FAVORITE Thai Restaurant in the QC Area!! My wife and I absolutely love this place. We have had Thai food from very many places and this is at the top. The Food is incredible! Service even when busy is as fast as they can get. And I love the small two person booths! Start with the Pork Dumplings and/or Fresh Rolls both are delicious. I usually get the Pad Kee Mao with Duck, it is one of the best wide noodled dices I've had. My wife loves their Gra Pow and Panang Curry, I've had bites of both and I definitely recommend them too. Military Discount btw! Awesome place, definitely a Must visit!

Excellent. Our go to for Thai food in the QC. We usually get it delivered and it's always hot. I generally get a curry, either the panang, red or green. Had the green this evening and it warmed the belly food. Wife always has the pad thai, which she likes. Too sweet for me, but that is pad thai. Also had the Thai iced tea, which was excellent and really hit the spot.
It's so hard trying new places here as it seems most of the time the food ends up underwhelming. And when you spend $40+ for a meal, being dissatisfied is terrible. So when we find a place that is good we stay with it.

I've been a resident of the Quad Cities as a child of two ARMY Vetrans and now a child of two Rock Island Arsenal Base retirees as well.
I went out to Arizona and came back in June of 2022 to find that my favorite Exotic Thai location on John Deer, the one across the street from the Moline Wal-Mart, had disappeared on me...
Fast forward to me wandering around the revamped down town Rock Island District Area (looks fantastic btw) and BOOM 💥

It's 11:00, its open. Im helped immediately by a kind staff member named Annie who smiled at the reference to Micahel Jackson as well as Orphan Annie.
I was assisted in choosing between Thai Tea and Thai Coffe (4 dollars for either) and I asked "Which is orange?"
Thai Tea for those that dont know.
Anyway,
They were so patient with me as I spoke to my prayer partner who resides in Decatur, Georgia as a Missionary and President of our church — Higher Calling Ministries — i raved to her about the food while she read 📚 Jeremiah chapter 7 in EASY Version as well as KJV version, prayed for us, listened to me suggest for her dishes she herself could try at her own Thai restaurants (of all things she tried a BBQ steak lol)
Anyway I was so overjoyed I had to pause before I even left or paid to write this review.
They didnt interrupt my praise, the food was made like so quickly I forgot i even ordered it i didn't have to wait, it was fresh, omg I cant give enough stars!!

It's a hidden gem in a quiet area. Despite the very empty surroundings, the small downtown area is endearing. The place was empty, except for a couple of patrons, but the staff was friendly. The food, especially the perfectly done Tom Kha soup, was excellent - we liked that it didn’t have too much coconut in it. The Sample Platter, Pork and Chicken skewers, and Pineapple Chicken were delicious.
The restaurant has a few booths, then a larger area in the back for a larger party, and the cutest most romantic set of about 6, two-people seating areas that are in these small cozy booths. I have never seen anything like that.
The service was relaxed and friendly. We would definitely return and highly recommend it.

Came here on Easter Sunday. They weren't busy, but were pretty steady. The staff was very attentive, the food came out fast, drinks were always filled, and the food was absolutely delicious!!! I got the Gaeng Hang Lay which is not a common dish served in typical Americanized Thai restaurants. IT WAS AMAZING!!! It definitely reminded me of my mom's growing up, and brought back so many good memories. I will most certainly be back to try everything else! Looking forward to the Khao Soi!

This place would have had five stars if it wasn’t for the service. Probably not the servers fault but poor management. She was the only server I saw the entire time.
After I got seated it took a good 10 minutes for the server to come over. When she did I was at least ready so I ordered the spicy Basil and a beer. After about another ten minutes and still no beer I had to go upfront and get it.
The food came out and was delicious. I loved the food.
After the food I finally saw the server again and asked for my check. Took forever to get it. She was very apologetic and I’m pretty sure she needed help. Either way it needs to be addressed.

We recently spent a weekend in the Quad Cities, and had the pleasure to have dinner here.
The service and the food were fantastic. Scott made us feel welcome like family. He was knowledgeable and his recommendations were spot on. From the Appetizer, to the Meat Salad, to my Duck Curry and her Pork Belly and Sticky Rice.
On a side note, it was the birthday weekend for my significant other. They overheard our mention of this and brought out this ridiculous Thai Custard. Just when we thought it impossible to eat anything else, this treat was other worldly and irresistible.

