From one restaurant owner to another, 10/10! It’s been difficult finding a decent pho spot outside of Chicago but we’re so happy we found Pho 95! The food is delicious and came out very quickly too! My experience with this place is always phenomenal.
Except this one random time. Why does one of my eggrolls look like it’s old? And the fact that the cook saw it like this and packed it up is questionable. My only request is if you see something that does not look appetizing and you would not eat it yourself, Just remove it and start over again.
I think this one eggroll could have been swapped out for a more pleasing one. The other side of that old egg roll is soggy and smells bad. The value that I put in to my small lunch today was a loss for me for the price I paid for these two eggrolls.
I could go back yes, but that is also gas that I spent going over there.
My message is intended to the chef or whoever packed my food. I work in the food industry and have to deal with Inspection monthly. To provide quality is prime. All I ask is to pay attention to the quality of food you put out to paying customers, so that this never happens again.

Went in for dinner at the neighbourhood spot with sticky tables & odd oder at the front part of the restaurant. Since we had some vegetarians, our waitress was super helpful with the pho orders. The food is tasty and served piping hot. Ordered spring rolls and chicken wings and pho to follow those dishes. The prices are reasonable. Good luck if you get inexperienced waiter as we saw the table behind us was having hard time ordering and the waiter was so not helpful.

Food was excellent, nothing anyone ate was mediocre, it was all beyond our expectations and staff were fantastic our waters and drinks seemed to fill automatically while we enjoyed talking and eating. Me and my husband tried out this restaurant for our wedding anniversary. What an amazing experience! We started off with the chef's choice nigiri, which we had never had before. Each piece was delicious! We both got drinks: him a beer, and I got the claus-mopolitan. Yummy!! Then we split the Barramundi: sea bass cooked in parchment paper. Oh my god, it was so good! The potato croquettes were very good, but they have Sweet Baby Ray's on them. Wasn't expecting that! This was an amazing experience and we look forward to coming back in the future

Shakou was a very good experience overall.
Friendly staff. Quick and easy seating for a Sunday evening dinner.
The food was good. I had a few nigiri sushi, and i was a little let down. Yes, the fish was good. However, the flavor wasn't really their. Just seemed to be a little lacking. However, the fish was of the of highest quality.
I also ordered a sushi roll ( pink panther ) and that was outstanding! Very flavorful and delicious.
Food came out in a timely manner.
The price was a little high though.

The service here is absolutely wonderful and welcoming. From the atmosphere to the perfectly plated dishes, it is phenomenal from start to finish. Staff treats you like family and genuinely cares for each customer. If you run into any issues at all during your visit management goes above and beyond to not only solve whatever issue is at hand, but to make sure your experience is still wonderful at the same time. I honestly can not recommend this place enough and it will forever be one of my favorite go-to’s.

My all time favorite sushi place, and I’ve been to many sushi places. I spent 10 days in Japan this summer and still couldn’t find better sushi than what you get here in Moto i Moto St. Charles. The best roll by far is the Dynamite. With its explosive flavor and quality ingredients, it delivers exactly the taste you’d hope for. All of their other specialty rolls pretty much also always meet expectations. Their wasabi and ginger is of high quality and they know how to make a Shirley temple. They music and service creates a really nice place to have a fun or even intimate dinner experience. Be careful though, as it can get pretty busy every once in a while. But in between dinner and lunch hours it’s very available.

I’m new to the area and decided to stop in after seeing their sushi special — and I’m glad I did. The restaurant was very busy, but the service never slipped. What really stood out to me was the manager, Tyler. You could tell right away he was the backbone of the operation. He was everywhere — helping servers, supporting the bartenders, even delivering drinks himself.
Having worked in restaurants, I know the difference between managers who step up and those who leave it all to the staff. Tyler was hands-on, making sure every table in the restaurant was taken care of, including mine. Honestly, he came by our table more often than the server just to check on us, which really impressed me.
The food was fabulous, the atmosphere was lively, and the service was excellent thanks to a true leader running the floor. This place is a gem — I’ll definitely be back!

My first time coming here with friends and it was great! We didn’t need a reservation. My food was good but I think my two friends would’ve liked to try something else. They ordered the Korean fried chicken, potstickers, and vegetable rolls. I had the beef ramen. Hot plates and we didn’t have to wait that long to get our food. The blueberry mocktails were okay, not our favorite. The service was great and the atmosphere was amazing! Such a nice place to eat at.

We each had different stir fry dishes and although the flavors were okay they just didn't have a freshly prepared taste. Both selections tasted as if they were prepared in advance and heated using a microwave oven as the chicken and steak were chewy. They tasted okay but that was it. This review is only based on their Happy Hour menu. Went to the St. Charles location on a Friday . They also have So. Barrington and Burr Ridge locations.
We sat in the bar for Happy Hour (Mon-Fri 3-6) and it was not too crowded at 430pm.
They offer wines for 4.00,16oz Sapporo Draft for 3.00..Yes 3.00! As well as a selection of craft cocktails for 8.00.
The Happy Hour food menu consists of rolls,lettuce wraps,Tempura Shrimp and a few more items. Prices are super reasonable .
We had the Chicken Lettuce Wraps which were very good but would have liked more sauce. I guess we could have asked for a small cup of extra sauce so our mistake.
The Yakitori Beef was juicy and tender glazed with a teriyaki sauce.
My favorite was the Las Vegas roll..a panko crusted roll with a crab mix,cream cheese and jalapeno topped with a spicy seafood mix and tempura flakes drizzled with spicy mayo and unagi sauce. Fantastic and only 10.00!
If you can make it to Happy Hour,give them a try..you will not be disappointed.

