By the time they were able to get us sat the restaurant was slowing down. Food took a long time, again we were a larger party. My breakfast was not as good as I remembered. You get huge portions but they were not cooked the best. Hash-browns were not quite done and pancakes were huge but burnt I couldn’t eat them. Chicken fried steak was soggy not very crispy. My daughter did enjoy her chicken sandwich and husband liked his jalapeño burger. So we might try some dinner if we come again.

Do not be fooled by the energetic bikers-hangout atmosphere, because their food is amazing. They make their Cajun bacon completely in house, the hash browns are better then any restaurant I have been to, and their coffee actually has flavor and doesn’t taste like it has been sitting in a pot for several hours. We tried coming here twice with a baby and a toddler and both times, even though there is a kids menu, the experience was very unaccommodating. The first time we went we were sat a few minutes after they opened, but all of the regulars took priority for getting orders taken. By the time we got our food everyone was a mess. The second time we went in we had a plan that we would order everything and ask for the check as soon as we first saw the waitress so that we could make a quick exit if things fell apart because we have two young kids who don’t know how to act or sit for long periods of time yet. We are trying to teach them by taking them to a sit down restaurant once a week. We were sat in a raised booth with no help getting highchairs or booster seats. The highchair was a foot below the table, we then had to seat our baby in a booster seat with no straps and hold him in while we fed him. We could have asked for another booth but our first experience there showed that if we didn’t get everything ordered and asked for a check as soon as we saw the waitress we would have trouble doing so with the understandable wave of people that comes in. That worked very well for our situation and we got food for everyone but then we had trouble once again making a quick exit. Our check sat on the table with the card sticking out of it the entire meal, yes I admit I should have asked her to take it one of the two times she came to our table so that is my fault. The toddler inevitably gets inpatient while we wait to pay and has to make an exit with dad and the baby. This is to leads to me going to the hostess and asking if I can pay so we can leave. The ambiance here was mixed, as the seating was in a hotel lobby so you saw hotel guests checking in and out as well as people wandering in hotel robes which was mildly off-putting. The view of the river however, was quite nice. The service was excellent and attentive throughout the evening. The food was mostly good and there was an excellent cocktail menu with some unusual choices to try. I highly recommend the "Cara Cara & Cranberry" salad (our favorite part of the meal, it was perfectly balanced in flavor and texture) as well as the rosemary bread with herb butter (absolutely delightful!). Our entrees were lukewarm when they arrived, and the "Miso and Tamari Glazed Sablefish" was definitely the low point of our meal (especially for the price). It was average at best, had far too much broth, and an extremely small portion of fish. My gnocchi was excellent, with great lemon undertones, I just wish it had arrived warmer. They were the only place opened at 1030pm. Our tacos were cold and the fries were cold too. Suggestions for company: get more stuff to add to the sodas like: fruit purée, popping pearls, syrup flavors, favored creams….😛 Update review: I came back at a different time of day and the service was still amazing! I ordered the Rosebud, a tropical mountain, grilled cheese (again), and a chicken melt. I also ordered their mango smoothie. All very tasty. If ordering anything from their grill, you must consume when it’s hot. If you keep it in the container in the way home it cools and gets soft. (Normal for any grilled sandwich). I’m posting more pictures! Ordered two drinks and a grilled cheese! The drinks were amazing! I ordered “The Doc” and a “Rosebud”. Oh my goodness the taste was amazing and the blended “Rosebud” consistency was smooth with no chunks of ice(sometimes places blend so fast they leave chunks of ice). The grilled cheese was so good I forgot to get a picture before I ate most of it. YUM I went through the drive through which has a weird turn about that my Ford Expedition didn’t like but I was able to get up to the window ok. The employees were so nice. Thank you!
