A stunning location for a templestay, we went in spider lily bloom which was beautiful. The temple is quite rural although lots of tourists during the day. the accommodation is a little away from the temple which makes it quieter and we had a lovely walk to the temple for early morning chants. The food was delicious and plentiful and the staff were so very helpful and kind.
This is a beautiful Buddhist temple located by the foot of the mountain with a river running beside it. From the parking lot, it's quite a walk to get to the temple. It's a relaxing walk though because there are so many trees and if you come here at the right time in the month of September, the path is covered with vibrant red spider lilies. We came a little late so we did not see any spider lilies but we still enjoyed our time. It was raining too but it was still very beautiful. This is an old temple built in the the late 500AD. So there's so much history in this place that the Koreans are still able to preserve.
Experienced a TempleStay in Seonunsa and I was amazed by its beauty! It has a great location surrounded by nature that makes your stay so relaxing. I totally recommend to come to this temple if you want to get away from the noisy city. Plus the temple food (vegetarian) here is amazing!
One of the good place to enjoy the red spider lily flowers,it’s blooming on September. The admission cost 3,000₩ but the resident card 65 years old and over is free. At the time I visit a lot of photographers were here. This area have a famous hiking route too. The temple was good very peaceful a huge space you can enjoy and relaxing here. The famous dish in this town is eel fish. At the entrance you will see a lot of shop selling stuffs, I did try the barbecue Ginkgo taste was bitter, but the black berry juice was good but have a lot off seeds.
A temple nestled in lush greenery, featuring numerous smaller shrines within its larger compound. The temple is a 10-minute walk from the entrance.

선운산 was a great hike. There is a nice and a fantastic park at the base of this short mountain. Be sure to get some raspberry wine when you visit!
This is Seonunsa Temple[禪雲寺], or the main architecture of significance, or group of buildings to be found inside the grounds of Seonunsa Temple National Park [禪雲寺道立公園]. Well worth a visit, if you love beautiful trees and breathe taking scenery. This temple has absolutely beautiful grounds, especially in Autumn when the leaves are brownish red and falling, it is truly a sight to wonder. Here I am going to explain how to get from Seoul to here . Well first you get a train ride from Seoul Yongsan Station, and get off at a nearby town called Jeongeup(井邑), you find some cheap motels near this railway station and book several nights of accommodation here. I'm assuming you are also visiting other parks nearby, at roughly one night per park of time. You need two nights for just visiting Seonunsa Park if you going to spend a whole day there. As you get out of Jeongup[井邑] railway station, your first task is to try to find the Tourist Information Office (井邑综合旅游咨询中心) which is situated just outside the train station. You ask how and where to catch the earliest bus which usually means a bus going in the morning, to go to Seonunsa Temple[禪雲寺] or Seonunsa National Park. You point the destination on the map at the Tourist Office. The important thing is you must make sure, the return journey, the last bus leaves when, and where from the park area, how frequent they come back to Jeongeup so that you can be at your hotel, before too dark. You can of course take beautiful pictures at this park, spend a whole lazy day, or an intense day walking around the whole parkland. You need to carry some drinking water, and there will be public toilets and fast-food near the entrance of the park. A really great experience, most gentle walkers should be able to accomplish successfully.

(Translated by Google) It is 334.7m high. BAC famous 100. I've been to Seonunsa Temple before because it's such a famous temple, but this is my first time hiking there. Perhaps because there was rain in the forecast, there were few hikers. The shortest route to Suribong, the summit of Seonunsan Mountain, is to climb the road next to the right wall before going to Seonunsa Temple. It takes about 2 hours to see the summit and come back down.~^^ It was originally called Dosolsan Mountain, but its name was changed to Seonunsan Mountain as Seonunsa Temple, founded during the Baekje period, became famous. Nearby, there are low mountains such as Guhwangbong (九皇峰: 298m), Gyeongsusan (鏡水山: 444m), Gaeipalsan (345m), and Cheongryongsan (314m). Although it is not very high, the beauty of the valley is outstanding and the forest is dense enough to be called the ‘Naegeumgang of the Honam’. Major scenic spots include Nakjodae (落照臺) where you can see the sunset, Seonhakam (仙鶴岩), where a divine being came down on a crane to play, as well as famous landmarks such as Bongduam, Sajaam, Manwoldae, Cheonwangbong, Yeoraebong, Ingyeongbong, and Nojeokbong. There are many scenic spots. In particular, Seonunsa Temple's camellia forest (Natural Monument 184), which begins to bloom in early April and reaches its peak in late April, is famous. The sight of more than 3,000 camellia trees growing on the hillside behind Seonunsa Temple in bloom is spectacular. . In addition, plum blossoms, cherry blossoms, and azalea flowers are also worth seeing in the spring, and the maple leaves are beautiful in the fall. Jangsa Song (Natural Monument 354) in Samin-ri, Gochang, where the ancient temple Seonunsa Temple is located, and Songak (Natural Monument 367) at the entrance of Seonun Mountain are also famous. Seonunsa Temple has many cultural assets, such as the gilt-bronze seated Bodhisattva (Treasure 279) and Daeungjeon Hall (Treasure 290).