At first I thought it was not very good, because the sushi wasn't very tasty and it seemed really empty, dark, and dingy. I kept going because my kid loved the novelty of the boats, though. Now the whole staff knows us and welcomes us like family when we walk in. The waitresses get our drinks ready without asking and the sushi chef starts putting my daughter's favorite sushi on the boats.
Now I realize that my first impression was influenced by the fact that we were going around 2-3pm, which is slow for any restaurant. Let me tell you, the difference between fresh sushi vs. sushi that has been floating around for awhile is out of this world. Their fresh sushi is phenomenal. I'd recommend going exactly at noon or around dinnertime because there are a lot more people, so the atmosphere is more lively and the floating sushi is nice and fresh.
One of my favorite things about this place is that all of the plates are the same price, so you don't have to fixate on the color of the plate like you do at other rotating sushi places. I have not yet tried their hibachi dinners, but dining here has become such a special treat for our family that I surely will someday.

We are a takeout customer and really wanted to like this place due to close proximity to our home and very good pricing. One time, we ordered over $200 of food for our family event and the restaurant missed presenting all the orders at the time of pick-up, resulting in another trip back to the restaurant to retrieve the rest. The variety of the menu is astounding. The freshness of the fish is great;the salmon melts in your mouth. The gyoza is okay, it was a little more crunchy than I cared for. The takoyaki is delicious. The food is made quickly and is super hot. We got a free dessert with a strawberry topping with a brownie. The richness of the brownie was very good and balanced out the tartness of the strawberry. The reason for the 4 out of 5 stars was the service. The service was slower and not at the bar one would expect for a sushi place. The one server was very new, and tonight was swamped so I can't blame them, but there were times we were just sitting for 10 to 20 minutes trying to get the servers attention. I'm sure it'll get better over time; we plan on coming back out in 6 months time to see how it goes. The tea is delicious! The staff is super friendly and the ambiance is lovely- casual and eclectic yet very driven towards one theme.

Been going to this restaurant for quite some time, to support local businesses other than the big chains. We will not be going back. In the last 6 orders we have some issues on three of them, thought it could have been an off day. Well today ordered Sweet and Sour Chicken along wit Beef with Green Peppers and Tomato. The chicken was far from crunchy, it was so soft and tasteless. The beef had vegetables that were well done close to being on the burnt side. In fairness they offer to get another order, should have been correct the 1st time. I will not be going back and treating good customers like this will not keep them in business very long. There are a lot more Chinese restaurants in the area that will be getting my business going forward.

Went to Mr. Hibachi for lunch. Not only was the service excellent, the food was even better. Wasn't very busy around lunch time and we were seated immediately. We had frequented Mr Hibachi when they were at a much smaller spot in Elgin. They grew up and out of that location and moved to St Charles. Last night was our first trip to the new locale. The restaurant is big, open and somewhat airy. We were looking for sushi but they also had a good amount of customers at the hibachi tables. We ordered the very very good non-traditional Crab Rangoon and a few rolls. All was excellent and served pretty fast. The only downside at Mr Hibachi is as of May '22 they do not yet have a liquor license. Good experience here, we'll DEFINITELY be back.

BEST WINGS IN TOWN! I paid a visit to them when they first opened and have to admit that I wasn’t totally impressed. However I take the blame for most of that. I tried their boneless wings and I’m much more of a traditional wing (bone-in) person. For ME I don’t like a lot of breading on my wings and their boneless have too much in my opinion, but ask my family who prefers boneless and they love them and will tell you that they are the best quality boneless (and tenders) around. I absolutely love their traditional wings and their flavors. Mild and buffalo are my favorites…I’m a purist…and I love that I can order just drums or flats for a small upcharge. Their house made ranch and bleu cheese are absolutely delicious as well. And please don’t sleep on the Sha-Bang fries…and lastly, the customer service is always top notch!!!

The wings are prepared perfectly! Baked on sauce, not just slathered over the wing like some other wing places with initials b w. The chicken quality is way better too, plump, meaty and juicy. DELICIOUS 😋 the service was very friendly. They have many different flavors from mild to super spicy, I had soy garlic wings and they were very tasty. Wings are their specialty, but they do have egg rolls and a chicken sandwich on the menu. The atmosphere is simple with table and chairs nothing special but you are able to dine in. It is counter service. For the owners I would recommend some tv's maybe just to give it a warmer feel. Overall wings are fantastic! And will be making it my new go-to wing place!
