In that span of fleeting nycthemerons, I've sampled many of their offerings. Did I mention they give free samples yet? The folks at Elevated have been slinging their own on-site creations since 1977. According to their website, they started as a vendor in an old Victorian elevator across the street from their current location within the bustling village of Port Townsend. While they don't have 32 flavors, they do have the classics covered. Familiar tubs of chocolate, strawberry, mint chip, cookies and creme, sit next to a variable assortment of "elevated" things you would never expect to find in a cozy 50s malt shop atmosphere. Curiosities like cardamom, sea foam, and golden milk, to name a few. Never have I had such luscious and silky confections! But they don't stop at ice cream, shakes, and itallian ice! They operate an adjoining fudge-candy shop which is teeming with modern, homemade, and old timey treats from yesteryear. I can not suggest this place further for fear of wearing out my typing thumbs or phone screen. So if you have a hankering for something sinfully spectacular, you should swing by. They even have containers of their small batch ice cream ready to go. Well done elevated. I shall keep on masticating in support.

The ability to bring in takeout really elevates the whole place, beyond the fantastic outside seating. There's inside seating too, which is nice, but PoHo is theeeee place to be in the summer. Every beer that I can call my favorite was first enjoyed from one of their rotating taps. Snacks on site are limited but there's delicious Pho and Thai a block away that delivers. It's dog friendly and right on the water. I wish more places like Pourhouse existed. Plus they have a good selection of bottled & canned drinks you can procure.

As an interracial couple in a small town we always judge a places “welcoming” vibes by how we’re welcomed when we walk in. There was a line out the door which is understandable because there is no indoor seating. You walk in order a slice or whole pie then step outside. We ordered a whole pie, half meat lovers and half Hawaiian with jalapeños then sauntered around the waterfront till it was ready. The pizza was delicious. It tasted a bit more like a homemade than pizza restaurant if that makes sense. The crust was somewhere in the middle of thin and pan thick with a nice crunch to it. Like if you're feeling like the ol' classic pepperoni/sausage/mushroom/olive type beat just ain't doing it for you anymore (and you don't want to forever be a pizza-coward stuck in your ways lol), would definitely recommend trying an anchovy/onion/mushroom/jalapeño. If you're afraid of fishiness or something, don't be, personally I couldn't detect any unless I picked off an anchovy and ate it by itself, then I could taste a little fish, but never really in a full bite. Just a blend of savory delicious goodness with a new flavor profile, yet not lacking in the meaty-element like veggie-type pizzas do. If you're feeling adventurous, definitely try adding it to your rotation 👍 And if you haven't already tried waterfront pizza, I don't know what I could say that's gonna convince you to better than all the 5 stars from new york/chicago people, but the downstairs takeaway pizza here is genuinely my favorite restaurant food I've ever eaten in my life, period lol. I'm no food critic, but as normal-people food from a restaurant goes, that's not some crazy high-dining thing, I don't think you can do any better than this. Nothing I've ever eaten has lived in my head rent free my whole life like waterfront pizza has at least, and I've eaten across the country and the world a decent bit.

There is a small terrace with a beautiful view of the water and port. Seating is a bit limited and tight, but we were able to squeeze in for a bite. Even eating a few days later (keeping it in the fridge), the scone was not dried out or hard - still good! I had planned to go to Better Living through Coffee to get a coffee after I had gone to the bakery. Better Living through Coffee also sells the same almond and chocolate croissants and other pastries (smaller selection) from Pane d'Amour bakery. I was smiling and shaking my head, but at least I walked off a few of the calories by going to the bakery myself. I ordered the Brisket Plate (a half pound of sliced brisket--your choice if it's served on a slice of white bread or not) and chose Ranch-Style Beans as my side dish, It also came with pickle slices, sliced pickled Jalapeños and what tasted like sliced sweet onions. The brisket was very good. I prefer a bit more smoke but the meat was tender, juicy and flavorful. I could see the smoke ring nestled into the meat and bark. For the price of the plate serving it was a bargain. The Ranch-Style Beans were a letdown, a bit spicy but otherwise bland. I was hoping for more of a rich, slow-cooked sauce-based flavor. Still, the brisket was the star of the show, as it should be. The BBQ sauce on the side was a killer, among the best I've had. Don't know if it was storebought or housemade but it didn't matter, it was that good. My wife ordered the Pulled Pork Sandwich Combo which was , which included the side of her choice (potato chips). A heaping pile of delightful saucy, smoky pulled pork was served on a round bun along with cole slaw and sliced pickles (she declined the pickled Jalapeños). She loved the sandwich and I had to agree based on the first bite she allowed me. Tender, juicy smoky pulled pork that was way up there with the best we had. My only critique was that when I wife allowed me to finish her sandwich, the cole slaw and what I thought was a little too much BBQ sauce had made the bun soggy. I still finished it but my preference was for a sandwich with less sauce. As my wife just told me, "Strangely, there were bits where there wasn't a lot of sauce. But I still really enjoyed it." Atmosphere is excellent. The food is for lack of a better term earthy without a punch. Needs some acid to elevate it. Maybe some form of sweetener or vegetables of some kind to really take the food up. Music was terrible, but I loved the open mic night approach. Guy was talented, just terribly off key. Bartender was weak with drinks, but at least they tried to truck you and make the first one good. It did taste good though. The home made tonic was decent, but nothing that great. They get credit where it's due. Prices amazing compared to Tacoma it Seattle and the fight for good food is there. The highlight was the deep fried avocado. The pasta although earthy was really tasty, not overdone. The fish and chips was good in preparation and although not memorable for feeling home made, it is done really well. The owner was very friendly and ready to take our order. They got my money and refused to give me my food.
