Our recent trip to Nagzira Tiger Reserve was nothing short of magical, thanks in large part to our stay at the Forest Rest House right in the heart of the jungle. We stayed in Madhukunj, a charming room facing the serene Nagzira Lake, waking up to the sounds of the forest and the tranquil lake view was an experience in itself. We did 4 safaris through the Pitezari Gate, each one unique and memorable. On our first safari, we witnessed the thrilling chase of a pack of wild dogs trying to hunt a spotted deer – our first time seeing dholes in action! The second safari surprised us with a graceful peacock dance, feathers fully fanned in all its glory. The third safari gave us a fantastic sighting of a sloth bear, lumbering through the road. And on our final safari, we had a close encounter with a lone wild dog, bringing the trip full circle. While we just missed the famous Pangadi male tiger during the second safari and heard close leopard calls, we truly appreciated the dedication of our driver and guide, who went above and beyond to track the big cats. Their enthusiasm and knowledge made every safari exciting, even without a tiger or leopard sighting. A special mention for the food, it was delicious, freshly prepared, and very reasonably priced. Simple yet wholesome, it perfectly complemented the raw, rustic charm of the forest surroundings. If you're someone who truly appreciates nature, wildlife, and the peaceful beauty of the jungle, this forest rest house stay is an experience not to be missed. Even without a big cat sighting, the richness of wildlife and the stay amidst the wilderness made this trip absolutely memorable. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a truly immersive jungle experience!
Nestled in the heart of Maharashtra, Nagzira Wildlife Sanctuary is a paradise for wildlife enthusiasts, photographers, and nature lovers. Unlike the more commercialized tiger reserves, Nagzira offers a raw, untouched wilderness experience, making it one of the best places to truly connect with nature. The sanctuary is home to diverse wildlife, including tigers, leopards, sloth bears, wild dogs, and a variety of deer species. The birdlife here is also incredible, with vibrant kingfishers, peacocks, and hornbills adding to the charm. The best part? Since Nagzira is less crowded than other reserves like Tadoba or Pench, you get to enjoy a peaceful safari with higher chances of spotting elusive animals. The jeep safaris are well-organized, with knowledgeable guides and forest officials ensuring a great experience. The morning safaris offer a magical view of the misty forests, while the evening safaris bring out the golden hues of the setting sun. The lush greenery, dense woods, and serene water bodies make it a dream for nature photographers. While there aren’t many historical palaces in the sanctuary itself, the surrounding region has ancient temples and heritage sites, which add to the cultural significance of the area. The accommodation options near Nagzira range from forest rest houses to eco-resorts, but it's advisable to book in advance, especially during peak seasons. One downside is the limited food options near the sanctuary, so carrying essentials is recommended. However, the experience of being in such a pristine forest more than makes up for it. Overall, Nagzira Wildlife Sanctuary is a must-visit for those seeking a true wildlife adventure, away from commercialized tourist hubs. A perfect blend of tranquility, adventure, and breathtaking natural beauty! 🌿🐅✨
Visitors say this national forest offers amazing wildlife safaris, beautiful nature views, and opportunities to spot tigers, leopards, sloth bears, wild dogs, and a variety of deer species. They also highlight the sanctuary's diverse birdlife, including vibrant kingfishers, peacocks, and hornbills, and its peaceful atmosphere. You can visit here.
Nagzira Wildlife Sanctuary is a rich biodiversity park located near Nagpur in Maharashtra. The park boasts of a vast variety of flora and fauna and houses exotic species of animals, birds and plants. The park also has a cottage to facilitate accommodation for the visiting guests which in itself is a unique experience. Besides, it has a temple of snakes located right in the centre of the Sanctuary.
Chorkhamara Gate 1: This zone is known for its dense forests and hilly terrain. It provides a chance to encounter wildlife such as tigers, leopards, sloth bears, and a variety of bird species. Chorkhamara Gate 2: Located in the Nagzira Wildlife Sanctuary, this zone is characterized by its hilly landscape and mixed forests. It offers sightings of wildlife such as tigers, leopards, sambar deer, bison, and diverse birdlife. Pitezari Safari Zone: This zone includes the picturesque Navegaon Lake and surrounding forests. It offers an opportunity to spot various bird species, including migratory birds, as well as other wildlife like deer, langurs, and many more wildlife species.
Our trip to Nagzira in March 2020 turned out better than expected. We saw wild dogs (dhols), a female leopard, langur, spotted deer, sambar deer, nilgai, peacocks, gaur, wild boar, owl in the space of three safaris. The Central Indian jungle gives a serene feeling and it was very soothing to experience nature and wildlife from an open Jeep. Our driver and guide were friendly and knew the forest well though we had to often poke them to tell us few things. We stayed at FDCM Nagzira resort and it was quite a unique experience to stay inside the core zone of a tiger reserve. Few people saw a leopard couple at the resort restaurant at night and there are almost always deer and langurs very close to the restaurant.
Went there in last week ie Oct 17 Booked online, morning slot Forest was quite dense and cool, guide was also good, but sad part is was not able to locate many species there. As per discussion with guide if you wanna see good amount of animals than go there near June evening slot.
Very huge forest and it is divided in to two parts the old part is very nice and the new part of the jungle is full of green tress flowers and other plants but very few animals are in the new part of forest . If your new to visit the forest go for the old part of the forest and spend atleast 2 days so that you can enjoy the whole jungle. There is also vary nice facility of resort inside the forest by the government also there are various private resort available in which you can get rooms through online booking. Kaur type nagzira resort. Now days 5tigers are in the forest and various different type of birds you can see in this forest . Most possibility of seeing wild dogs . If your lucky u can have citations of tiger and leopard 🐆. Many of photogenic people came for having great nature pictures . Only come before rainy season during summer.there is more chance to see the whole animals of the jungle.

Surrounded by dense forests and rocky terrains, the waterfall offers a peaceful retreat for nature lovers. It’s an ideal spot for picnics, trekking, and photography, especially during the monsoon when the falls are at their most majestic. All good but they don't allow to cook food inside the campus
There is only a waterfall so small I visit with my friends I recommend that anyone who wants to go there then go in rainy season (please go in four wheeler) or if you want enjoy the rain then it's your choice I definitely sure that in rainy season you must enjoy the place
Hazar Falls is a very good place to visit. The road is a little bad but it is very close to Rajangaon, at a distance of 50 kms.
Hazra Falls,...This waterfalls is in Dhanegaon village,,,You need to pay entry fees of 20 per person,,and Rs 30 for a four wheeler..From the main road the Hazra waterfalls is 1 kms inside. On weekends a lot a tourists can be seen ,,,families come to make merry and have fun...You will also find Restrooms and Short canteen ...Ropeway activity can be done here for Rs 200/-...It is a nice and happening place.
This place is so refreshing with a cool surrounding... Cold winds and amazing sight of the Hazra Falls!! 😍👌👌 A play area is also maintained well for kids and quiet zones surrounded by greenery and having benches prove to be good zones for couples to spend some quality time together. Overall, a very good experience to wear out tiredness and get refreshed!! ✨😎
Good place to come with family and friends. Water fall look nice in rainy season, Not properly developed and managed. Required to make it more attractive for tourist. It is normal fall, not a big tourist attraction, can come with family and friends for picnic,. Water is safe till fencing after that it is very risky. Avoid to go near fencing. As the road become sleepery Best to come with car for those coming from long distance.
Cannot enter in the water it's restricted. Water flow is very less. No canteen or food zone available there. Avoid to visit in summer
