Chonburi

Chon Buri is a Thai province set on the country’s eastern Gulf of Thailand coast. South of the provincial capital, also called Chon Buri, the coastline is lined with popular beaches. Among them is Pattaya, a long-standing resort town with a seafront promenade, restaurants, shopping malls and a busy, neon-lit nightlife zone that includes cabaret bars and clubs.

Sanctuary of Truth is a 20-story complex made entirely of hand-hewn wood carvings, still under construction but open for tours. Similar to the Tibetan sand mandala art, this massive teak structure is a blend of architecture and philosophy, depicting lessons from various religions emphasizing respect for elders, choosing company wisely, and treating others well. It serves as a remarkable place for reflection on higher ideals and the impermanence of life.
The Sanctuary of Truth is absolutely breathtaking. The entire building is made of intricately carved wood, and seeing the craftsmanship up close is incredible. The guided tour was informative and helped explain the symbolism behind the design. The seaside location adds a peaceful atmosphere, and the photos came out amazing. There is some ongoing construction, but it actually makes the experience even more interesting since you can watch artisans working in real time. Overall, one of the most unique and memorable attractions in Pattaya. Highly recommended!

Amazing place. Loved all the wooden sculpture. I was pleasantly surprised by this place - wasn't expecting much before my visit. I spent a whole afternoon here. They artisans have done a great job. I spoke to some of the staff who were busy carving wooden items and most of them were Burmese - I have posted the video of the Burmese workers carving the wood. I recommend the sanctuary of truth for anyone who visits Pattaya. There are quite a lot of tourists here but it's still worth the visit. The gardens around the complex are peaceful and beautiful.

If you ever go to Pattaya, This place is a must visit. You may think it's just a temple but once you look at it with your own eyes, you will change your perspective about it. The art in the temple is commendable. Every inch here makes you wonder. Can't even imagine how they made it all the way. Most importantly they never used any concrete or civil joining items to make this temple, it's just wooden joint technique which holds this massive temple. Even 6 hours won't be enough to admit it's architecture beauty. Must must must visit place, never miss it.

Absolutely stunning! The Sanctuary of Truth is one of the most breathtaking places I’ve ever visited. The entire structure is hand-carved wood, and every corner has incredible detail and symbolism. It feels more like stepping into a living piece of art than visiting a temple. If you’re in Pattaya, this is a must-visit.
레오이즘 L — Google review
I would have given 4 starts if it was not so expensive! This used to be free as it should be for a place of worship and not exploiting the tourists. 500 baht is a very big amount! All the temples are using the tourists to make big money. I would understand reasonable entrance fee but 14 euro is too much! Also the staff is hustle and you are obligated to go via a tour guide and special hours with your chosen language. We preferred to see the place on our own and in peace. Also very expensive restaurant. They even charged us 10 baht for ice in our very overpriced drinks we bought. All the statues are half naked but people are obligated to cover up, this part we did not get at all.
Parisa D — Google review
I really recommend visiting at night, as it’s calmer, less noisy, and of course, cooler. The guide was truly knowledgeable, funny, and patient. You’ll be amazed at how a place so full of intricate details can be entirely handcrafted. The site has an incredible spiritual aura, perfect for both artistic and spiritual reflection, while also offering the chance to learn more about different cultures and new information

Any trip to Pattaya is not complete if one doesn’t visit the Sanctuary of Truth Museum. It’s an astonishingly beautiful structure which is made entirely of wood and has wonderful sculptures and wooden carvings inside teaching the visitors the philosophy of life. One can also try out the Thai Traditional costume for an hour and take pictures. There are different activities within the vicinity of this museum that visitors can try like feeding the animals, horse riding, boating etc and also a number of cafés and restaurants to satisfy your food cravings, as well as a souvenir shop if one wants to buy souvenirs.
Amenla L — Google review
An amazing structure which is well worth the visit. A one hour tour but you could spend another 2-3 hours admiring the architecture and carvings. There are food stalls and foot massages available and an amazingly tranquil river next to the temple grounds to have a nice meal and drink while soaking in the atmosphere. It was quite a trip from Bangkok city but well worth the effort to view it. Only drawback is that they have animal rides in the form of horses and elephants and I feel sad for the forlorn looking animals made to serve so that their masters can earn some money. Temple wise - it's absolutely majestic. From the same people who designed the awesome White Temple in Chiangrai.

