We had a full size Ruben sandwich and full size egg salad sandwich - both were excellent. The Ruben was served hot off a press and was perfectly grilled. The egg salad was creamy, with slices of hard boiled egg present. Two dill pickle spears were include, chilled, crisp and fresh. A nice selection of salads, ranging from greens to pasta, meat available, were offered. A wide selection of desserts including cookies, lemon bars and more were available. We didn't try either the salads or desserts, but both looked fresh, generous and delectable. You may need to stand in line for a few minutes but it is worth the wait.

Smoothie was from a mix. Most disappointing was the amount of plastic this place uses and wastes. Further, no recycling bin present. We were seated in the hot sun with no shade, despite there being tables with umbrellas elsewhere . The waitress was nice, but hard to understand. Odd, but I agreed. Then she gave me a random IPA anyway? It was fine since I got what I wanted, just confusing! Husband's $12 Cocktail was pretty much just juice. The food we had was way overpriced for what it was. You have to pay $2 extra to "upgrade" to fries in the meals. My fish & chips cost me $17 with the upgrade, but the fish was close to burned and looked like those little crumbed fillets you get in the frozen section of the supermarket. I didn't get the fries I paid $2 extra for, until I mentioned it. Chicken sandwich was overpriced for what was essentially chicken on a bun, had to pay extra for tomato. We'd seen amazing looking desserts posted recently by the owners here on google, so were looking forward to that at least, but most of the desserts on the website menu seemed to be unavailable, as the waitress only mentioned ice cream or a cheesecake. We got the cheesecake which was this shriveled up little puck and NOTHING like the photos posted. I rarely complain or post bad reviews but it seems that you're mostly paying for the beautiful view of the lake; the prices are way higher than their low quality food is worth. It was a pretty crap experience and would not recommend it.

We waited 1 hour for a seat. I ordered the BLT. Menu said it came with pineapple, it didn’t. Quite Literally the worst food I have been served by any restaurant at any time in my life. My crown and coke was 80% water and my wife’s margarita was store bought garbage mix with cheap tequila. All this for the low price of $48 plus tip. I’m willing to pay a premium for a nice view and location but I expect the food to be decent. I was insulted by the food and drinks I was served and underwhelmed by the service. We loved their Sunday breakfast buffet. However, the disrespect we were shown throughout the entire night was astounding. A party spending nearly 1,000 dollars deserves a little courtesy, right? We were met with nothing but harsh comments and hostility. We were consistently met with demeaning comments for asking simple questions. All I can say is, if you are looking at this place for an option, please reconsider. One would think after spending that kind of money, and being treated in that manner, there would be some sort of discourse about the situation and absolution to make things right. That did not happen. We were ignored, and offered the gratuity back. Pretty slim for a 1,000 dollar check. PLEASE take your business somewhere else and save yourself the heartache and money you will inevitably waste at this “establishment”.

The cookie ATM outside is also really convenient but I wanted to see what was inside the shop. We got 3 different cookies--chocolate chip, peanut butter, and a lemon cream cheese topped cookie. The peanut butter cookie was my favorite out of the three. I didn't like the overwhelming almond flavor in the chocolate chip cookie. Maybe someone used the wrong extract by accident? The lemon cream cheese/sugar cookie was not enjoyable. The frosting was just too sweet and I couldn't taste any cream cheese. I will say, though, that the texture on all of the cookies was good and soft. My biggest complaint is that the chocolate chip and peanut butter cookies tasted like they were only made with white sugar. I won't get into it, but they lacked the richness and complexity I normally seek in a cookie. I'll just have to try different ones next time and update my review.

GeJo's was recommended by two of the girls who have homes there and after seeing some pictures of the outdoor seating I figured it'd be a nice, unique experience. The food reviews were decent so we made a 5pm reservation on a Saturday. We were seated upon arrival. Outside, as requested. It took quite some time for a server to address us. That's to be expected on a busy Saturday in the summer. Not a big deal. However, there were a number of issues as the evening went on. One of the girls ordered the hot oil, expecting it to come with bread. Though, she didn't confirm with the server. For $5, all you got was a 1.5oz plastic ramekin of oil (photo with hand as a reference). The oil was advertised as having a house blend of spices but it just looked like oil. We didn't have any bread to dip in it so we just didn't use it. By the time the server came back around and we could've ordered some bread the entrées were making their way out so they took it off our bill. Two of the girls shared a pizza and the rest of us got pasta. I was considering the "Forget the Sauce, Forget the Cheese" as long as it came with pasta. The server assured me that it did so I ordered it. I can confirm that it does not, in fact, come with pasta. The server was very apologetic and brought me a huge side of spaghetti to remedy the mistake. The dish was good, albeit a bit bizarre with the amount of sweetness. The description says a "touch of honey" but it seemed to be doused in it. I would have asked for a quarter the amount of hot honey if I had known. Even so, the dish was unsatisfying (in my opinion) without the pasta. Several other things transpired that made dinner a little less smooth. One person's salad was forgotten so she didn't get to eat that until we were all done with our entrées. Good thing we didn't wait because it took a long time. My pasta that the server added on late came out before my friend's salad. Drinks were also not filled, and it took an inordinate amount of time to get checks, and to get cards back. The girls who ordered the pizza graciously shared. I will say that the pizza is good--perfect crust, toppings went well together, cheese was perfectly melted and not burnt, and the seasonings were on-point. It's such a shame that nothing else was this good. The prices also did not reflect the quality of service, the environment, or the food at all. We met the owner who was helping bus tables. He seems like someone who genuinely cares about his staff and I absolutely love that! I just think they all need more training. As someone who served and bartended for about a decade before getting into my career I hesitate to leave these types of reviews. Hence, why I'm writing this review so late. But, there is no email address listed on the website for me to send a private note to management. This place seems to be a staple at the lake. The problem is training and consistency. It was our first time here and we got the lite fare sizes for our entrée. They came with a breadstick and a salad each. The outdoor seating was pleasant. The ravioli was pretty good and after everything 2 of those ravioli were enough for me, ended up taking the last one home along with half a breadstick. With covid right now, they did well with the seating outside and from what I saw while I was there they would clean thoroughly. Only some employees wore mask, I state this for those that are curious since some people would like to eat out but are immunocomprimised. We did make a reservation, and glad we did, seemed like they had a steady flow of in an out. Good, friendly servers and will definitely be back for more.

