Huge green tea plantation offering hikes amid verdant, terraced fields & snacks such as ice cream.

This tea plantation is amazing. The only thing I did not like about it is the missing handrail, when going up the steps. I was only able to go halfway (about 56 steps), as I fear looking down. But, otherwise, my friends were very happy to reach the top - maybe my next trip there will be different - I will try to make my way to the top, with the bird's eye view of the plantation. The onsite shops also sell different kinds of tea, the ice cream is one of the best & the cafe also serve great coffee. Visiting the Boseon Green Tea Plantation was the highlight of my trip to Jeollanan-do, South Korea.
Really cool to see where green tea comes from! I hear 40% of all Korea's green tea comes from here. They have cafes and stores. The green tea ice cream is delicious. You can also buy matcha and other high quality teas. When you come here bring a good pair of shoes to climb the stairs. If you want to see a view of the ocean, there is a rocky path and hiking shoes would be recommended.
Beautiful scenery, an amazing exhibition of nature and human artistry
Had a lovely time viewing the fields and enjoying local food at a nearby restaurant
Definitely worth the trip!! The pictures don’t do it justice. This is THE largest Tea Garden in the nation and has been opened since 1939. It had to be rebuilt after the war, but there are no traces of the previous devastation. There are many private farms nearby, but this one is open to the public and has been used as a sight for filming. Come treat yourself to something that used to be propagated only in Buddhist temples and royal courts!!! **Nice getaway from the city. Path to the farm consists of two loops. To the left from the entrance is a walking loop through thick bamboo. To the right is the tea farm. Lots of parking nearby. Wear good walking shoes.
Beautiful environment and not only the tea plants. There are flowers and nice trees all around. It is definitely worth to climb up to the observatory (the view is worth, better to start from the left side) and also to make a small side trip to the small bamboo forest.
Visiting this place was an absolute beautiful sight to see. And not to mention the green tea ice cream, so yummy!!!! I would recommend this place and visit it again. Visiting this place was so beautiful, peaceful and overall calming to my soul. I would want to go back to check out the bamboo side since I didn't find out about that side till after I left.
Nice plantation, worth a visit. Ice cream is great. Hot dog was not bad. Make sure you don't miss the bamboo trail too. Take comfortable shoes because there's a bit of a hike to the top view point.

(Translated by Google) There are many places to take pictures here and there, and if you like camping, you can also go camping. It was a bit chilly because it was very windy, but there was an ebb tide so you could experience the mudflats.
Family friendly beach camping close to 7-11 and medium size mart. Police patrol regularly during throughout the day and night. Get there early if visiting during summer weekends.
(Translated by Google) I went early in the morning, so there weren't many people, so I guess it's a little fortunate. I was embarrassed because I couldn't go up to the heart photo zone. There is a footrest at the bottom, but short people can't climb up. It's hard. Haha. The photos come out pretty. Perhaps because there are a lot of people camping, the surrounding area seems a bit messy. I just took pictures. To the green tea fields ~ (Original)

Camping, playing in the sand, walking barefoot, idling around, seeing a variety of people enjoying the warm day in various ways draws me to the sandy beach! My son is lost in sand play after playing in the calm waves, and my wife is staring at the romantic sea off Yulpo! If you come to Boseong Tea Plantation, be sure to visit Yulpo Beach for some healing! There is also a seafood market 5 minutes away by car, so you can eat fresh seafood and raw fish right on the second floor, and takeout is also available. Also, note that there are restaurants and coffee shops at the beach access road for meals. Above all, there is a seawater green tea bath operated by the county, which I really enjoy using with my parents. After taking a sauna with healthy seawater and green tea water, my skin naturally gets better! It's a good place to spend a day here especially if you can read/speak Korean.
1. Novelist Jeongrae-Jo's life 2. Let you know a part and background of history in korean war 3. Good place for understanding of korean war
This 2-story building is a writer's museum where it gives you an explanations about a writer named '조정래', and his novel called '태백산맥'. This museum was built for just one piece of work. When you step inside, a wide hall arranged an exposition of it(For example, why this book is valuable and meaningful in Korean literature), and on 2nd floor, his biography and handwritten copies from various people will be in your sight right away. And if you're lucky, you could meet a writer here! Outside, there is a wide space where descirbed a place within the book. If you are interested in Korean novel or recent history, I recommend this place without hesitation.
Even though I love the author and his books, visiting to this museum can be a waste of time. It was disappointing. I wouldn't go there any more.

The place where the literary museum was built is the actual setting of the novel, and although it is not large, the materials related to the author's writing of the Taebaek Mountains novel are well displayed. I was able to once again feel the emotion I felt while reading the book. Next to the literature museum, Sohwa's house and Hyeonbuja's house, which appear in the novel, are good for viewing.
