Decent normal American bar type food. The menu isn’t super large which is good, mostly sandwiches/burgers/wraps. They don’t serve main meals or pasta until 4pm.
The crab soup did have a lot of tasty crab, however the soup itself was like gloop. It was so thick and had no taste which was so weird. Hardly even salt and pepper. Way too thick even for a chowder. Burger was pretty good taste, a little charred, ordered medium but got more like medium well. Steak and cheese also was okay, better than burger as it had nicely cooked onions and mushrooms in it. The fries were good when hot - but they seemed like really cheap crinkly fries. After they got even a little cold they tasted so awkward and not good.
Server was nice.
The main reason I’m giving low stars is cleanliness. The whole place felt dirty, which in turn made me feel like the food was dirty. The ceiling has caked on dust. I guess it’s an old building but that doesn’t mean it should be dirty. Bathrooms needed cleaned as well. Windows are smudged everywhere. Menus were dirty which gave a horrible first impression.

Very cozy pub interior. Traditional American breakfast. Menu small but completely adequate. Service was phenomenal. Food came out quickly after order. The waitress was very attentive and checked in regularly. The other wait staff was also attentive. Prices were reasonable. I got the three egg platter with a scrapple, rye toast and home fries. Scrapple was perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside soft interior with a slight thickness. The home fries were fresh and good. The type was soft not crispy. Side order of bacon was a hefty portion and was somewhat limp but crispy.
Will definitely return.

First time here. What an outstanding experience! The food was phenomenal and our waiter/bar tender Herman was the icing in the cake! He is so personable and easy going and a great waiter but he makes the best Long Island Ice Tea we have ever had! We went on a Sunday morning around 10:30 AM and it was extremely crowded . We were greeted, handed menus and told to order at the counter. We grabbed the only table available so that we could sit down while choosing what we wanted since we hadn’t been there before. After placing the order, our food came out in about 10 minutes. But the girl at the counter, forgot to give us our cups for coffee so we didn’t know that the coffee wouldn’t be served, girl at the counter should have given My husband our coffee cups so that we could make our own coffee at the coffee bar. Portions are small compared to the price. I had waffles and they were not crispy at all. They were very soft and spongy like pancakes. The chicken was about a quarter inch thick, size of my hand, breaded very thick. Flavor was ok. My husband and daughter had crêpes. My Daughter was served one crêpe with some Nutella and strawberries . And My husband had the Baltimore crêpe. Served with a salad that flavors didn’t match the entrée. They both said that they crispiness of the crêpe made it taste more like a tortilla, too thick. The best thing I can say about this café is that they had freshly brewed Hawaiian Kona coffee and it was superb.

They also have some meat substitutes for vegetarians so we can enjoy those traditional Korean dishes! They’re as good at sweet as savory, and their coffee/ tea selection is just perfect. Restaurants like this demonstrate what's off with the American economy right now. This is a basic cafe. The kind you imagine people would frequent on their way to work. Drop in for a quick coffee and breakfast sandwich type of place. We paid $56 dollars for a breakfast platter and fish and grits. $56! No freaking way a plain cafe like this should charge this much for plain food. The food in no way justifies the price and it's just not a good value or experience overall. It's actually kind of upsetting to pay this much for subpar under seasoned basic food and mediocre service and atmosphere. Definitely cannot recommend and will never return. Do better!

This is the worst… the worst. The employees are LAZY. They don’t want to work, complain if anything is custom and make fun of customers. Fortunately I’m in this area often and will tell everyone I know to avoid this place. Hopefully it will be gone in a year. There only saving grace would be to fire everyone and hope that new reviews are positive. This is a perfect example of where staff can literally destroy a business. I’ve said my peace, now it’s time to spread the word.
UPDATE: Well… received the canned response like other poor reviews got (as expected) along with a few new fake “feeling the love” reviews, probably from relatives of the staff. After what I saw and after reading the “5 star” reviews it’s obvious this establishment only caters to some clientele and makes fun of others. Thanks owner but I’m not filling out your form, to get something free from a place that I encourage everyone to avoid. Based on others reviews, this has been going on for months and nothing has changed, so I’ll continue to spread the word.