Gardens
Nong Nooch Botanical Garden is a sprawling 500-acre attraction that offers a diverse range of experiences. In addition to its themed gardens showcasing Thai culture, it features elephant shows and rides, as well as a variety of dining options. The garden is one of the largest botanical gardens in Southeast Asia and boasts an array of plant species, including orchids, bonsai trees, and cacti. Visitors can also enjoy performances, activities, and even explore a small zoo within the expansive grounds.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Nong Nooch Garden is a beautiful place in Pattaya and really worth the visit. The gardens are huge with so many zones — orchids, cactus, French style, and even dinosaur valley. Everything is well kept and perfect for photos. There are cultural shows, elephant shows, and a sightseeing tram if you don’t want to walk too much. Lots of food options inside too. The ticket price is fair. If you book online on sites like Trip.com, it’s even cheaper. Best to plan at least half a day here because there’s so much to see. Tips: Go early, wear comfy shoes, and bring sun protection. Some people may not like the animal shows, so keep that in mind. Overall, I had a great time — beautiful, relaxing, and very good value. Highly recommend! 🌿✨

Well one of the must visit place in Pattaya. You can visit here with your family or friends and spend some quality time. It is away from the main city ,you can book a cab or any group tour. But you can easily get Grab/bolt. This place needs your full day to explore. This place is good for childrens. Tickets should be book in advance.
Abhishek S — Google review
If you are three lover and interested in knowing different varieties of tree plants, flowers, this is the place for you to go. It’s huge categorised in proper manner. Be ready to walk more. Spend time over there or else you can just take a tour from outside (you won’t be able to see much from outside). The elephant show place is also nearby, so if you are planning to go over there, then take little extra time to visit there as well. It can be a day affair.
Megha S — Google review
The one of the best tour scene for foreigners. It’s not only the gardens, but there are so many artistic works on the walking zones. We encountered the heavy rain during the day which, however, we were dry due to covered sky gardens. The food in the cafeteria was good and the drink is perfect made. The dinosaur zone is vivid and educational. Amazing that I never saw such around the world. The best price, of course are comprehensive one in the world. In the addition the folk dance show as well as the elephant show are so well organized, and the elephants are well trained and so awesome in that and very entertaining. I would recommend to come next time with the kids or grandkids. Unfortunately, we don’t have enough time to finish all to comers. I highly recommend to everybody who stays few days in Pattaya.
John Z — Google review
For the show in the theater, only the first part of it worth seeing, showing about the traditional Thai provience clothing's and dance. The second part is some old pop song with fancy dancers. Other places of this garden is too big to walk, although you can take the sightseeing mini bus, but only you will see some concrete dino and animal statue. Food inside is good and cheap, no worries.

Amazing place with Art of Intelligence...... Its a suitable to all where you have cultural show , elephant show , park visit , various plants / trees , amazing art work advanced technology used for demonstration. ... Fabulous.... As much as garden is impressive and I really enjoyed visiting it, I didn't realise they keep elephants on hand and they let people ride them. I cannot watch cruelty like that! I got really upset when I saw staff member training young elephant to be ridden on and was hitting it with a stick in the head. Poor animals so abused and frightened. Garden might be the most amazing, I post photos, but I will never visit it again. Not contributing to animal cruelty

I think Nong Nooch Tropical Garden sounds absolutely spectacular! From what I’ve seen, it’s more than just a garden—it’s an immersive experience with meticulously designed landscapes, themed gardens, and vibrant tropical plants everywhere you look. It seems like the kind of place where you can wander for hours, discovering something new at every turn, and the attention to detail makes it feel both magical and serene. Honestly, it’s the type of garden that makes you appreciate the beauty of nature on a whole new level.

