The look and feel of the hotel were amazing, light, coastal, and beautifully styled. The furniture and ambience created a relaxed atmosphere, especially with views over the three pools and out to the Esplanade. Our room was comfortable and suited our stay, though we would’ve preferred a double–double configuration. The shower was excellent. We had breakfast included at Paper Crane; it was good with lots of options, though not the best buffet breakfast we’ve had. The pool area was attractive but could feel crowded at times. We really enjoyed our time at Crystalbrook Riley and would definitely stay again on a return trip to Cairns. A few things to note, it was very busy so our room was not cleaned until late afternoon and we had to ask for the towels towels to be replaced during our stay, and the hallways could have been cleaned more regularly, as there were noticeable marks and dirt on the floors each day. It’s also not really my vibe when people drink in the pool, which was happening and did put me off a little. Like others have noted hard to get a sun lounge. That said, we enjoyed the beach-style pool with its sand entry.

Room wasn’t stocked properly, had to call and ask for things like robes etc. PSA to all parents, the cot offered is a portacot with NO mattress and the base was so low I couldn’t actually put her down as I was too short. It is a plastic board with a thin foam layer (like 1-2cm thick). We asked on the phone prior to booking if it was an actual cot with a mattress as our baby is only 5 months old and we needed a sleep safe set up and we were assured it was and we didn’t need to bring a mattress. When we got there it was definitely a toddler bed/play cot. We called and asked if that was the mattress we were promised and they said they would bring us one, and it ended up being a fluffy blanket they put over the base (which is a big suffocation risk). Bub ended up cosleeping with us as we both didn’t feel comfortable leaving her in the cot, especially as I couldn’t reach her. Definitely toddler friendly, but I wouldn’t bring a baby there again without an alternative set up! Staff were lovely though and did try and help! We were also in an accessible room which I wish we were told about prior as no shower glass made the entire bathroom wet and slippery while carrying a baby - had to mop up the floor after every shower, however when we booked we were told it was the last room so there wasn’t any other option! Upon arrival we were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a spa suite and the lovely anniversary note and drink vouchers were such thoughtful touches. The resort is stunning, especially the pool at night — one of the nicest in Cairns! The staff were friendly and accommodating, even giving us a later checkout since our flight was later in the day. If I could suggest one thing, it would be to add a guest shower option for those with late flights so you can enjoy the pool before heading off. Otherwise, everything was perfect — we can't wait to come back and stay again! Highly recommended!

The breakfast was the highlight of the stay. Lots of restaurant in house , but so many choices on the boardwalk. The rooms are tight and not enough storage for luggage, the TV was too complicated too operate and the green service detracted from the hotel with the hotel room door not locking. Amazing local on the boardwalk and lots of restaurants close by to add to the amenities. We like the on site parking no pass so we had to trouble the front desk.

They don’t provide bottle water but provide a glass bottle instead to ask you fill in outside the room, however it appears it is not cleaned after last person used, there are still water in there and it is not dried. I can’t believe what I seen. COVID -19 cleanness? On good notes, after my complaint, they sent me a brand new and unused bottle and cattle, fine. However, this was not the case at Lancemore Alamanda Palm Cove. It was the 2nd night of our 9 night stay in August. They broke in externally by climbing a palm tree to the outside balcony and jemmied the lock, stole our 3 year old grandson's birthday presents which were wrapped on the table for him to open that morning and over $1000 cash from a wallet On waking early that morning and discovering the sliding door partially opened, the presents and cash missing we called the police. It was extremely upsetting, especially when the police informed us that they had been in the exact same apartment a few months prior due to a break in where access was gained from the same palm tree and in fact the police stated that there was still finger print dust on the balcony from the previous time Furthermore, when staff members came up they were able to see that even when the sliding external doors were locked at the snib, they could be easily opened.. the police demonstrated the same thing. So not only was access to our upper floor apartment provided due to negligence of cutting down the tree but the locks were also faulty as confirmed by staff members and the police. In fact, we were provided an apartment at Lancemore Alamanda Palm Cove which had been previously been identified by police as insecure due to access by a large palm tree which had large branches too close to the balcony and faulty locks. This is not what we expected or deserved when staying at the prestigious Lancemore Alamanda Palm Cove. The manager came later that day as we had requested to see him to arrange a change of apartment or to ask if the tree branches could be cut down so as we could feel secure to sleep that night Kiley Drake, was apologetic but advised the tree was a body corporate issue and nothing could be done until Monday. It was a Saturday. No other rooms were available so we stayed another night in the same room with trepidations and not much sleep. We were moved to another room for the rest of our stay on Monday afternoon which enabled us to somewhat relax. Kiley said that he would put in a claim on our behalf to body corporate to retrieve the cash as requested by us. However, after several emails it has become clear that no one is taking any accountability. This experience has been very unsettling and the residual damage has been ongoing for us We did everything right, locked all the doors, yet were violated and robbed due to our apartment having a large palm tree close to the balcony which had provided access to a previous break in which Alamanda knew about. As the police stated, our experience could’ve been avoided if the tree had been cut down to negate access. Let this be a warning to anyone looking to stay here that like us, in good faith believed our apartment to be safe and secure.

