We ordered a couple of rolls and the crispy calamari appetizer. And we asked our very friendly server if we could add fresh jalapenos to one of the rolls. All the food came out quick fresh and beautifully prepared. There is even a robot that delivers pick up orders and entrees to the servers, which adds a really fun element to this already very enjoyable restaurant experience. I was visiting Helena for work and got tired of the usual diner food so I went to Toi. The waiter who greeted us was very nice, to my surprise this restaurant is managed by hippie white guys but let me tell ya, they have the skills! Food was AMAZING. I loved the shrimp green curry. Mild was actually spicy but it was fine. I also loved the combo fried rice. I'm giving four stars bc I didn't like the ambiance, it gets really crowded inside and very stuffy and dark. I wish they'd open their windows or even pull up their blinds for some light. They also need better vent, you will smell like the restaurant guaranteed. The place just needs some work. But all in all I was very impressed with the food and service. That's what matters most.

As to the sushi, I was thinking about the following: Ratio of Sushi to rice: around 33 percent or less. The white tuna was 20 percent. The unagi was 30 percent +/-. Generous tuna roll: 45 percent. Rice could've been a little more moist, but all was good when our Sophia recommended some great Montanan beer. The manager was cool. Even though he's from SoCal.