Zoo
When in Chonburi, a visit to Sriracha Tiger Zoo is a must, especially if you're traveling with kids. Situated in Racha District along the shoreline of Chonburi, this zoo boasts an impressive population of around 200 tigers and approximately 10,000 crocodiles, making it one of the largest collections of these animals. Visitors can enjoy entertaining shows featuring intelligent animals and benefit from ample parking space.
The Sriracha Tiger Zoo provides an intriguing blend of wildlife encounters and conservation efforts. Its highlight is undoubtedly the opportunity to interact closely with majestic tigers, complemented by engaging shows that highlight their natural behaviors. The zoo's dedication to breeding and preserving endangered species, notably the Indochinese tiger, is commendable. However, improvements in facility maintenance and crowd management during peak times would enhance the overall visitor experience. Nevertheless, for wildlife enthusiasts and families seeking an unforgettable experience, the Sriracha Tiger Zoo offers a unique and worthwhile destination in Thailand.
Md I — Google review
It’s a quiet place to visit. Main attraction is photo session with Tiger. Also we can spend some time in the gardens
Sarath N — Google review
I came here with mn wife and place is too bad not only visitors but also animals. The cost is also so expensive. Not recommend for at least children. Entrance ticket is around 150 bhat/person but nothing to do for that. It takes around 2000 bhat/person to complete all the activities. Never go this place.
Janith H — Google review
Not quite the experience it once was but getting up close and personal with beautiful tigers is still a worthwhile adventure and the staff do their best to make your visit memorable.
Oysterman 2 — Google review
Never visit here. The animals are chained and drugged for the benefit of your one time selfie. There are plenty of ethical places to visit, and there are more humane ways to donate money if you really want to help. Paying to visit here is putting money into a sadistic and cruel system which only profits the owners and does not help the wellbeing of the animals.
Katie C — Google review
Environment is nice and animals are also enjoying with us
Chetan K — Google review
Terrible conditions for animals, cages and chains on which tigers are chained everywhere. It is scary to watch such exploitation of living animals. Tigers are beaten and forced to teach performances for tourists. please don't visit zoos, I made a terrible mistake, you'd better sign the petition to close them down, release the animals into the wild where they should live or into biological reserves.
Moja M — Google review
Well you can delete my review but i will keep spreading that visiting this 'zoo' is: ANIMAL ABUSE. PLEASE USE YOUR BRAIN AND DO NOT VISIT THIS PLACE! Tigers are wild animals.. they are not supposed to be cuddled.. or chained. Or drugged.