I was taken with the original stone floors, the beautiful pools with the classic arches and the mid century style resort bungalows. The room itself was beautiful, comfortable with everything you need for a lovely stay. The property itself is breathtaking with the best views every morning at breakfast. The food was plentiful and delicious with many inclusions, you will never go hungry or thirsty. You could happily stay all day and night at the resort without the need to leave, if you so desire. Parking is provided, for adventurers and bicycles available for free. I wish I could say the same for our recent stay. There was no customer service. We had vouchers for two massages but couldn't get in because they were fully booked, eventhough I called and left a message way in advance. Every time I would walk past the spa the gate was closed. The restaurant was also disappointing. I had booked a table for breakfast but when we arrived there wasnt one available. Eventually they set up a table for us. It took over an hour to receive our coffee and we had to wait 2 hours to receive our food. We were the last ones left in the restaurant. Butler around the pool was non existent. Rooms are tired. It actually felt more like a retirement village than an Adults Retreat. I dont understand why it is part of Accor when you can't get any of its benefits. It definitely is not worth the money that they charge even with the '28 + inclusions'. It is way overpriced. The worst part about our stay is we recommended this hotel to our friends who joined us and they also had a terrible experience. I also have to mention that I called twice a week before our stay to speak to reservations. Both times they were unavailable and they did not return my call. Scrolling through the reviews, I have noticed that management only respond to 5 star reviews and don't bother with the rest. It just goes to show how unprofessional they are and that they obviously do not care about customer satisfaction. There is something seriously wrong with the way this hotel has been managed. It has deteriorated so much since our last stay! I am not sure how it has won so many Awards.

Firstly check-in, I arrived early. My plan was to drop my suitcase at reception and wait for my 2pm check in. Upon getting to our room, we found our room had a lovely view of the pool, an incredibly comfortable bed and all the amentities we could require, including a pool ring for our use at the pool! Coming from Melbourne we booked this trip for a winter getaway and was amazed with the resort and its facilities. Our 2 bedroom room was fantastic, made better with a rooftop including spa bath and BBQ facilities. Would highly recommend getting this type of accommodation as it gave us another great option when the weather got cooler late in the afternoon to still have a spa and BBQ. Breakfast was included and this made the mornings very easy knowing we didnt have to worry about what to cook and where to go. The food was great. With beach access as well, this was the perfect getaway for our young family of 4.

The service at the pool bar was good compared to the breakfast area, the staff are rude the food is horrible and cold by the time you get it. Takes about 30 minutes to get a coffee then another half an hour for food. Woke up up this morning and went for a quick walk to find empty schooner glasses floating in the lap pool, which highlights the overall standard and discipline of which the staff are held to. In summary. The rooms are dated but okay(serviced at all hours of the day 4pm on 1 occasion) The service overall is terrible. WiFi is non existent. The food is ordinary to say the least, had several meals ingredients were far from fresh, and al a always served luke warm or cold you get a better meal from a roadhouse in the middle of nowhere. On the positive side Palm Cove is a wonderful place, that has wonderful restaurants such as NuNu and Vivo. The Pullman Palm Cove does not deserve to be called a five star hotel, as it is far from. Would compare it to Fawlty towers,but that seems harsh on Fawlty towers.

Getaway on Grafton was the perfect accommodation for us. We booked 2 , two bedroom, two bathroom apartments which were alongside each other, and we had the pool outside our door. Kevin and his team helped me from my first phone call, till our check out. We couldn't fault the service or location which was an easy walk (approx25 minutes) to the main area of Cairns, or the bus is only a 2min walk from the apartments, and that takes you into the main area of Cairns. We also caught the bus into Palm Cove...all bus tickets are.50c so such a bargain to get around the area. We walked home at night and always felt safe and was very well lit. All in all, a great place to stay and I would highly recommend!! Thanks Kevin for making our trip memorable 🙃

Really liked the location and was close enough to walk to most places. There was plenty of parking available on-site and street parking so convenient if you have a vehicle as well. Loved the pool and was very clean. The kitchen was decent size so was good for cooking meals. The linen and towels were fresh andclean. There are a few negatives that we found while staying. The utensils in the kitchen were quiet old and could be replaced. The side table lamps were quiet dusty. The rooms had carpet and there was a fair bit of mould on it and in the bathrooms aswell, which made it a bit unpleasant. If those are replaced and maintained would give more star ratings and would make the experience even better!

