You usually dont find Italian food of this quality outside of big cities. Everything we had was a 10 out of 10. The staff were all so welcoming, friendly, and attentive. The atmosphere is amazing. Possibly the best restaurant we've been to in the whole of the West Midlands. Already planning our next visit!

However, majorly disappointed and won't return. Worst Italian food we have ever had. Birthday meal completely ruined at Chiquitos Dudley due to bad service from Christian. This was supposed to be a nice meal for my partner to celebrate his birthday. The food itself was fine, however, upon finishing my meal, Christian cleared the plates and brought over the bill. I then asked Christian politely if I could use my blue light discount, as this was something I knew was available at this restaurant. This is when Christian’s whole persona switched and he became extremely rude, hostile and aggressive. He went on to rant about how he would have to reprint the receipt, which would look bad on him as this was monitored by his managers. I did not feel that this was appropriate, especially given that I did not ask for the bill in the first place, he brought it over unprovoked. He then accused me of being to blame if he gets put on a disciplinary, again which I did not feel was my doing simply for asking for my blue light discount. The menus were outdated and we needed to ask advice on just about everything. Further investigation reveals that some of them look a bit suspect with one even posting a picture of a different Le Raj. I haven't been here for around 25 years, for no reason other than I don't go into this part of Gornal very often and so it got overlooked. It would have been again but for Google. I chose it because it was thankfully air conditioned, offered BYOB as well licensed, local and the parking is not too bad either. We had a good time here, the staff are very friendly and the service attentive. The atmosphere was good too, quite busy and very much a locals place but having survived so long given the size of Gornal is testament to them. There was one overly loud table but there usually is. The mandatory (for us) poppadoms and chutney tray were nice, unusually featuring a tamarind dip, I guess mango chutney could be available if requested. We went straight into the mains which we really enjoyed, I had a very flavoursome Syleti Bhuna and the wife had an equally tasty balti which she said was 'gorgeous'. Both were very large portions but the chicken and chicken tikka in each was a fraction dry. The sides were very good, especially and unusually, so were the chips. The prices are reasonable with the specials at around £10.50. We won't be leaving it too long until our next visit.

Staff were helpful and friendly throughout our visit. The food was delicious, fresh and hot. We had multiple compliments from our staff on how good it was, with many saying they will return purely for the food. Sweet indulgence were perfect from start to finish! Planning the design could not of been easier, numbers and dietary restrictions were not a problem. I felt communicated with at every stage. The price was more than reasonable! The cake was delivered and I couldn’t have asked for a more friendly & professional service. The cake was absolutely stunning and my mom( who makes a lot of cakes herself) loved it. The taste of cake was beautiful and moist and plenty of people said it was the best cake they’d EVER had. The gluten free cupcakes matched the theme of the cake and again were moist and tasty with people whom had coeliac disease saying they hadn’t had better! Thank you so much, you have gained a customer for life and if anybody I know needs a cake I would 100% recommend sweet indulgence!