Wildlife and safari park
Nestled in the picturesque province of Chonburi, Khao Kheow Open Zoo is a must-visit destination for animal lovers and adventure seekers alike. This remarkable safari park showcases an impressive array of over 300 species, including majestic African mammals, tigers, and playful apes. What sets this zoo apart is its open-concept design that allows visitors to interact closely with the animals—feeding them and even enjoying unique experiences like a penguin parade or elephant rides.
Apart from getting that golf cart, everything was smooth. The variety of animals in the green zone was astonishing. The pink zone sadly wasn’t that great. Nevertheless, must visit compared to all those places with animal cruelty. Loved the animal interactions. Would definitely recommend! The bird aviary was awesome. Cage for humans is better than a cage for the birds
Bhavesh T — Google review
Huge open style zoo with lots to see. The best option is to rent a golf cart. We spent two hours shopping between exhibits and saw about 20% of the zoo. The highlights were feeding the deer, seeing Moodeng (baby pygmy hippo), lemur Island, Tiger Valley and the lake - wish we had time to do the zip line! I liked this zoo better than Melbourne zoo, Werribee and Chiang Mai Zoo. If you walk, you will likely only get to see the green zone. However, the pink zone offers some of the better and more picturesque enclosures and a wide variety of animals including a Gaur encloser and massive bird aviary. Downsides. The monkeys are little thieves stealing both our kids icecreams. The penguin enclosure is very dirty and needs renewal as does the space for the penguin show. The road in the pink zone is shared between golf carts and cars/mini buses. It felt like most drivers had road range trying to pass us in the cart. The mini buses also drove aggressively, cutting us off and blocking the road.
Andrew H — Google review
The zoo is very pretty , fun and really big . Had an amazing time with my family . I recommend rent the golf cart which will make your trip even more exciting. Highly recommend to those who want to have close encounters with animals. You can buy feed for the giraffes, elephants , deer , capybara and experience feeding them . We had a wonderful day . Must visit 👍👍
Shilpa S — Google review
Great zoo, a good place to spend the whole day. We bought a tour in Pattaya. Very huge territory. It's hard to understand on your first visit and impossible to walk around everything. Be sure to use the shuttles in the area or rent golf carts. I definitely recommend it! We fed lemurs, giraffes, elephants, rhinos, deer and a lion!
Ilvars T — Google review
I am very happy with the visit to the zoo! Had a leisure walk around and we took almost 7+ hrs (walking) First, tickets, foreigners are at bht350 each adult. If you didn't reserve tickets in advance, buy from a counter prior to entry. The gate staff will be happy to guide your driver if you go by grab. Lots of parking spaces. Take a picture of your ticket just in case. Collect a map of the place to help guide your around. Look out for the show time of the day. Why I truly like this place and areas that may not be to some visitor's expectation: 1. Great open zoo as it's called! Watch the animals at close distance and some without barriers like the deers. 2. Buy food for animals at 30 or 50 BHT depending on types which is really amazing especially for children. 3. Must go: the savannah area! 4. Must go: see Moo Deng! ;) 5. Lots of different species, huge variety, quantity for some species are not many but really enjoyed the variety. 6. Love most: the nature and openness of the zoo. Really fantastic 7. The show may not be like showcase of animals skills but opportunities to feed and see and sometimes touch the animals up close. Really great experience still 8. The show of elephant relaxing is interesting as you can choose to go basement to watch the elephant enjoying inside the water 9. The zoo has many drinks and snacks and lunch places. Had a good coffee at The Hive, right next to the penguin show place. 10. Big space so consider renting the golf cart or electric cart if you need some help with saving leg muscles. The electric cart can only enter the green zone. The zoo has 2 zones, green and red. Green has more species. Red has more areas including training areas/stay and a great tiger village area. The red would require a little more walking as more slopes. The nice weather in Nov really helps with the enjoyment of the zoo. Staff are all very friendly and helpful! Consider bringing food for a little picnic while enjoying the place. But watch out for monkeys as they are freely roaming and may snatch your stuff!
是无名 — Google review
The entrance can be confusing as a foreign visitor. I prebooked a ticket on Klook, then had to redeem it at the small white house a short walk from the entrance. Then I could return to the entrance and turn in that receipt. Zoo is a bit run down but the animals are interesting! I walked but ran out of steam pretty quickly. The tram and golf carts look like great options because you can stop and get off and on frequently. Lots of bathrooms and snack places. Souvenirs aren’t great but they are available.
Ellie N — Google review
I only gave 3 stars as it states it's an Open Zoo, it is for some animals, but others are kept in cramped caged areas. You can rent a self drive Golf cart or small tuk tuk to get around (recommended) as it is spread out over a vast area, too hot and humid to walk around. There are public trams that make the rounds, you can hop on/off, but of course have no control of where you're going. Bolt taxi from Pattaya was around £5 each way, a bargain considering the distance. The carts and tuk tuks are also very cheap to rent.
Mike D — Google review
One of the best zoos that keep animals feel at their homes. Although people are drawn by superstar Moo Deng, but this place has a lot to offer. You can spend one whole day comfortably and it worths your time.

Located on the 34th floor of the Hilton Hotel, above the Central Festival shopping center in downtown Pattaya, Horizon Rooftop Restaurant and Bar is a renowned spot offering stunning views of Pattaya Bay. This stylish rooftop venue serves as both a bar and a fine dining restaurant, providing an elegant ambiance to enjoy delicious cuisine and crafted cocktails while taking in the breathtaking surroundings.
A brilliant spot for sunset cocktails. Stunning views, delicious drinks, sophisticated ambience, great service, and no nonsense pricing. Happy hour cocktails - 450B for 2. Well satisfied. Kudos to the Hilton for putting net prices on the menu. A refreshing and welcome change. Thank you. Recommend the Sea Breeze for refreshing and the Pina Colada for tropical seaside vibe. This is a Pattaya must visit. Enjoy!

Horizon staff is really fantastic! Manager fulfilled my request to reserve the best seat and also helped to keep my present & serve with the complimentary dessert to surprise my wife for our anniversary. She even decorated the plate which my present was served on, maximum service 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿 Waitress Nice was also nice to us throughout the whole evening and made our night a pleasant one. Ambience was of course awesome and the view is chef’s kiss. Food was on a smaller portion size but quality is good. The complimentary chocolate cake dessert is fantastic. Cod is also cooked to perfection.

Got lucky to have a DJ playing that night. Loved the black and white visuals playing. They make a solid old fashioned there. You will be paying quiet a bit for food and drink, but its somewhat expected from a 5 star hotel with a view.

Horizon Hilton Bar Pattaya nails the experience where it counts: sweeping views, expertly mixed drinks, and polished, attentive service. It’s a fantastic spot for sunset cocktails or a celebratory night out. The only miss was the food perfectly passable but not memorable. If they elevate the bar bites to match the cocktails and service, this would be a no-brainer five-star. Until then, go for the skyline, stay for the drinks.