We choose 2 rooms for 4 nights and the moment I walked in I spotted Mold in the bathroom and kettle Fungus Dust everywhere Old and broken electronics Horrid smell Terrible customer service no refund or other room. The second room experience multiple power outages just in their room and the pool was overdosed with clorine causing two of us to suffer pain in the eyes and blurry vision. There was no electrician sent no explanation for the power trip or how to fix it. just a employee to help open the broken sliding door. There was in fact black mould everywhere as seen in the photos. And if you look at other negative reviews the owner will lie and deny to keep his reputation. We didn't ask for a higher level room prior because we had no idea that these rooms are dirty and not cleaned at all. These photos were taken upon arrival and I will be adding more later Updated again - just reseting the switchboard was not enough to fix it as the lights kept turning off every 2 minutes. The reason we didn't complain to you was because we asked you to show up so we could show you all the things wrong with the apartment but you refused to come so we knew it would be pointless to complain or request anything as you would keep getting away with it this is why others gave up complaining and just dealt with mouldy apartments. We researched everything. You were an affordable good looking hotel at least online. However in-person the apartment was falling apart the table legs randomly fell out. You complain that we are trying to make you look bad? That doesn't make sense. If you had cleaned and maintained the properties then there would be nothing to complain about. Feels like I'm in a worse version of my own home and apartments have never made me feel like this. The main bathroom downstairs had no soap in it, and it does not have a lock?? That is terrible for a MAIN bathroom. Kitchen is nice. They have a large selection of books to read from. There is Air Conditioning and fans all over the apartment which is great. TV is not a smart TV. Balcony is very big and spacious, but the bedroom ones are small (besides the master bedroom) Living and Dining rooms are nice. Stairs are extremely dangerous with gaps between each step vertically. I hope the other rooms are not like this especially considering I saw a cat. Very dangerous for small pets. 2 lights were broken. Chair in the upstairs study area is uncomfortable. Upstairs has an even bigger large variety of books to read. Upstairs main area is nice and spacious with a large wardrobe with quilts/blankets/pillows. One bedroom has 2 single beds, and another has 1 big bed. Bathroom has a lock under the knob. Took forever to find it which is terrible like the main one. Beds are not very comfortable and same with the pillows, but this is normal for sleeping in places outside of your own home to be fair. Shower takes FOREVER to reach even the slightest warm. We had all 3 at different times on Max hot and no cold, never went to hot for like 10 minutes. And it is like a 5x5 computer screen, very little water lands on you. Unlike 64x64 screens if you understand my comparison. We got no body wash, just cheap hand soap. We did receive shampoo however. Bathroom has plenty of railings to hang your towels over. Main bedroom is really big and spacious with a small TV, a double shower ensuite with 2 sinks and very open, and a walk in robe. The walls are in poor condition however and the showers in here are as bad as in the main shower. Overall, not a very great experience with heaps to be improved and fixed. Especially considering we got upgraded for free, it was a beautiful apartment, but the maintenance and broken things with missing locks and terrible showers make it a poor experience. Service was good. Location was also pretty good as it is right outside the Cairns Central Shopping Mall. The pool is also beautiful, and the entire building including the parking lot is locked up securely to ensure only residents can get on the premises.

It was very spacious and clean even though some signs of being old existed it had been renovated nicely. The carpet was the best I’ve seen in a hotel for awhile. It was nice but a little tired so on the pricey side at $449 per night. As such I would not rate it as 5 star accommodation as advertised. Positives - The location, good balcony and view from the balcony, were fabulous. The staff were very helpful and always cheery. The pool and surrounds were superb. The apartment was well laid out and mostly clean (see below). The beds and pillows were super comfortable and it was really quiet at night for sleeping. The kitchen was well equipped and we loved the big fridge with its ice/water function. The large sofa in the living room was very comfy for relaxing. Negatives that let it down - Minor maintenance needed, for example - family bathroom: toilet roll holder was damaged and kept falling off the wall, mould spores kept appearing in basin so needed the cleaner to come and bleach around the plug, a small piece of vanity broken off, conditioner dispenser did not work and body lotion in a hand wash bottle to confuse. In the ensuite one of the double shower hoses was broken/leaked so could not use, luckily there was another. There was mould along bottom of both living room blinds (which I declined offer of block bleaching while we were in residence in case of fumes), minor stains on lounge chair, - some of them little details but if you advertise as 5 star! Minor maintenance would bring it up to expectation. For comparison to other 5 star accommodation in Australia and overseas - as a suggestion add a coffee plunger in the kitchen and a bottle of wine/bowl of fruit or nibbles as a welcome to 5 star. This review is not a complaint just honest and I hope it has been helpful to owners/management. Note: I also would have thought it was a requirement in Qld short term holiday rentals to have a fire blanket or fire extinguisher in the apartment with use/evacuation instruction clearly visible on the back of the exit door?

We enjoyed hours and hours of porch time staring at that beautiful view. The view from the bed is just as wonderful. The pool is great, nice size, just a bit cold while we were there but it was winter time. The parking garage is secured, as well as the entire property, we always felt safe there. The property management team were helpful, inviting and friendly. The one complaint would be the kitchen was dirty when we got there. The counters had food stuck to them, so I had to clean before we could use it. Also while the week we were there, I had to continually battle little tiny bugs all over the kitchen. The maid service mid week didn't seem to do much, besides change the bed sheets and replace towels, otherwise no sweeping or no taking out of trash. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to other travels.

Apon checking, the staff were so friendly to us, and made us feel right at home. Very simple and easy check in, you have your own private parking ramp as well at no extra charge. The room was spotless, clean, had a great layout and everything you could need to stay a few days or a month!
