The food is good for large portions, however this is reflected in the price you pay. The quality of the food was quite variable, even within the same dish. They each picked their favourite milkshakes again, and I have to say, they really are top-tier—thick, creamy, and full of flavour. Definitely the highlight of the visit! We all had burgers—I went for the Marilyn Monroe Classic Burger with golden fried onions. It was tasty, and you can tell some thought goes into the presentation, but I did feel the portion size was on the smaller side for the price. The nachos were another bit of a letdown—lacking the usual cheesy, saucy toppings that make nachos a go-to snack. However, what really made the visit enjoyable was the **friendly and welcoming staff. They were great with the kids, very attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit. The diner itself was super clean and had a fun, American-style atmosphere that the kids loved. We finished off the trip by letting the kids choose some of their favourite American candy to take home—which they were thrilled about. All in all, the milkshakes and service really stood out. I’ve gone past many times and thought it looked good. I walked in the door was eventually greeted by a waitress (not very welcoming) shown to a table and given a menu. From walking through the door to leaving, the team were fantastic. Explained about our rooms and any questions we may have. The rooms are comfy and clean with comfortable beds and an excellent shower. The food is amazing. I told the waitresses that I'm celiac and the team really made me comfortable with an allergen menu and pointing out the ingredients in items on the menu. Breakfast is also excellent (I've never eaten so much good food in such a short space of time), with a good variety and, again gluten free and vegan options to cater for all. Stayed for 2 nights as a break in a journey to Cornwall. Room very comfortable, spotless and spacious. Beds very comfortable. Fan provided and even a hot water bottle for cooler nights. The staff are caring and will bend over backwards to help you. This week I was celebrating a graduation and my wife celebrating her birthday and when we arrived at the pub with my parents they had not only left us a card each on our table from all the staff but three members of staff also came out with a birthday cake to sing to my wife. Opened up the bag , Fries were stone cold ,burgers was stone cold , both the meals we had were cold this is not what you would expect i was really angry & disappointed.i was too mad & angry to go back and complain because you shouldn't have too food isn't cheap anyway these days. These meals ended up in the bin the only thing that was ok was the drinks , I won't be going back