I stopped by Einstein Bros Bagels in Silver Spring this morning, and I’m so glad I did. It was early The bagels were fresh, warm, and absolutely delicious.The wonderful ladies at the counter were super friendly and polite — they made me feel welcome right away. Since it was my first time, they helped me pick out an excellent breakfast bagel sandwich (I believe it was on the three-cheese bagel), and it was spot on. I wish I took the picture but obviously never had a chance lol
I recently moved to the neighborhood for work, and I can already tell this place will be one of my go-to breakfast spots. Definitely a hidden gem — I’ll be back soon just for the service alone, and next time I’m bringing my colleagues!

Honestly the service was terribly slow and I didn’t even get the correct order. This morning, I stopped by this Einstein on the way to class and gave myself what I thought was plenty of time. From the time I pulled into the drive thru, to the time that I finally left, was about 30 minutes. The service was insanely slow and people were leaving the drive thru line, however I had already made my order and did not have another option. Once I got my order, as I was driving away I realized the order was wrong. Instead of getting two bagels with cream cheese (that I ordered), I had gotten a bacon egg and cheese on a bagel and I am not only vegetarian but also lactose intolerant so could not eat any of it. Because of the time it took to get it, I did not have time to go back inside to correct because I would have been late.

This cafe is cute and cozy! They serve food, pastries, and coffee. Plenty of seating inside and outside. The staff are friendly and welcoming. I love the gifts you can also buy inside. This cafe gets very busy and I did notice an online pick up area - which is great. There have been many times I tried to grab a quick coffee but walked out because the line to order was to the door. Thankfully it was less crowded this time that I was able to grab a coffee and a muffin.
The coffee is on the stronger side, but still good. I ordered a pineapple coconut muffin which was moist and delicious. It’s great to have a coffee place near OEC

What a cute and quaint cafe! I had the toasted croissant with ham and cheese, and my wife had the spinach and feta cheese quiche. Both were very good. We also had the cappuccino coffee. Also very good.
We also brought some of their pastries home with us.
There are about eight tables that seat about three people each. As well as a counter with stools. There are also tables and chairs in front of the cafe for when the weather is nice.
It reminds me of the shops and cafes in the Village on the West side of downtown Manhattan when I lived in NYC.
It's definitely a very popular destination with the locals.
Ellicott City is a quaint town right outside Baltimore, Md. with dozens of small shops.

The food here is great! The staff is friendly and there are so many different pastries to choose from, you will have to come back for a second visit.

We came here because of the reviews. However it was a little disappointing.
Ambiance: quaint, cute little place with cute courtyard seating.
Counter staff and waiting satff: very nice and pleasant greeting customers.
Food: mehh, we ordered a Turkey and Cheddar sandwich, a caprese on sour dough bread instead of Ciabatta, a pumpkin spice latte and a harvest Chai (asked for bith to be extra extra hot).
My Harvest Chai was really good except it was not extra hot.
The pumpkin spice latte was bland, could not taste the pumpkin spice at all.
Turkey sandwich was alright, nothing special too much mustard.
Caprese sandwich: I have had better ones at different places - the Mozzarella was too thick, the pesto was salty and wasn't spread out, just a glob in the middle and same with the balsamic dressing, which makes everything saltier and sour. Other places use aged balsamic which has a little tangy and sweetness to it to balance out the pesto.
I also notice there were not much choices in the cases perhaps because its 2 o'clock in the afternoon. Totally understandable.
Over-all, nit up to par with all the lavishing reviews. But we definitely will come back for a second chance. Maybe, it's because it's late in the afternoon when we got there.

This place was super-cute (and, more importantly, tasty). Our server, Alex, was great about remembering the nay-nay to onions and keeping our drinks filled. The place itself felt spacious but the acoustics weren’t terrible like some big spaces; we could all hear each other just fine. :) We ordered breakfast- Nashville Hot Chicken & Waffles, the classic breakfast, Cinnamon French toast, Apple Strudel French Toast (I think), and the Veggie Crepe. Everyone loved their food. Even the bathrooms were nice- clean and spacious, individual gender-neutral rooms instead of rooms with stalls.
The only downside is that the bathrooms are strongly scented with air fresheners, so asthmatics and those with scent epilepsy triggers should beware.