So...I used to live in Rock Island in the mid to late 80's and one of my favorite places we would eat at often is Pizza and Subs. My first time back to Rock Island was July 2025. My first stop in town was Pizza and Subs. Can you see the excitement on my face?! We had cheesy garlic bread to start. I had 2 slices of pizza (sausage and taco) and I was transported back to 1987 in all the best ways! It was here that I began my LOVE of pizza ❤️ My husband had an Italian sub and loved it so much. He has had many a sub all over the country, and he was so happy with his. The bread was so soft! My daughter had the pesto supreme. Pesto is the besto 💚 My family and I met Lisa (found out we went to the same school at the same time) and she was so welcoming and made me feel like I was back at home. We bought some Gramma Rose's sauce to take home and I wear my Pizza and Subs shirt proudly. Wow, I truly hit the nostalgic jackpot coming back here and I could not be happier that I was able to come back and go to Pizza and Subs. Thank you SO much Lisa, you made my dreams come true ❤️

Pizza was very good. I'm not from the area, so the I am not a huge fan of the "Quad City style" (the same as St Louis style as near as I can tell...) but this was as good as I've had.
Girl who took my order on the phone was hard to understand and the people in the store weren't overly friendly, but I was happy to get my pie and get back to my hotel room and eat.
Speaking of which, I asked about delivery and was surprised that they wouldn't deliver to my hotel which was only about a 5-6 minute drive away.
In the end, I'd order from there again.

Legitimately some of the best food I have ever had in my life, and I have had my fair share. Every bite was an experience of it's own, I found myself getting absolutely lost in the sauce - that is to say, the raspberry compote that came with my waffle was heavenly. I live over 5 hours away and will absolutely be driving back just to eat here. It's a great place for a date, a casual meal, a life-changing culinary experience, and a meal-long ascension to Nirvana. Went with family and friends and food was good, but I don’t understand why the cinnamon pancakes aren’t on the menu. The outside says “home of the cinnamon pancakes” and there are images of them on every window.. but not a single mention of the pancakes on the menu at all. Not even under the pancake flavors. Would have liked a little more cinnamon sugar flavor on the pancakes but I did appreciate how they were not over powering sweet with the frosting! For being called a coffee house as well, would have liked more options besides hot and black coffee. Bacon was nice and crisp and eggs were cooked well. Very generous portions.

Clean place. Fantastic cinnamon pancakes. The light cream cheese topping is sooo good! Couldn't eat the corned beef hash. Flavor good but I can't eat meat interlaced with fat & tissue. I should have known. This is the real-deal hash if u want that. Waitress, Helena was extra polite. She noticed it was barely touched and took it off the bill. She was attentive and professional.
I give their perfect cup of coffee an A+. I highly recommend this place.

Walking in, I expected a crowd and a busy scene , maybe a marching band. Instead? Empty. Like, tumbleweed empty. Just a hidden gem apparently. Their loss, my gain!
I ordered the baby back ribs dinner plate, because when in Rib Haven, you don’t order anything else. These ribs? Oh man. Fall-off-the-bone doesn’t do them justice. These things practically signed their own eviction notice before I even picked them up. Perfectly smoked, tender, and kissed by a spicy (but not too spicy) sauce that flirted with vinegar, got sweet for a second, and then hit you with a peppery wink. It was thin, more of a BBQ glaze than your classic thick sauce but honestly? It worked. There was plenty of it too, perfect for sopping up with the two slices of buttered white bread they tossed on the plate like they knew exactly what I was about to do.
The mac and cheese? Creamy, reliable, but like that coworker who shows up, does the job, and leaves without making small talk. Solid, but it knew it wasn’t the star of this show. The green beans though? Oh, they showed up. Seasoned beautifully with a smoky whisper that made me wonder if they’d been secretly hanging out by the smoker out back.
Every bite was a mini celebration of flavor, and the fact that I didn’t have to elbow anyone out of the way to get it? Priceless.

I took my entire family here. We were 9 adults deep and had 3 kids and 1 baby. My cousin and I were nervous because of some recent bad reviews, however, my grandmother was in town and this is the spot she wanted to go for family dinner. First off, Shout Out to Tiana, she is an exceptional waitress and took very good care of us. She was very considerate of the kids and very kind the entire time we were there. We kind of took over the whole place but everyone was so nice and made sure we enjoyed our family dinner. The food was DELICIOUS! The BBQ sauce did not disappoint, everything came out HOT, and we ordered SO MUCH. Even with everything we ordered it was very affordable. I was expecting to drop WAY more money on this dinner. So Grandma picked a great place. Definitely will be going back when I return to town since my best friend lives 4 mins away.

