There may be a traffic near view point on week end we have to wait near 15 mins, but after that we can see the full beauty of the ooty view. We can cover almost full of the area from here. Stunning view is there try to be visit on sunny day otherwise mist may hide the view. Entry fee will be collected at the entry for vehicle and we have to pay 20 rs per head we can pay through UPI also. Many shops available there we can purchase small things. Restroom available here.

This peak offers a complete view of valley.There are snack outlets and even a having parlour.The entry ticket is 10₹. One can even buy sweaters and shawl and even hats. One weekends the place becomes highly crowded

This is a really good view spot in Ooty and a must visit, it is the tallest point in the Nilgiris. The experience was decent, first you are supposed to buy a ticket, but before you get in line for the ticket, you have to enter the market, which had clothes and souvenirs. There are may cameramen present there who will click and print photos on the spot. There is also a watchtower, which you can climb up to get a better view from the Peak. The road leading up to this peak is also scenic, with tall trees.

A few minutes away from Ooty centre, it's worth visiting. At Doddabetta checkpoint, around Rs 50-60 deducted for car entry. Entrance fee is Rs 10. Have to walk a couple of steps to go to the viewing point. There's a small watch tower. There's also a few steps leading down to another viewpoint. Overall, amidst the hills of Ooty and Doddabetta, the views are scenic and serene.

One of the great spots to experience Ooty . I wanted to see sunrise but looks like they allow only after 8 am & they follow stringent timelines on open n close so don’t bother visiting after or before official time . They are many good scenic spot while climbing the peak as well .

Visited Doddabetta Peak in Ooty and it was an amazing experience. It is one of the highest peak in South India, and the view from the top is truly breathtaking. I recommend visiting early in the morning to avoid the crowd and traffic. The place closes by 5 PM, so plan accordingly. A must-visit spot in Ooty!

Visited with family. Boating was closed due to heavy rain, but the area was clean and well-managed. Tried the toy train—an average to-and-fro ride. Good restaurants, street food options, ample parking, and plenty of food and raincoat shops nearby.

Visited in October 2025, Nice lake, having ample paid parking based on days, on weekend and public holidays there will be a rush. Having lots of entertainment options for children and adults as well like boating, speed boating, pedal boating. There is also toy train for children's. Plenty of food joints.

Small Gothic Church one of the first colonial structions built in the 1820 s on the site of a Toda Temple. Timber for the roof was hauled here by elephant from Tipu Sultan's Palace in Srirangapatnam (Mysore). Nice stained glass windows and an interesting graveyard at the back, but not that outstanding. This is one of the bigger heritage Church in Ooty with beautiful architecture and the compound beautifully decorated with a garden having wide variety of flowers. Also the beautiful view of the hills in the distance was mesmerizing. It was definitely worth the walk. We enjoyed clicking pictures in the Church compound and had a great time. It has a nice peaceful vibe. If you are interested in places of worship, you could surely visit this church.

Ambience is nice, be warned this is an expensive restaurant, the most affordable dish starts from 350Rs IIRC, situated on a hill top the weather changes as quickly as the clouds keep moving, my kids loved the chocolate mousse so much that we carried back parcels of it.

Me and my friends had one of the worst food experiences of our life at this restaurant. We were served undercooked chicken, and when we complained, they took it back only to return the same piece, just refried. This is completely unacceptable, especially when it comes to food safety. I strongly recommend avoiding this place — save your stomach and your money.

We visited Hyderabad Biryani House on a Sunday afternoon, and as expected, there was a long queue during lunchtime. But honestly, the wait was completely worth it! The food was absolutely delicious—flavorful, authentic, and served fresh.