Wonderful Horizon!! One of the best rooftop in Pattaya, on 34F of Hilton hotel, we took more view with one bottle of Prosecco just for observation and enjoy view. The beach view is so beautiful from this angle we love it. Will be back to try more here.

The place is truly incredible for Pattaya. Since I was staying at the Hilton, it was very convenient to access. It’s a great spot to have dinner and enjoy a few glasses of wine before heading out to Walking Street. The oysters were absolutely excellent. The only downside is that the service could be improved a bit, as it’s sometimes hard for the staff to see us in the dark. Pattaya definitely needs more places like this.
Edwin E — Google review
Food is great, place is just tremendously magnificent. You can have a 360° view on all Pattaya. On the outside there is a DJ playing nice music, if you would like to have a more private moment with your group you might also reserve small glass rooms. The only small drawback was the slightly overcooking of the meat in my case was beef and spiny lobster. The lamb was just delicious.

Restaurant
The Sky Gallery is a versatile beach eatery and bar located on Pratumnak Hill, offering a stylish indoor-outdoor dining experience with stunning panoramic ocean views. This multifaceted establishment serves as a restaurant, beach bar, coffee and dessert bar all in one. The international kitchen presents an array of seafood, Thai favorites, and western classics sourced directly from local fishermen.
I recently visited Sky Gallery, and it truly lives up to its reputation as one of the most beautiful dining spots with a stunning sea view. The atmosphere is vibrant and lively, but I must say it was extremely crowded during my visit. It seems to be a very popular place, so it gets busy quickly. Despite the rush, we were lucky enough to get a table without too much waiting, but I would definitely recommend pre-booking a table in advance if you want a smoother experience. The food and drinks were very good, served fresh, and the staff managed everything well considering the crowd. What really stood out was the view—it’s absolutely breathtaking, especially during sunset, and worth the visit on its own. Overall, Sky Gallery is a great place to enjoy a meal with friends or family, but keep in mind that it gets very crowded. Plan ahead and reserve a table to make the most of your time there.

Lovely place with a great view of the beach. It's a big space; we didn't make a reservation. Very nice to be outside to eat. All the dishes were delicious. We loved the squid with an egg sauce. Service is a bit slow, but it's a great place to have lunch and dinner. Will come back!

I would say you’re really paying for the view rather than the food. The view was absolutely amazing, while the food itself was average. Service at the entrance counter could definitely be improved. As non-locals, we weren’t familiar with the booking or entry process, and it would have been nicer if the staff explained it in a more welcoming way. On the positive side, food was served quickly and priced fairly. Overall, definitely worth it for the view!

Nice atmosphere and superb view. I visited in the early evening around 4:30 p.m. — there were still plenty of available seats to choose from. The pomelo spicy salad wasn’t spicy and could use a stronger flavor. The fish and chips were okay, but the chips were too small. The pumpkin soup was fine.

Sky Gallery Pattaya has an excellent ambience with stunning ocean views. The place is perfect to visit around 4 PM and stay until sunset—the scenery is amazing. However, the food was quite average, and the order delivery was very slow, which was disappointing considering the beautiful setup. Great for photos and ambience, but the service and food quality can be improved.

I received a table number at the entrance and went inside. They told me that a staff member would guide me to my seat, so I waited. However, even though I made eye contact and tried to get the attention of several staff members walking around, everyone ignored me. we ended up standing there for quite a while. Since there were plenty of empty tables, it didn’t seem to be a particularly busy time. After finally being shown to a seat, it also took a long time before we could place the order. It would be much better if there were an option to order directly via QR code. I had already seen reviews mentioning poor service, and now I understand why. With such an inefficient system, it’s no wonder the staff seem exhausted. When they’re that tired and frustrated, of course they can’t smile. Their attitude wasn’t rude, but it was clear they were working without any enthusiasm. It also takes an extremely long time for one staff member to take an order. I saw one waiter standing at a table of five for over ten minutes taking orders, which means other customers in that section have to wait even longer. The system for seating guests and taking orders really needs improvement. The serving staff also looked quite lost and anxious while moving around. The food and drinks, however, came out quickly. All the Thai dishes were excellent — truly delicious. But the Western dishes (pasta, steak, and pizza) were disappointing. Just stick with the Thai food!

