The location is great overlooking the inlet and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Best of all is the food and there are plenty of options for everyone. Our children had the Eggs Bene Penny, and an Omelette and being vegan, we had the Bird Bowl. Everything thing was spectacular. If they had lavished the bread with avo as per the title, it would be an awesome meal. The big breakfast would be great if they did the mushrooms fresh each day, however, the mushrooms are done in advance (don't want to divulge too much, but it is safe) it probably wouldn't have the slight rancid taste it had and the eggs were hard and broken when we asked for them to easy over, I guess the days of making a field egg in a pan a splash the oil/butter over the top to semi cook the egg are gone. The atmosphere is relaxed and the staff and friendly and attentive. The coffee is Toby’s Estate which is expertly crafted into your favourite cup by a very competent barista. The food is hearty and well prepared using fresh ingredients. There isn’t anything really exciting on the menu, nothing out of the box as far as creative flare goes but it’s all your usual suspects. Usually about 3-4 times a week for coffee but not anymore! Since the new Management has taken over its gone downhill! The coffee is awful! There is a warm yet modern interior to greet you as you walk in the front door, along with friendly staff. That being said, what we all ordered was so delicious! Pictured is the southern fried chicken burger and the Buddha bowl with halloumi. The service was amazing and the lovely waitresses were very lovely to speak to. The decor inside is so lively and fresh surrounding you. Bathroom smells good and is VERY clean which is always a +. The veg spring rolls have a net type pastry exterior which I love because I like buying those ones back in Sydney! The deluxe pork bánh mì is super satisfying! The only downside is the bread isn’t the crispiest, which I’m not fussed by, given if you’re in metro Sydney, you’d have much more easy access to freshly baked Viet bread due to a higher turnover. The filling of roast pork with some extra crackling, and the signature shallot oil, makes it a great bánh mì to enjoy here in Kiama!

What a breath of fresh air to the culinary scene down there. It's been given a face lift making it look (and feel) more inviting and appealing from the time you walk in the door. Staff are devine and extremely knowledgeable on what they're serving. I had the Roast Veg Bowl upon recommendation & it proved to be a tasty delicious bowl of absolute goodness. Who knew Veges could be so exciting! Green Kanteen is the new kid on the block and definitely one to look out for when visiting Kiama in my opinion. Great job guys!

The freshly made blueberry muffin was fluffy and devine! The $10 bacon and egg muffin with coffee was not only great value but was really delicious. The chicken burger on a charcoal roll with fresh salad, lots of avocado and crispy veggie chips was amazing to see and twice as good to eat! The big breakfast looked incredibly appetising.... I will most definitely order that next time. Big choice of vegetarian/vegan options and a interesting smoothie/fruit juice menu. Friendly service, very clean and beautifully presented.
