never stay here again. We arrived at around 4pm and it was exceptionally busy. After waiting some time in our car outside the entrance, and despite having paid for valet parking, I found a car park outside and carried our luggage to the valet desk to hand my keys in. I was asked whether we'd taken everything out of the car, but there was no offer to assist or welcome to Crown or anything like rhat. We then waited around 20-25 minutes with our bags in the queue to check in. We recently stayed at the Westin and Park Hyatt, and you never get that sort of queue in those genuine 5 star hotels. The receptionist that served us at check in was immediately rude - no welcome to Crown, or how was your day, or sorry for the wait - she just asked for our name and processed our arrival impersonally. I asked politely whether there was any flexibility for late check out given the time we'd spent waiting after arriving (probably 45 mins all up), and the receptionist snapped back that: everyone else has had to wait too; that she couldn't give a late check out to everyone in the line; and that others had arrived on time (3pm) for that reason. In other words, we were late so it's our fault. My wife and I were in shock, and just paid the extra money for late check out - we didn't want to ruin our anniversary by arguing. When we arrived in our room it was incredibly cold - I noticed that the thermostat was turned to the lowest setting. We were also really disappointed by the lack of cleanliness (the bathroom had built up grime, and the bed was dirty too). We've stayed at Crown Towers and Metropol on several occasions and always enjoyed our stay. This was so far below expectations on so many fronts that we'll stay elsewhere moving forward. From airport shuffle bus driver, to hotel staff, to comfy and roomy room and bed, one of the best shower pressure I’ve had, like a massage. Highly recommend the great service and room. I also love their blackout curtains which makes the room super dark making it easy to sleep. Came across Mantra and booked straight away as other hotels are fully booked. However when we reach, my booking wasnt found, and with the help of the receptionist Mike, noticed i booked the wrong month 🥲 And they were actually fully booked on that night. Mike quickly shared booking.com's direct number to check whether refund or change of date is possible. When we're in the midst of desperation, Mike and colleagues manage to find us a room and even offered a reasonable price, with a free upgraded room. The high street is architectural pristine with everything you need from local businesses within cooey. We are not accustomed to this type of luxury. This was our 4th time at an RACV resort (two at Torquay and now two at Healesville). Our first time at Healesville was during the pandemic and understandably, most of the resort was closed/restricted and hence it wasn't great. Over a weekend, I was surprised that there were very few staff. At breakfast (both mornings) we were greeted again as "guys" and while the reception person was pleasant, he was also the barista and part time waiter. There seemed to be only 2 other waiters in peak time. Oddly, we received a text message indicating the breakfast peak time and that we should "come at a different time" to avoid the rush. Tiana was amazing for the whole process and went above and beyond. Tiana was there for anything we needed and was always a pleasure to deal with. All our guests commented on how amazing the food and servers were, especially for dietary requirements. The decking area and ballroom were stunning and decorated beautifully and the ease at which the venue handled our vendors was seamless. Our only note for the whole process was the room location could have been planned a lot better but this was a small thing in comparison.

It was also disappointing to go to make a coffee and find no milk in the fridge. Without a supermarket nearby, I would think that a small shelf stable milk would be a very basic room supply in a 4 star hotel. The pool is heated and the spa was nice and warm. Buffet breakfast was very good. Make sure you book the night before to avoid paying more. $26 if booked the night before. Overall, a nice stay with lovely staff in a convenient location.

We were there on the weekend and the beds are so comfy, the reception staff so helpful, they changed our bed set up from a king to 2 x singles and made up the sofa bed for us as well.
