The Cheers Pub has moved from the basement to the ground floor. But what a come down! It is now just another ordinary restaurant with sports screens and screaming kids. The Club sandwich is extremely dry and basically a lot of over toasted and burnt bread with tasteless boiled chicken, some dry lettuce without a dressing, a little bit of cheese and a little bit of what doesn't taste like an egg. The crispy bacon promised on the menu comes as unfried boiled bacon. And .... those aren't spicy chips they are over fried French fries! The prices on the menu are totally misleading. The bills come with the 30% mentioned at the bottom of the menu in small print. Taxes and the service charge doesn't change as often as the food prices. Why aren't the actual prices on the menu?

На следующий день пришли на завтрак, нам показали нашего лангуста весом один килограмм, который пару часов назад ещё плавал в океане. Попросили его приготовить на ужин. С овощами и местным чесночным соусом был просто шикарен. Очень дружелюбный персонал . Подружились с девушкой ( на первом фото) к сожалению забыл её имя. Всегда встречала нас с улыбкой и старалась выполнить все наши просьбы. Мне очень понравился их соус, я просил всегда его побольше. Пришли позавтракать перед отъездом, поели и хотели оплатить, нам показали нужно ещё немного подождать. Оказывается на кухне готовили сюрприз специально для меня. И подарили около литра шикарного соуса! За что огромное спасибо! Завтрак и обед быстро и без проблем 15-20 минут и готово. На ужин лучше прийти по возможности раньше. Желающих больше чем могут поместиться. Лучше забронировать стол заранее. Ну и естественно ждать дольше, кухня не большая. Но оно того стоит. Были ещё в Тринкомали и Коломбо, но нигде не было так вкусно . Однозначно рекомендую для посещения.

Пожаловалась официанту, на что он сказал, что у них был пауэркат (отключение электричества) и доготовить они их просто не успели. Понимаете? Т.е. доготовить не успели, а тесто использовали - будьте добры, ешьте и платите. Платить за них, конечно же, я отказалась. Чек был с напитками примерно на 3000 руб, что для Шри-Ланки просто офигеть как много. Ушли голодными и злыми. Категорически не рекомендую!!! The royal fish menu was just succulent, probably the best food we've eaten in sri lanka so far. We waited 40min for the whole table to be served which is more than reasonable especially when you are served with 2 stars-quality food. The fish was fresh, caught in the morning and the crab, easy to detach and very refined! It is definitely worth the trip for the culinary experience. If you are around and skip this place, you are definitely missing out! There could be slightly more seat but if you reserve in advance, you will get a table (for now...) Congratulations to the chef!
