Brass Fox has a full separate vegan menu with a large variety of items to choose from, pizza, burgers, tacos, sides, and dessert. The location was beautiful, colorful building right off the River Vartry, lovely place to take a walk before or after dinner! The ambiance of the restaurant was pretty cool, it was a fun place to eat and we really appreciated the outdoor seating. Both Sandi and I enjoyed our food, everything was very tasty overall. The "chicken wings" didn't resemble wings in any way, I believe they were just chicken nuggets but I could be mistaken. The sauce they used was really tasty so the dish overall was a win. Our chicken tacos were good, three tacos filled with chicken goujan, rocket, house made salsa, crispy onion, chili and basil pesto. The best way I can describe the goujan is akin to a breaded chicken patty cut into equal strips. All of the components came together really way to make three delicious and filling tacos. Their vegan Oreo Biscoff Sundae was *chefs kiss*. If you're driving through the Wicklow area, definitely make some time to drop by and enjoy all the vegan goodness the Brass Fox has to offer.

The staff is very friendly also and lots of seating spaces available which is comfy for the little ones to walk around a little bit. I had the vegetarian pizza and it was absolute yum. Situated in the heart of Wicklow town, it's as authentic as you're going to find outside Italy. The setting and service are welcoming, friendly, and convivial, while the menu, food and drink are first class. However at dinner time on a Wednesday I guess it was strange there was only one person there instead of a few tables full which is typical for this area. We ordered, and right away the owner/waitress went into a back closet and I heard a microwave start, I automatically thought could she be microwaving our food but I then convinced myself that she must have taken a break quick to warm up her dinner. I was mistaken, she later arrived with our food from the same closet in the back (we could hear her pressing the buttons and putting the next item in) instead of the kitchen. I was shocked, however, we did not want to be rude so we stayed and ate, you could tell the chicken had been microwaved as it had that rubbery taste to it, I still ate it because to be honest I was starving and could’ve ate anything. The chicken tikki masala was very sweet as if it was made out of coconut milk. When I bit the last piece of naan I soon realized there was multiple pieces of hair on the naan and I immediately felt sick to my stomach. The other dish the other person at my table barely ate, the sauce for that was good, however microwaved seafood seemed like a bad idea, and instead of offering it for take away she brought it back to the same closet (we did not want it for take away anyways however this made me think it may be re-served to a different guest, so be very cautious). The owner also was very open, maybe too much so about her personal/family life and asking us to make a decision for her, however maybe that is just a preference of if you like to get to know that type of thing when you are eating out. She was very sweet and kept trying to offer us complimentary things, however after the microwave, the hair, and over sharing we really just wanted to go home. Overall the staff is very friendly, however I would not recommend this place based off of the quality of food and the cleanliness.

Not an ok attitude for a restaurant to have when we’re paying €100+. The food took so long overall we took dessert to go because we had already paid for the food and needed to leave. Very disappointing for a restaurant we have been to many times and really enjoyed before. Hoping this is an off-day for Jack Whites but it has put me off returning here again

This Hotel is a gem. The service is incredible and the location very pretty. Birdwatchers can enjoy watching the finches, robins , blue tits, great tits and other small birds swooping onto the various bird feeders placed around the garden. We will be returning to the Hotel early next year.

Every meal we had (dinner, B&B) was great, a well designed menu, tasty, well cooked with lots of the vegetables coming directly from their own garden to plate. We didn’t wait long for food at all. Ended up getting pizzas and they were delicious, we then finished of with an ice cream which were probably the best 99 I had as they weren’t creamy ice creams as usual sold across Ireland, lots of toppings to choose from and we’re big for their price too! Definitely will be coming back and it’s worth it to stop by :)