Visited Jam Eateries for brunch and left with mixed feelings. The service was noticeably slow and a bit inefficient—our table sat idle even after we were done, which felt like a missed opportunity for such a busy place. Not sure if it was our server or if she was pulled for other duties, but the lag was noticeable.
I ordered the flat iron steak medium with eggs over medium. The eggs were cooked perfectly and served on top of the steak, which was a nice touch. The first cut of steak was spot on, but the rest was closer to medium-well and lacked seasoning. It did have a nice crust, though. Home fries were cold and hard, like they'd been sitting too long or came from the bottom of a sterno pan. The crunchy French toast looked good but tasted bland—more like plain toast with toppings than anything memorable.
On the upside, the fruit was fresh and sweet (great mix of mango, strawberries, and blueberries). My watermelon juice with raspberry and lemon sounded better than it tasted—could’ve used more lemon to balance the sweetness. My guest’s "Nice Melons" juice with melon, cucumber, celery, and lemon was excellent, though.
Jam has potential, but the service and food execution need more consistency to justify the hype.

He always recommends the best customized drinks, like the Kickstarter with added ginger, and knows the menu inside and out. I thought that this place was really nice. The parking is fine as there are spots literally surrounding the building. The food was pretty good. I got the EC Smash Burger which was excellent. My wife had the shrimp quesadilla which was even better. Also had mozzarella sticks. All great. The waitress was very friendly as well. The photos I shared are of one side of the restaurant, the other side is all booths. The actual building has been there for as long as I can remember. It used to be a place called Double T (which has a few locations in Maryland). The locals already know this, so this information is for people who are passing by. Anyway, I believe that this place has specialty milkshakes that you can purchase. I had one a few years ago and it was very good. Enjoy your time there!

Atmosphere: a typical diner setting; even the landline ringtone matches it. Fairly clean and comfortable inside.
Service: wonderful. Jorene was great, friendly, and attentive.
Food: chicken quesadilla - was fully loaded with chicken and delicious. Maryland crab soup - the flavor was tasty and not too salty, but it could use more crab meat. Watermelon burrata salad - sounded interesting, so I had to give it a try. It turned out surprisingly delicious and refreshing. Sweet watermelon and soft creamy burrata cheese paired perfectly. Penne alla vodka with shrimp was delicious, not overly sauced, and the seasoning was just right. Fried chicken - the meat was very dry, the batter was thick and hard, do not recommend. Milkshake - thick and yummy. Chocolate brownies - dry and hard to eat, we had a difficult time using a spoon to take a piece off of it…ugh. Given the numerous dessert selections, I wasn’t expecting something this bad. Thought they will be good at them.
Value: Given that the portion sizes and taste of the menu items are mostly tasty, the pricing is very reasonable and affordable.

One of our favorite spots to visit when in the area. The food has great flavor at a decent price. The sundaes are massive — proceed with caution and an empty stomach! I came yesterday to celebrate a birthday and I usually order the Scampi pasta, when my plate came it look diferent and it tasted bland. There were no cherry tomatoes or basil. I called the server and he took them back just to return a few minutes later they threw some raw tomatoes and brought me the same dish. We popped in as we walked the streets of Old Ellicott City to enjoy some beverages. We picked up a frozen lemonade, a hot The Squirrel, and an iced The Squirrel.
They were pretty yummy.
They also offer alcoholic beverages. We didn’t grab any on this trip but they definitely look delicious and I’d be more than willing to pop back by to try one or two!!
The staff were amazing!
Plenty of indoor seating and even some outdoor seating. It’s a really cool spot in general.