I can't believe I never thought to review this place! I have been here many times when traveling through Iowa, and it NEVER disappoints.
As I've hopefully remembered to say in other pizza reviews of mine, if a place has pizza, I try it. No matter where I visit, my go to is pizza, because I dont like too much fast food and even the worst pizza is edible, unless you go to Barnes or Mercy hospitals in St.Louis, ha! Oh also, mcdonald's in chicago had pizza. It was horrifying. Never. Ever. Do it.
Sorry, moving on. Harris pizza is unique and awesome. I add an 1.5 hrs to my drive when I travel to Duluth, MN because i always have to stop here and that requires different highway routes. IT IS WORTH IT EVERY TIME!
Many people don't know that Iowa has it's own type of pizza. A thin but crispy crust that is almost cararmelized, a zesty and tangy smooth sauce, and a generous helping of cheese and toppings. They have a unique crumble sausage that absolutely awesome and literally the only brand of pizza of which Ill eat a plain sausage pizza. The rest of their toppings are equal in quality. I cannot wait for my upcoming trip.
As a side note, they have the best left over pizza too and the best cold pizza when left over. It is also a cool spot because of its history. People in the quad cities have eaten there for like 3 generations now. I visited my now ex girlfriend's grandparents with her family, and when her mom went to Harris', it was really cool to see the employees and i believe it was the owner that was there and he knew her by first name despite her no longer living in the quads.

Went with a friend and we both had the Pork Tenderloin. I had their homade potatoe chips with garlic dip and my friend had the onion rings. Chicken strips and onions rings. That was pretty good. Our family is from just outside of Chicago so we have tried several thin crust pizzas in our area. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED PIZZA JOINT!!
New to the quad city's area from MSP and was looking for a new pizza joint to enjoy. Our neighbors highly recommended Alfonso's Pizza and glad that we took her up on her recommendation.
We decided to order one regular style pizza and one deep dish pizza just too try the two different styles. The regular pizza was good but nothing amazing. We ordered a medium onion and green pepper that was tasty but again just good average Pizza.
The second pizza that we ordered was a small deep dish pizza. This was a sausage and mushroom pizza that was INCREDIBLE! Maybe one of the top three best deep dish pizzas I've ever had and that includes all the pizza joints that I've had in Chicago.
Overall experience was fantastic even with the struggle to place an order over the phone because the phone lines ARE ALWAYS BUSY which is a good sign I suppose 🤷♂️ Service was great, staff were super helpful and super friendly. Pizza was amazing and overall could not have asked for a better customer service experience. You now have a NEW CUSTOMER FOR LIFE. 5 ⭐ 🍕
The only negative that (does not) take away from their five star rating is that it's in a bad neighborhood so a word to the wise if you're parking and dining in. Lock up your vehicle.

I am from out of state and wanted to give this place a try. I got the tuna sandwich, and it was bland and tasteless. They just took the tuna and threw it on a tasteless bread with no lettuce or any other condiments. The curly fries were tasteless. I took a few bites of the tuna and fries and literally threw it away in the garbage. Would never return here. I would never go anywhere else for a tuna sandwich except Jimmy John's.

I’ve been a loyal customer at Mulkey’s for years, and it’s hands down one of the best family-owned restaurants in the Quad Cities! The food is always fantastic, and you can feel the love and care they put into every dish. I highly recommend the Henny Penny chicken, it’s a must-try! The biscuits and gravy are some of the best I’ve ever had, and the hot turkey sandwich is a classic favorite. Also, don’t miss the stuffed green pepper, it’s absolutely delicious! I’ve never had a bad experience here, and it’s definitely a Quad Cities staple. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and check it out!

The service was exemplary as they were just getting ready for their nightly business-open 4p-8p Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Atmosphere was friendly and you can feel the “family” in family business. Nice break from the “corporate” hum drum you find in many places. I will definitely be back. Dined in. Seems like an old outdated family restaurant and the decor shows it. The food that should have been in the back was sitting on the breakfast bar area 😳 uncovered.. coleslaw should be refrigerated.. was on the bar, side salad in a large tub on the bar.. very unappealing.
