So after a visit at the museum we book a table for go and have a nice meal with friends. Sadly I can’t give a five stars review because wasn’t the best experience eating there. As costumes you expect have a wonderful service when you go to eat out, because is not all the time that you go. I really don’t like write bad reviews about the places but I feel that us as costumes have to be important to the business. I can’t change one place only with what I said but I really don’t want that people have high expectations when go to one place, be ready in advance a you will feel les dissatisfied. One of the chef was not so friendly with us, I am not sure why, i went to the till to order drinks because I think that all the staff were busy, the lady behind the bar was really friendly, so thank you for her. And at the end we wants use our vouchers for can have best price, the lady look not so happy when we ask for this part. The food is always amazing, I can’t complain about the roast because the price is really great for the quality and flavour of the food. My husband booked on line for 6pm on Sunday hoping it would be a little quieter and it was. On arrival the member of staff thought it was a clever idea to try and mock us for requesting on line a possibility of a quieter area. He told us we could sit in the bar area if we wanted to as toby on a Sunday does not have a quieter table! We only made this request due to our autistic child. Upon being seated we were dived on by the server asking if we ready to order we had not even taken our coats off. She was very kind to give us a further 5 mins. We didn't realise that they do not serve the menu on a Sunday so a carvery it was. I can only be honest about the quality of the food. The Yorkshire pudding was inedible it was flat and chewy. The roast beef was inedible it was impossible to chew. The gammon was incredibly salty. Roast potatoes were were hard. Nothing other than the mac and cheese had and flavour at all. We thought the carvery area was untidy until I used the toilets, omg I appreciate that Sunday is possibly thier busiest day but that was disgusting. Having worked in this environment for a number of years it is the norm for at least a member of staff to pay passing attention to facilities particularly in some less busy times which this clearly was as at least half the tables in the restaurant were vacant and re-laid. The toilets were fully of discarded nappies, used toilet paper all over the floor including the corridor. It was impossible to find a clean toilet. My Son had not finished eating when we were approached by the server twice to ask if we had finished, I would like to say we were there for an hour from the time we walked in to leaving. I don't think this is excessive and required promoting to leave. I know our bill was just over £75 and is not expensive for three but edible would have been nice. Sorry but would definitely not return or recommend.

The order was for the 2nd driver that was there and she handed tbe order over to him and he left, she said to me my order was next and i said that is ok i only asked cause i could see the order on the side she said thats fine and she was nice about it. As far as i was concerned i was waiting for my order and there was not any issues however this rude man had taken it to heart the fact that i had asked to check the order number, when my order was done he threw it at me and said something rudely and then started moaning at the ladies about me. I didn't want to create a scene so did not respond and left. However this person has a very bad behaviour and attiude problems and lets this place and others that work there down. Also what he needs to understand is that Delivery drivers don't really make a lot of money and when the orders are ready they should be handed over to them so they can get on with there jobs. This place also marks the orders as ready so just eat system and the customers thing the food is ready when it is not and driver gets the blame for this, just eat pays wait time to the driver when the driver has waited 5 mints more them the order ready time but this place marks the order as ready so today i waited 30mints with no waiting fees and earned £7 for totel of 6 miles drivng which took around 20mints plus 30 waiting time. Being a delivery driver is my choice and do understand delays happen, restaurants can get busy and i don't mind waiting as long as the restaurants don't cheat the system and hand over orders when they are ready and there is no reason for 1 person to behave rudely towards another and lastly this gentalman needs to learn customer service and deal with his behaviour issues, once again the ladies are really friendly here.

I highly recommend the mega massive breakfast wrap which is huge! Always does me for breakfast & lunch. Haven’t tried anything else as yet but I’m sure I will at some point, definitely a hidden gem opposite the beeches pub.