My friends and I got brunch over the weekend, they both got the chicken souvlaki and I got the cowboy breakfast bowl and the squirrel latte. The latte was good, and I enjoyed the bowl, but only once I added some tabasco sauce as it was rather bland without it, though that might just be my personal taste. When I arrived with my party on a bustling Sunday morning, there was a long line that snaked around the first floor. Unsure as to whether that was the take-out line, we discovered that the protocol there is to get in line and place your order, whether it's to get your food/drinks to go or to consume it on the premises. If you want the latter, after you place your order, you're given a number on your receipt. If you order any drinks, you're asked to wait by the register for them. If you ordered food, you find a place you want to sit and place your receipt in eyesight of the servers bringing food from the kitchen. There is the option to eat at the few tables on the first floor, at the considerably more tables on the second floor, or out on the deck in the back at street level.

I walked in because my phone glitched and I was picking up a large order for a group at my house. I was immediately greeted by three people at the front counter who were extremely busy (and still took the time to smile and acknowledge me). Love taro it was a staple food growing up almost every meal rice, taro or green bananas.
Anyways enough nostalgia…I ended up spending $55 because I don’t make the trek down this way very often and it was worth every penny. Here is what I got and my personal ratings (i prefer semi sweet, pasty that is airy or layered). Please don’t let my review deter you I recommend you try what your heart desires! Our taste palettes vary.
-coffee 12 oz dark bitter no sugar or cream needed pairs well with sweet pastry’s
- Taro Cream Bun 10/10 the hype is real. Cream isn’t too thick just right consistency to go with the bun that was baked perfectly not too chewy or tough. Right amount of pull. Enough cream to last each bite
-Milk Pillow Bread just heavenly! Great alone or with a jam spread. Pillowy goodness not sweet at all which is nice.
-Sweet potato cake reminds me of a cross between pound cake & sponge cake. Delicious texture & tasty.
-Foliage Sausage Bread not too oily or heavy can be eaten alone as a breakfast treat. Is the base a focaccia mix? Seasoned well esp if you like that salty taste but the sausage added on additional saltiness flavor (not complaining I loved it) but forewarning for those watching their sodium intake. There were edges that were burnt which was SO good it tasted almost like caramel. So you get that salty sweet flavor burst.
-Cocoa Hazelnut Croissant very good airy & not overly sweet.
-Caramel Almond Pastry only had a small bite because my son ate the rest but it was delicious
-Strawberry Cream Cake and Cloud cream cake ARE VISUAL ART. Almost couldn’t eat it looked so beautiful. The cake itself is moist no tart taste or artificial taste. Right amount of sweetness very fresh. We fought over the cakes and who would eat the rest lol
Overall 1000/10 I’m going for a 5 mile run now to burn some of these carbs lol

Due to the overcrowding at nearby establishments, I decided to give it a try and was pleasantly surprised by the generous portions. Per the excellent reviews in a HoCo foodie group, I ordered a German Chocolate cake for my Father-in-law’s birthday today. I learned it was his favorite, and had to try to find a good one. It didn’t disappoint! My husband doesn’t even like coconut but he wanted to try a bite…and liked it so much he ate a piece😂.
The cake was so fudgy/moist and full of flavor! The coconut pecan frosting was on point.
Thank you Cozy’s for your excellent customer service and delicious food. Highly recommend!

Everything I ordered was either wrong, inedible, or overpriced. The chai tea tasted like watered-down coconut milk. The granola YOGURT bowl came without yogurt, and even after asking twice for them to remake it, it was barely edible. The food, the people, the atmosphere and everything is great every time we go here and dine.
Chicken&Waffle has always been good here except for this time, we ordered take-out.
Took them not too long to make and first thing when we got the ordered, we opened the box to see if we needed any extra sauce or else. They gave us waffles and chicken nuggets, like those round ones you can get at grocery frozen section.
Then we brought back and asked them because it is badly different than any other time we got Chicken & Waffles here.

This is one of the small nostalgic cafes that have food and desserts and coffees and teas, but it's the experiences that bring the people together. They have a large collection of books, that have been donated by others. I asked if I could borrow two books he said sure no problem...
It's those little unique treasures that make places worth coming to. I'm from out of town I'm from Pittsburgh but I will make sure that this remains on my stop of halfway points each year that I go to the beach.
Side note there's a grocery store in this plaza so if you forgotten anything this is also a great place to grab that and there's also a gas station!

I contacted McDonald’s corporate office and they forwarded my comments to the franchise owner, multiple times before he answered.
