Up to now, all the pizza we’ve tried is Americanized. The pictures don’t do it justice but the pizza crust is truly Neapolitan style and the ingredients are good quality. Not a huge fan of the garlic and mozzarella melt bread - that was lacking flavor - but there are some other appetizers that we plan on trying next time. I will start off by saying I love the Detroit Style pizzas that Emmy Squared makes. When they are done right, they are fabulous. We really enjoyed each of the dishes although were surprised by the appearance of the calamari- they were really small pieces compared to what you usually get when you order calamari. We waited over 20 minutes for our pizza while seeing others that came before us getting theirs. We complained and the manager came and apologized and offered a refill on drinks. Admittedly, I am salt resistant but this was way over the top. I struggled through a few slices trying to taste the other ingredients unsuccessfully. I had the sense the MSAL was pretty good but enjoyment of the beer was severely diminished by the salt knocking out my sense of taste. In my sight line through the window at the counter I noticed a Seven Eleven across the street and I hot footed there for a Häagen-Dazs ice cream bar and gulped water to mitigate the sodium assault. Regaining my senses I decided to go back in the interest of fairness and to be thorough. On my return yesterday ordering small sausage pie, easy on the cheese and burn along with a MSAL my experience was completely flipped around. Balanced pure sausage flavor allowed me to taste terrific cornmeal pizza dough. That is cornmeal is sprinkled on the pizza stone that rounds are baked on which adds to the flavor profile and helps make the crust crisp and dry. This pizza was definitely 5 stars. There is no ambiance here, it is a takeout joint and while I was there on each of my visits there was a steady stream of customers picking up go orders. The kitchen is an open kitchen that is well organized. I saw 3 pizza makers making pizzas nonstop on each of my visits and both times I was handed boxed piping hot pizza in under 10 minutes. I also overheard several mentions of cookies from takeout customers on my second visit. The order taker told me ODP makes fresh oatmeal/raisin cookies and chocolate chip cookies in their pizza ovens in the morning before opening. On my way out I ordered one of each. I enjoyed the oatmeal cookie last night that was delicious and I am sure the chocolate chip will be as good.

Chopping all of the fillings gets you that perfect bite of each meat, the Italian seasonings, oil and vinegars and veg in every bite. My favorite part of a great hoagie is when the condiments perfectly start soaking into the bread and you get that solid bite with every ingredient. This sub is essentially that perfect bite of sun for the entire sandwich… can’t. Get enough of these! The Snooki meat ball sub was another very solid contender and I can’t wait to get back to try the steak and cheese. During my visits I usually grabbed a quick beer or cocktail while I waited and the craft cocktails did not disappoint. My friend said no everything was paid for and clearly the person wanted to scam my friend. The management ended up yelling at them. The security was looking at the women to intimidate them from complaining to get their pizzas, they were being treated poorly and should have received a better resolve and response from staff to take care of their refund. Everyone outside watched in chaos. Friend almost got scammed by a screaming staff person running to the uber alarming everyone for her misunderstanding just felt completely unsafe. Would be nice to have reasonable and safe and grounded resolve and being fair to people who pay. Kind, professional, and no-nonsense in the best way (especially during wedding planning). Kevin was great to work with throughout the whole process. He was super responsive, always available, and really knowledgeable. He made everything easy, calm, and was flexible with any changes we needed along the way. Our guests are still talking about it and a lot of people said it was the best wedding food they’ve ever had and we totally agree. Having the pizza oven on-site was such a cool touch and added to the overall vibe. We did the cheese please pizza with edible flowers, the Bentley, cauliflower empanadas, chicken skewers, steak bites, and caesar salad. It was amazing! At the end of the night, there we to-go pizza boxes as well for guests to take. We also used Timber as our bartenders and they were great. Everything ran smoothly, and it was clear they knew what they were doing. No stress, no fluff—just really solid service and even better food and drinks. Also they had a lot of options for recyclable bamboo plates, napkins, cups, silverware, etc. which really helped us save on costs and it still looked amazing. The tasting process was fun and straightforward, and it was nice working with a smaller, down-to-earth business that matched our energy.