Visited here 4 months back. The food was delightful. The rice in the biriyani was soft and fluffy, and the mutton soft and highly recommend the Chicken Tandoori. It is always busy and crowded most of the time so better to avoid in peak hours. It's difficult to find parking near by restaurant and cleanliness is little bitter and the view from the restaurant is good and seating were finest. The so called hype was not evident, the food ordered was biriyani boneless, we found a worm, a cockroach in the biriyani, when I called the waiter he simply told a sorry and called for a replacement, though the restaurant seems premium the kitchen is terribly dirty, PLEASE AVOID THIS RESTAURANT if you really love biriyani. The Chicken Tikka was overcooked( the condition of the grill space is shown in the pics).

Worst Experience Ever – Highly Overrated! We visited this restaurant after seeing it all over YouTube and social media, and it turned out to be the worst dining experience ever. We traveled all the way from Bangalore expecting something decent, but what we got was shocking. • After checking in, we sat for over 20 minutes without even being served water. No one bothered to attend to us. • The tables were filthy, the tablecloths looked like they hadn’t been cleaned since afternoon, and even the chairs were dirty. I’ve attached pictures to show how unhygienic it really was. • The service is beyond poor. The staff are old, disinterested, and extremely impolite. They rush around without any courtesy. If a group of kids walks in, they get priority over everyone else—while the rest of us are left waiting like we don’t exist. • What’s worse, people were mixing alcohol into Coke bottles openly and drinking inside. It was very awkward and uncomfortable for families and others dining there. • The entire atmosphere is chaotic, unhygienic, and disrespectful to customers. This place is highly overrated on social media. Don’t be fooled by the hype—if you value your time, money, or even basic respect as a customer, avoid this restaurant at all costs. Cozy Chinese food in the cold weather 🥰 what more is needed? Definitely worth the try and good quantity for the price. Onion Beef dish was tender and super delicious. Thank you chef ! And the soups and noodles were also tasty !! Must try in Ooty!

We had a family lunch at Shinkows in Ooty and ordered Sour Pepper Soup,Chicken Mushroom Soup,Fried Rice,Pork Chilli, Fried Chicken, Prawn Hot Garlic,Soft Chicken Noodles,Stir fried Vegetables, Spring Rolls & Ice Cream. The ambience was pleasant,but the parking facility was very congested and have to park in Road side.The food was just average,similar to what you might find at a roadside eatery, and the prices felt high for the portion sizes. The Pork Chilli was good, the Stir-fried Vegetables were the best, keeping that authentic Chinese flavour, but the Soups & Garlic Prawns were very poor in both taste and texture(Waste of Money) On the service side, the staff were helpful but On table clearance and Cleaning side they should focus more on it . Nothing outstanding, but at least worth trying once.

From a young age, I have known this restaurant to be very old and authentic, and the food was the best back then. When I visited in July 2023 with my family, we ordered noodles, fried rice, and chicken, and everything tasted amazing. However, during my recent visit in June 2025, while the noodles were still good, the fried rice was disappointing. The taste seems inconsistent with each visit. Also, the tablecloth doesn't look clean, and that's a turn-off. The environment also feels outdated, as the place has been around for decades. It would be great if the restaurant could upgrade its interiors to feel more vibrant while still keeping its authentic charm.

Had been for dinner here. The taste is just like any street side Chinese restaurant, and has nothing that commands a visit. The service and ambiance as very average too. When I went to tip the server 50₹ on a 500₹ bill, he asked for more; ended up tipping 100. You would find better places in Ooty.

The location is very close to city centre of Ooty. The ambience is good. A lot of articles about bees framed and Hanged on walls which is informative. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. It’s a house converted into a restaurant. Dining area is on first floor and kitchen is on ground floor. They say they have slow cooking which also delays the service. However the quality of food is not great. We ordered soup and found an instect in it. The quality is pizza and pasta was also not good. The manager did not even apologise for the insect in soup. Hygiene and quality is questionable.

But it is of course lose importantly a restaurant and a good one at that. The pizzas are excellent. The ambience is cozy. The informal setting is nice and warm. The place looks amazing when you enter it. It has a very cozy ambience, perfect lighting, and the walls are nicely decorated with photo frames related to bees. It sets your expectations soaring.

