But we were nothing but pleasantly surprised. The hotel is really well located along a picturesque path between Zlatni Rat Beach and Bol. The hotel is quite large but clean and there is lots to do. Staff are friendly and helpful. Bedrooms are clean and comfortable although a pair of slippers and ironing board would have been good. Food was excellent, both breakfast and dinner. Lots of choice for our family of 2 adults and 2 children (6 and 9). We loved the pools and both my husband and I used the gym. We had a great few days here on our tour of Croatia.

The price for the whole meal was high considering the quality. Not a great experience. The restaurant advertises as veg vegan and raw friendly but the waiter apologised and said that changed 2 months ago and they haven't updated the advertising. The beer was really flat and undrinkable but this my be a local speciality. Things looked up when we were bought a cabbage salad and bread 'on the house' but the salad turned out to be really rancid, unfortunately only independently confirmed after my third mouthful. Feeling queasy and not sure if we should just bail now as no confidence the mains will be safe or appetising. Read my obit to see what happens or else see if there is a follow up. ...update after mains... Waiter said he tried the cabbage and it was fine but may had gone ' a bit sour'. My forest mushroom risotto (the only veg option on the menu!) was edible but something like I'd cook from a packet at home. The mushrooms most definitely had not come from anywhere near a forest though the truck from the supermarket my have passed through one. So to conclude dont come here if you are expecting anything fresh and veg like. Cant comment on the sea food which may be great!

We stopped at this place after deciding that, our first choice, one that was recommended by our hotel, was not a great fit for us. And boy, am I so glad that we stopped here. Through a common misunderstanding, I accidentally ordered the wrong dish. The restaurant was so accommodating to this mistake, even though it was my fault. I ordered the pasta with prawns, and it was absolutely delicious. The restaurant even worked hard to move everybody once it started raining a little bit, as I am sure it does not rain a lot in Brač, in September. The house wine is also incredible. For about €14 you can get a liter of wine. I’m not sure why my hotel did not recommend this restaurant over our original option, but I told our hotel to put this restaurant on their list. This restaurant has great food, great service, a low-key, romantic atmosphere, and a great view of the Adriatic Sea. Definitely would recommend.