This place is a little dated and could use and upgrade on their tables and chairs. Also the breakfast buffet was pretty limited. However, the food was very tasty and well seasoned! The coffee made a surprisingly good espresso! Not to mention the total cost of everything was 385 baht... If you're in the area, it's definitely worth visiting. I would give this place an overall "B" rating (only because of the aging furniture)...

Seafood restaurant
Mum Aroi Sriracha is a spacious beachfront eatery that offers a laid-back atmosphere and open-air seating. It specializes in delicious Thai-style seafood and other delectable dishes. The restaurant has been transformed from an old Thai-Chinese establishment into a large seaside venue. Fresh seafood, including live shrimp, mantis shrimp, and lobster, is the highlight of the menu. However, be prepared for higher prices due to the quality of the ingredients used.
A perfect restaurant for dinner! I do recommend this place for your meals. The seafood is fresh and delicious. Dishes served within 10-15 minutes waiting. Staff always take good care. It was a precious time here. I'll be right back over again. 💐👍🏻

Fresh and tasty seafood dishes can be found here. Always super crowded, but they managed to get the foods out pretty quickly. Service staff is great and attentive. Try to avoid peak hours, though, as it might be difficult to find parking spots.

I finally had a sumptuous meal here in Si Racha. Being a seaside town, how can one not have seafood. This seafood restaurant, right by the sea, has an abundance of seafood, live and fresh. The service staff was so professional and good, such that he can always second guess and anticipate what I want and bring the required items to me before I can ask for them. I can't help but tip him at the end of the meal since there were no service charges or tax. Will be back for sure in the future if I do come to this town again.

Came here on weekday afternoon. Less customers, no queue waiting. This branch was good. The foods were served in a large portion. Good and fresh ingredients. Fried squid with shrimpmpaste was the best. Overall foods were well cooked. This branch was much better than a beanch in nearby district especially for the service. Lots of parking lots available

This restaurant has many branches, and the food has a consistent, standard taste. Our fish was a bit slow to arrive; we had already finished our stir-fried cabbage and beer, even though we were eating slowly. The fish was fresh, and the sauce, made with bird's-eye chilis, had a great aroma. The stir-fried cabbage was crunchy and paired well with the crispy dried shrimp and salted fish. The seating is good for groups and is located on a slight incline down to the beach. Be careful, as there are many steps.

If you love seafood with an ocean breeze, Mum Aroi Sriracha is a must-visit! The restaurant sits right by the sea with a relaxing, open-air vibe — perfect for family dinners or a casual evening out. We ordered crab curry, steamed squid with lime, and the deep-fried sea bass — everything was fresh and perfectly cooked. Service was surprisingly quick even though it was packed, and the staff were attentive, friendly, and helpful with recommendations. Try to go around 5–6 PM to catch the sunset — the view is amazing. Prices are a bit above average but worth it for the freshness and seaside atmosphere. Definitely coming back again!”

A well-known restaurant in Si Racha, Chonburi, known for its delicious food. The staff are attentive, quick, and efficient, with great attention to detail. The ambiance is also very pleasant.

I know it’s a touristy place for seafood in the Sri Racha, but why not ? We ordered grilled prawns, fried chicken wings (though a bit dry), fried kale with salted fish, fried curry crab (no shells), steam crabs, total 2600 baht with two drinks Nice view siting next to the beach and enjoy the sea breeze We went there after 7:30pm so no queue at all.

French restaurant
Cafe des Amis Fine Dining is a renowned restaurant in Pattaya, offering an exceptional culinary experience. The menu features a variety of high-quality seafood, steaks, and other upscale dishes served in an elegant setting with a charming patio. The restaurant takes pride in its attention to detail and offers an impressive selection of wines from around the world. Known for its authentic Japanese Wagyu steaks that are incredibly tender, Cafe des Amis provides a dining experience like no other in Pattaya City.
This was my second time dining at this restaurant, and once again, it exceeded all expectations. It’s truly one of the most remarkable culinary experiences I’ve ever had. The atmosphere is elegant, the service impeccable, and the food — unforgettable. The duck was perfectly cooked: tender, juicy, with a crisp, flavorful skin. The lobster risotto was rich, creamy, and bursting with freshness, generously topped with lobster. Every dish reflects true craftsmanship and a deep passion for fine cuisine. I’ll definitely keep coming back.

