I got an email straight away confirming the credit and thought that was more or less the end of it but I might report it to the FSAI at another time. The bone was fairly big and looked like half of the wishbone. But then at half ten pm I received a call from the restaurant through the Deliveroo Dublin number. I was a bit surprised to be called that late and answered thinking someone I knew was in trouble or something. But no it was the restaurant. He started off saying I was a regular customer and then asking me about the credit refund request. I told him about the bone but then he wasn’t listing to me and started asking me and questioning me why the option for incorrectly cooked items was selected for the reason for the credit. I told him that was what the agent from Deliveroo selected after the bone found and anyway that’s beside the point there was literally a bone in my chicken burger I could have easily chocked on. After that he started going on about how it’s a chicken breast and there couldn’t have been a bone in it. Felt like I was being gaslight. And I told him I had a picture of it and was so confused and upset by the call. Anyway after a couple of minutes of this questioning late at night he eventually let me go and ended the call. I’m writing this review just to let people know what happened. I didn’t make too much fuss about the bone when I found it and only requested a credit for the €8.80 value of the burger but then I got a shocking reaction my integrity was questioned late at night. Anyway food there is normally decent but how I was treated after was horrible.

We asked the manager what the options were and he explained what they were. We then asked about whether the gluten free food including the chips was fried and prepared separately from gluten containing ingredients (for Coeliacs, cross contamination is a huge issue that can cause extreme sickness, vomiting etc). As this point, this so called manager thought it would be the perfect moment to make a joke about food allergies and stated that they just fry everything together, gluten, non gluten, chips the lot. He was laughing as he said it and then my daughter went very pale and nearly started crying. She was very upset. How can a person who has a managerial position think it's ok to mock a child about a serious health allergy and make a joke about it? I was so angry and just had to leave before I did something I regretted. I will never frequent a Supermacs again and I'd advise anyone with a food allergy to do the same. With staff feeling It's ok to behave that way, it's obviously not something that Supermacs take very seriously. While my family ate I waited a few extra minutes for my double cheese bacon burger. Which can happen, however the wait would have been worth it of the burger was good. Way over fried the bottom burger pattie, was more like a smash burger crispy and filled with oil , I mean the oil was dripping onto the plate. Tasteless and unfortunately not a good experience for me. Was our first time in and honestly don't mind paying the prices if the food turns out good. It is our last night here in Ireland and wanted a pint of Guinness. So here we are at this quaint little pizza place and we saw the pizza stove from outside with a Guinness signage so we went straight in. It was absolutely no regrets and absolutely delightful to be served with very enthusiastic staff with wonderful pizza. We started with one pizza and had to order another one as it was so good. Highly recommend the Napolitana pizza 😋😋😋, we started with a non-traditional spicy hot pepperoni pizza and mind you, it came with fresh chilli pepper toppings. Pizza here is freshly made to order, thin crust, Napoli style. Guinness pint was fresh, cold and creamy. 👍 Italian beer on the tap is a must if you like pizza with beer, very refreshing. We will definitely come back again if there is a chance, highly recommend it.

The hotel is very well located with major Galway attractions being very walkable. I had a standard double room which was very spacious. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very large. The hotel staff were friendly and very nice - our room was not ready when we arrived prior check in so they brought our bags up to our room for us. We would hear footsteps above us. However, I would definitely recommend staying at the Hardiman.