Chances are that more often than not, we choose to play it safe and pick something familiar to us off of the menu. Saturday was no ordinary day. I walked in with no knowledge of what to expect from the menu, so I decided to place a safe order of a sandwich and to try something new. I ordered a cup of their split pea soup. Believe me when I tell you that the Split Pea soup was a HIGHLIGHT of my day. I was sceptical when it first came as I had never had it before. I used my spoon to stir it up a bit and took a hearty piece of ham into the spoon and proceeded to take my first bite. To this day, this was by far the VERY BEST SOUP I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE! Holy cow! I am a fan of any and all foods, but this soup made me realize to really take time out of my day to enjoy the little things. Well AA did and I think they did a pretty good job. It’s not for the dozen or so travelers that fly in and out each day but for the locals to enjoy good food and maybe some airport action to boot. First the house margaritas were decent but just over yonder what AA calls a jumbo is just a regular and regular size here is a two sip kiddie cup over there. Margaritas are a racket just like everything else in America. My ‘jumbo’ = maybe an oz of rail tequila and 10 oz of pre-maid machine dispensed lime liquid was 12$….yikes. It tasted good but I never feel a drink should cost about the same as a meal. Chips and salsa were good enough but I often wonder why restaurants do give them more love as they kinda ate the opening act that sets the tone. Both entrees were good which in my case eased the true feelings of them being two bite tacos as they where so small. I guess I was pleasantly surprised by the location, ambience and service but the price per portion was a little off base in my opinion. Give ‘em a try and see for yourself they do a good and just maybe you’ll see a plan fly or ufo pass by. Enjoy!

What can I say it's about middle of the road. I've had worse and I've had better. The service was great at the beginning, but then I was kind of forgotten about. The rice and bean plate was better than most as the rice was near perfect if not somewhat cold. The beans were awesome, rich dark brick red in colour, perfect consistency not runny and pale like some places. Pico de gallo was fresh as was Gaucamole. I ordered the Fajitas Del Mar which is the sea food version that has shrimp, scallops, fake crab and a slab of whitefish. All of this was properly cooked. The letdown was the onions and peppers that were over cooked to the point of being almost mush. The chips and salsa tasted good, just small sized. In closing I will definitely be back here again at some point to try other things on the menu. It filled me up and I even had to get a to go box and the portions of the Fajitas were generous. This place was delicious. My wife had the Fajitas Tropical, I had the Mahi Mahi Fish Tacos, and our 2 year old had a taco. We started off our meal with chips -n- salsa and quickly added some Queso Dip. The salsa was tangy, bright and refreshing while the Queso Dip was savory and creamy with a hint of spiciness. Each taco is about a 3-biter and I really recommend the Salsa Más Picante (super spicy salsa) to put on top. My plate was complete with 3 tacos and lime slices for squeezing. Do yourself a favor, squeeze the lime onto your taco. The Fried Ice Cream dessert was basic, but good. I personally love hard-packed and hard-frozen ice cream and this dessert delivered the goods. The bread used for my french dip is the kind that you get off the the grocery shelf that has so many preservatives in it that you can use it for MRE rations. Stick it in a coffee can, bury it in the back yard and in 30 years should be about the same quality as the day you buried it. The AuJus was light on the AuJus and heavy on what seemed to be water. The pulled pork sandwich was about a 5 on a 0-10 scale. Not much to write home about...or write a review about. French fries were top notch. Pretzel bites were pretty good. The fresh brewed iced tea was so tart I had to mix it with a glass of water. Food presentation was honestly very nice. So if you are going for fries and pretzel bites with excellent presentation, I highly recommend. Otherwise the food alone is in not a reason to visit. In my opinion, bad food can be overlooked if there is a good band. A bad band can be overlooked if the food was to die for. When both are bad, there is little to no reason to come back. Music and food aside, the venue itself is nice. Nice artwork on the walls including some guitars. Dance floor in front of the stage area. Booths were comfortable.