The restaurant is very cozy, and the service is impeccable. The wine pairings were right on spot for the food served. The beef wellington was pure magic, it really melted in your mouth. I think it's probably the best restaurant in Pattaya area. However, it's not a star level restaurant, there are a few details here and there that still can be improved upon. And I find that peculiar, as they have already gone about 80% of the way there, why not take the last few steps as well and put a star on the wall as well?

Really enjoyed dining here! The service was excellent and the food was great. Can’t believe this place has been around for decades and I just discovered it. Highly recommend the foie gras and risotto. Both were amazing. They’re also well known for their beef Wellington. The atmosphere is lovely, and I was even surprised to find their outdoor toilet has air conditioning! Definitely recommend booking in advance.

Absolutely amazing food, service, and ambiance. It's probably the best western food you can get in Pattaya. It's pretty expensive, but I think the food and service match the price. Everything we had (set menu 1 and 2) was delicious. We'll go again for any special occasion.

An excellent high end restaurant. We had the Escargot, pan fried Foie Gras, Beef Wellington and the desert selection, all of which were delicious. The service was friendly and polite and the atmosphere was tranquil and warm. An excellent restaurant, and one to which we will visit much more often.

It had been a while since my last visit to Café des Amis in Pattaya, and I’m pleased to say it’s still absolutely exceptional — possibly even better than before. I’ve never considered myself a foodie or expert on fine dining, but I know quality when I see it — and this place delivers on every level. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between elegant and relaxed, making it ideal for a special occasion or treat. On this visit, I took my girlfriend (a chef herself) and we opted for the 7-course tasting menu. From lobster to steak, foie gras to sushi, every dish was executed to perfection. The ingredients were clearly of the highest quality, the flavours were spot on, and the presentation was flawless. Service throughout the evening was attentive, friendly, and professional — the kind of smooth experience that elevates the entire meal. One thing that really stood out this time was the private conservatory area — a brilliant addition that adds a more intimate touch to the experience. Hats off to the team and management. This was without doubt one of the finest meals I’ve had in Pattaya. If Michelin ever gives the city a look, Café des Amis should be right at the top of the list. Highly recommended — treat yourself. You won’t regret it.

A Masterpiece of Culinary Theatre – Café des Amis, Pattaya Having travelled extensively and dined at some of the world’s most renowned establishments, I can say with conviction that Café des Amis in Pattaya stands among the very finest. The experience here transcends mere dining — it is performance art. The service operates with such precision, grace, and attentiveness that it feels akin to watching a Broadway production unfold before your eyes. The kitchen exhibits extraordinary technical clarity — each dish executed with discipline, artistry, and confidence. The short rib in particular is a triumph: deep, meaty, and luxuriously rich, embodying the very essence of culinary indulgence. The menu itself is a global showcase of the finest ingredients, each plate harmonising texture, flavour, and visual elegance. Owner Blu is a perfectionist in the truest sense — a visionary constantly striving for new heights of excellence. His relentless pursuit of refinement is evident in every detail, from the choreography of the service to the flawless presentation of each course. The newly unveiled conservatory is a spectacular addition — an architectural and sensory enhancement that amplifies an already world-class experience. I have flown from England to Thailand on multiple occasions solely to revisit this remarkable restaurant — a testament to its magnetism. Café des Amis doesn’t just deserve its glowing reputation; it defines what exceptional hospitality should aspire to be.

I was in a large diner party tonight and had a fabulous evening with fine dining. The group's attendies came from Australian, America, England , Thailand, Lao, Japan, and Hongkong . This restaurant was able to satisfy every one. Our orders included; Alaskain king crab, wagyu sushi rolls, lobster bisque soup, Wagyu Steak, duck liver , salads, soups.... Etc. Since our participants varied it was reflected in foods ordered. Wonderful flavors and beautiful presentation made the diner a challenge for our taste buds to keep up. Appetizers started our meal and dessert and after diner liquor helped us finish. Not only was the food excellant, the premise was beautiful and the staff was attentive. This place made us all feel like nobility . If you have read this far then let me tell you, get there early, enjoy a drink at bar ,second to none in this area. Talk to the bar tender ( get an old fashion, irish coffee , Makers Mark. (Or my new favorite ... Ask for Rockland gin. ) If you are lucky the owner be there. His presence makes you feel like trying more dishes , being risky ordering exotic dishes. Todays, experience was worth going back . A+++++ to handle fine dining while being efficient in serving large parties this restaurant was what fine dining