A decent place in Ooty, especially very nice cafe to hangout for visitors. I had been to this place and liked the interior, very nice decoration with inside and outside seating. I have ordered fresh lime soda - was very refreshing. White sauce pasta- was too delicious with lots of olives and creamy sauce. Taste could have been better, but it was good. Garlic bread - this was quite different from other places, served with mayonnaise and it had soft texture with crunchy taste, perfect one to try here. The only problem I felt was, most of the items were not there when I went, so I have to choose what they prefer. Very less staff. Prices were reasonable.

We took some pizzas and starters in both veg and non veg. They have a scope to upgrade their taste still. Starters were frozen and the same was backed and served, it's not prepare on the same day ot time. So taste is not that good. Ambience were attractive and cosy place to visit which I would definitely prefer, however with respect to the food and beverages I'm going with 3 start rating for now.

Nice and calm place to be. Its busy during evenings. Everyone won't like the taste of its food items. Lots of research and planned work has been put up on walls of cafe about bees. Different types of bees to see. Its good for pasta and pizza. Menu can have more of items. Non-veg soup was very disappointing.

We searched for a cozy cafe and found this one, The ambience and feel this of this place is great. We'd hot chocolate which was okay, and the waiting time was too long. The person who served us was kind, he called a ride for us since we couldn't find any. The bee info and products are intriguing.

Loved this cozy little eatery and the food was really nice, the pizza, the chicken steak and the bread were all lovely. The place follows the concept of slow food and is inspired my bee farming and honey. The staff is warm and polite and the food is delicious

We tried the wood-fired pizza and pasta, but the flavors didn’t stand out, leaving much room for improvement in taste and quality. On a positive note, the staff were extremely cordial and attentive, ensuring a comfortable dining experience. Their hospitality was a highlight of the visit. While the service was commendable, the food quality is a crucial factor that needs enhancement to match the overall atmosphere. It’s a place with potential, but for now, it delivers an average culinary experience. Overall, it’s a 3/5 Star experience — decent for a casual visit, but not something that would draw you back for the food alone.

I walked-in by seeing the interior and ambience of the cafe from outside. And of course the wood oven for pizza. The food was not so great but ambience and staff is very courteous. Served well, and had taken extra care as I was a tourist. The pizza chef is sweet , we had good conversation about local culture and people. One can visit the cafe to have nice pizza. It is at commercial road. Where I one can have good walk through market and pick some local stuff.

I was born and brought up in Ooty, and whenever I visit this place, the food always tastes amazing; the pizza and pasta are good. The vibe is calm and pleasant, and the restaurant has a nostalgic 90's feel. However, during my last visit, I noticed it still looks the same. I wish they would renovate it to a more modern style while keeping that '90s touch. Also, the washrooms were not clean; please make sure proper hygiene is maintained.

Very tasty food and also reasonably priced. Ambience could do a bit of improvement. Place looked dark and old. We had the yummiest napolitan spaghetti. The spicy supreme veg pizza was a overly spicy for kids. Desserts were really yummy. We had brownies with ice cream and nuts

Ok, this is a difficult one. The servers/staff there were super polite and helpful. However, the ambiance feels...old. Not vintage, not classy..but old. The restaurant did not feel welcoming despite the best efforts from the staff. The food as well was OK at best. I ordered Aglio Oglio Sphagetti and what I got was hakka noodles with red chillies and vegetables topped with cheese. It tasted fine, but it was NOT pasta. It was noodle dish with cheese on top. I do not wish to assume much since it was my one and only visit there, but there is definitely a disconnect between what the restaurant claims to be <-> aspires to be <-> what it really is. Could have been much better considering it is situated at such a prime spot in market.

Nahar Sidewalk Café is conveniently located on the main road in Ooty and serves a variety of veg fast food and multi-cuisine dishes. The ambience is nice and there’s ample seating space, making it suitable even for larger groups. However, I found the place a bit understaffed, and there’s room for improvement in cleanliness. Overall, a decent spot for a quick vegetarian meal in the heart of Ooty.
